https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cy68gxw32zno I feel the same way George. Now sit down. Who cares about George Clooney's opinion, really? He's not a real hero, he's a fucking actor.4 points

The corruption of the main stream media is slowly unwinding. Chuck Todd is under extreme pressure for remaining silent for TWO years after a senior cabinet member told him that they don't think Biden can continue as president. As a quick reminder Chuck Todd is the Chief Political Analyst for NBC news and he sat on this story to protect Biden. As if that wasn't enough...Jerome Powell the Fed Chairman just dropped this gem in testimony to the House Financial Services Committee. With inflation raging he has not had a meeting with Biden in TWO YEARS!!! WTF?3 points

I saw that testimony. Dude should have been fired on the spot and banned from any future government job and run out of town chased by an angry mob. Instead he's laughing about this video while you continue to pay his salary. This exemplifies Trump's enduring appeal to voters. There really is a deep state of unaccountable bureaucrats & it's infuriating. We have no mechanism to deal with these people so a dude who will fire them at any cost becomes very attractive despite his many glaring flaws; his candidacy becomes more attractive as these bureaucrats use lawfare attempting to prevent him from running. The left can't grasp DJTs appeal because they aren't angered by testimony like this, they don't get why many of us don't like him but will absolutely support him. He is our only tool to crush asshole tyrants like this dude.3 points

Ever been in a gunfight? When adrenaline starts flowing one of the first things to go is fine motor skill, one of the reasons I prefer a double stack magazine.2 points

I still see a few U28's here and there but the numbers are going down. I have not seen an AC the past year I've been at UPT. Still plenty of options to get into AFSOC though. I see C-146 all the time, and word on the street is that they're standing up a new squadron for those. I also see HC's all the time.1 point

that's a good question and i don't have the answer. my speculation is he wants to push just enough to remove ukraine as a military threat, but not hard enough to energize NATO to mobilize. all the while killing two birds with one stone by sucking in nato $ and equipment to weaken it. kind of like how we think we are blood letting russia (which i'm sure is true to an extent). i think he has the same thoughts. AND he knows western public opinion can focus on a topic for weeks and then it's on to the next outrage. plus european economies aren't exactly thriving right now. and look at france...lots of political turmoil. i don't think his definition of winning is what the west thinks. the west thinks kiev....paris next. putin hasn't shown any desire to do that. i think putin wants a buffer from nato on his border. remember putin essentially had a peace deal with Z before it was sabotaged. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/06/15/world/europe/ukraine-russia-ceasefire-deal.html why would he start negotiating with Z in 2022 just weeks after the start of invasion? bluff? maybe. but i think that shows limited objectives. my main beef is this limited insight into our enemy makes for a very dangerous cocktail if either side makes the wrong move and the other side calls the bluff.1 point

Depends on what you mean by gunfight. Absolutely correct about the fine motor skills bit though. I was trying to make a joke. I'll crank up the sarcasm next, and then I'll get off your lawn.1 point

He hit the carjacker in the mouth with a four shot burst, not bad reaction shooting IMHO. That dude used 8 of his lives surviving that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

All staff is fucked - there are not enough people who are smart, critical thinkers, and not pussies, who will go work on staff. The bureaucrat swamp does not take kindly to people with the above qualities.1 point

Sitting in a car and getting surprised with a gunman at your window then shooting sideways from a seated position probably doesn't duplicate the typical range scenario. I doubt he got the gunsights to eye level. As a former FFDO, we did seated training like shooting around or over a seat and it ain't accurate like range work doing head shots.1 point

My data is about 3 years dated, but yes. AOC spots tends to be difficult to fill. Even in the AOC 101 intro briefing at the 505th, the school commander admits that no one wants to work in the AOC.1 point

And yet, this was from Putin himself: Putin says Biden is better for Russia than a Trump presidency And my apologies if I’m little more than skeptical when it comes to believing US intelligence officials after what they’ve done to Trump over the years… https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/putin-says-biden-better-russia-trump-presidency-rcna1389421 point

As I have been saying for years, the mainstream media continues to violate the most basic journalistic standards and ethics. If you think CNN's Donna Brazile giving Hillary the debate questions in advance was a one off, think again. The Biden campaign drafted questions for the president’s interviews on a pair of Black radio shows Now that they have been caught the station fired the reporter but it is the tip of the iceberg. These clowns are complicit in hiding just had bad that demented meatbag really has become.1 point

They’ll just spin it as him being old and that we are being mean for making fun of his age, and that Biden has had a long successful career who saved democracy from the clenches of Trump’s teeth and only recently is he slipping due to old age. When in reality, anyone who has been paying attention would see Biden had always been a bumbling halfwit his whole career. Sometimes bumbling halfwits are useful, they’ll do what their handlers tell them and obey the party line.1 point

It has been eye opening to see how much the lack of pilots on staff affects strategic to operational planning and decision making. As a younger dude you think it’s just the guys flying tactically leaving AD and TFI that might lose the war… I scoffed the 13O program when it was started, but some of those dudes are saving AOCs right now since they know the process so well, but it still takes some corporate air force aviation knowledge -if you will- to steer them. We killed that program, though, so now there really are no AD volunteers.0 points
