Two would be crazy. Every member of the House of Representatives would be a slave to their staff in a way much worse than the president currently is to the bureaucracy. I say 3 terms for senators and 6 for representatives, and that applies to all districts. No switching counties or states for another 6/3 terms. You need a few years to become an expert in any job. But the incidence of corruption is much higher in the 20+ year offices. Also, it greatly reduces the number of geriatric congressmen, since so many are age-in-place barnacles. A particularly savvy politician could then only serve 46 years of elected office if they successfully win every election as a representative, senator, vice president, and president. Numerically that will be impossible for more than 4 people per generation. If you can pull that off, bravo. The rest will be limited to <20 years3 points

Democrats gonna cry about this one, I can already hear the screeching now. But If he can just manage to impose term limits on congress that would be one of the greatest achievements of any president ever.2 points

Pritzger, another Democrat out there trying to console and comfort all the Democrat snowflakes who are sooooooo scared of what’s coming! Why do democrats revel in their fear and weakness. Here’s a grown man telling other grown men and women to grab their safety animal (stuffed toy) and run to a safe place. How did the democrat party go from a working class, blue collar party, populated by the same men who stormed the beaches of Normandy and Iowa Jima, into a party of soy boys, effeminate Beta’s, and weak, hysterical women, who aren’t t even embarrassed about crying over an election. Look at Jimmy Kimmel. So weak, so scared, so BETA, AND THEY ARE PROUD OF IT! This is why they lost the Black Male and Hispanic votes. WHO wants to be associated with such pathetic whiners?2 points

I hope that happens, and I think any GO is senior. I have some names to suggest if he's looking. And Miley should be pulled from retirement just to get demoted.2 points

It's anomalous in national politics, and definitely bears exploring. The only thing known for certain: it can't be fraud. Biden was the most popular POTUS in our history and the election process is airtight.2 points

"I will ask for the resignations of every single senior military official who touched the Afghanistan disaster. I want their resignations immediately. And I want them on the desk of the Oval Office at twelve o'clock, Inauguration Day." https://x.com/Osint613/status/18531814846407353262 points

I doubt there is one yet. Putin knows Trump is going to impose one so he's signalling he's ready to negotiate. The solution has never been difficult. Divi up the territory that's been fought over, call it a draw, keep Ukraine neutral, and agree to hold elections free from Russian and USA influence.2 points

IDGAF about him spending the rest of his life in jail versus executed. If he offered something up to get that deal, even better. Besides, getting killed is the easy way out. Enduring the rest of your life in prison as you slowly waste away is a better punishment, IMO.2 points

I would love Rand Paul as Sec Tres. But I don't think Tres can really solve our national debt issues...that comes down the Senate and House passing pork filled ridiculous budgets. What are the con's of taking a sitting Republican Senator and making them a cabinet Secretary? Is there some worry about losing that seat in a reelection?1 point

Man, doesn't Purple already have it bad enough with their activist investors and contract negotiations? Now they gotta deal with Putin's package bombs too?! They can't catch a break...1 point

She is reasoned and even keeled. When she ran against him she was VERY careful not to trash him. Instead, her main tag line was Chaos follows him, which is nuanced enough not to insult him. All the GOP folks are high-fiving thinking they have a giant mandate but things always go wrong and many of them are more self-serving than Nikki Haley, when jobs and other cuts start to impact individual districts blood will be shed. Think back to 2016-2018...they had Trump, the House and the Senate and they still could not get some big things signed into law. Aside from sealing the border there has to be some legislation to address the situation, that will take compromise. There is also the pesky national debt...Trump campaigned on keeping taxes low, not taxing tips, not taxing overtime...those things add up. I hope he follows up with Elon and cuts the size of the Fed Govt....but again that will take compromise.1 point

Isn’t he one of the guys who says that Trump will be a fascist dictator/Hitler? I’m guessing he’s getting his affairs in order to move out of the country…after all, who would voluntarily decide to stay and live under control of such a horrible monster?1 point

Pandemic turnout could be an interesting avenue to explore. 81,000,000 votes down to ~62,000,000 votes DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. That is inexplicable. It cannot be hand-waived. That is an unbelievable difference in voter turnout. You're talking 20,000,000 people showing up, and then not showing up. That doesn't happen without a very clear reason. Period.1 point

I’m hoping they take the NFA to SCOTUS and they strike it down. It is a gross violation of the constitution and not that it should matter, but there is objectively no evidence it has accomplished anything it was supposedly created for.1 point
