It's funny to see Jimmy Kimmel talk about something being bad for women...the same guy who co-hosted the man show. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.3 points

Honestly I’ve seen zero maturity from nearly all of the left people I’m still connected with on SM. A couple have remained silent on SM, but the majority have displayed childish thinking and outrage the last several days. They are absolutely deranged and unhinged from reality and logic; it’s sad to see people who were great 20 years ago be completely brainwashed fools now. Too bad. Now I do think at the national level they’ve politically responded better than 2020, I will give those props where it’s due. But it has nothing to do with maturity…reference my friend-based example, the View, colleges giving kids the day off so they can cry like children, etc. Very deranged, ludicrously stupid responses all around, despite Harris, etc. actually acting professional about it (for the most part).3 points

It wasn't just the candidate, it was the policies, Joe would have lost this election as well. The open border, paying for transition surgery for illegals and prison inmates, wokeism, green new deal, govt spending, lawfare, openly supporting suppression of Constitutional rights like free speech. Don't get me wrong, unrestrained conservative policies can be just as bad, but after four years of the DNC running amok, the people were so soured that they overlooked the abortion issue and reelected the Orange Man.3 points

The election is dominating the news cycle but the think tanks and watchers are shooting up red flares. Highly recommend the Institute for the Study of War, they have a daily summary daily summary that is very detailed. Also, get outside of the U.S. based news agencies, some of the sites based int he Middle East have excellent reporting. A couple of key indicators: - Iran observed moving more missiles into launch position. (Open source reporting) - Intel reports Iran plan to use some of their better capabilities (different missiles and bigger warheads), this time. (Wall Street Journal - 12 F-15Es did a hasty deployment to Jordan two days ago. US F-15 Strike Eagle fighter jets en route to Middle East ahead of possible Iranian retaliatory attack on Israel: report (New York Post) - RC-135 Rivet Joint arrived in Jordan 12 hours ago. (OSINT Defender) - Iraq is now a center of gravity as Qatar tells Hamas to move HQ out of Qatar. (ISOW) - Hezbollah ramping attacks as well, used a Fateh-110 ballistic missile for the first time. (Open source). - Iran said planning to use more powerful weapons in next attack on Israel (Axios) - Iran’s IRGC plans ‘complex’ retaliation to Israel: What we know (AL Monitor) There are several X pages that do an incredible job (almost too good), of collecting and collating open source information and presented it with context.3 points

I absolutely think the conditions at the time could have drawn tens of millions of extra voters to the polls. -Covid was the first thing for a lot of people where government policy directly impacted them. -how many rioters were there? Idk like tens to hundreds of thousands in every major US city.. seemed like a lot of people to me when it was happening Trump jumped 11-12 million votes from 2016 to 2020 which was a huge anomaly as well. I’d be a lot more suspicious if one side had insane turnout while the other remained basically the same. But both parties had a massive jump in 2020 which tells me something really big in the zeitgeist was happening at the time. … Or somebody faked 1/6th of all of the votes to the tune of 30 million ballots, did it for both sides for some reason, and we still don’t have a single shred of evidence of the largest voter fraud conspiracy in American history.2 points

Your standard tactic when confronted with the horrific actions of your party...counter with something a FORMER aide said he did. You can never admit of confront the evil. Trump sucks, I've said it a thousand times, but the DNC has no limits to what they will do to retain power.1 point

Today we have ANOTHER demonstration of the EVIL that the DNC has become. They seem to have no limits to their contempt and corruption. We started down an ugly path under Obama when the IRS started targeting conservative groups. They malfeasance grew when the FBI invented FISA warrants to spy on a Presidential candidate, Then the intelligence community sought to suppress what they knew was a real laptop story. When the DOJ decided to wage lawfare against a political opponent I thought we found the limit of their evil...sadly we now they will punish individual Americans in their greatest time of need, simply because they have a different political ideology. FEMA official removed from role for directing hurricane relief away from Trump supporters' homes This traitor actually instructed workers canvassing Lake Placid in Florida to "avoid homes advertising Trump." What evil must circle in his consciousness. Interestingly he was only "removed" from his role but remains an employee of FEMA. Disgusting.1 point

Someone please explain AZ to me. How the in the hell does it take them this long to finish an election. It's every year too. 4 days in and they are at 82% overall but some are still around 60% reported.1 point

I don't even bother with "news" sources anymore. They are always about 6-12 hours behind anything. The more reliable OSINT twitter pages are pretty fucking good. They will frequently self-correct quickly if they get out ahead of something.1 point

Pooter wrote, “The left has shown a shocking amount of maturity and done something I think most of the maga crowd is incapable of right now: accepting election results that didn’t go their way.” I know you’re referring to last weeks election, but this is the same Left that fostered upon America a national temper tantrum after the 2016 election! Remember the riots, Marches etc that lasted for months. And don’t forget they constructed the Russia,Russia, Russia, narrative that caused chaos and havoc for Trumps Presidency. I give them zero credit. Karma is a bitch1 point

Pritzger, another Democrat out there trying to console and comfort all the Democrat snowflakes who are sooooooo scared of what’s coming! Why do democrats revel in their fear and weakness. Here’s a grown man telling other grown men and women to grab their safety animal (stuffed toy) and run to a safe place. How did the democrat party go from a working class, blue collar party, populated by the same men who stormed the beaches of Normandy and Iowa Jima, into a party of soy boys, effeminate Beta’s, and weak, hysterical women, who aren’t t even embarrassed about crying over an election. Look at Jimmy Kimmel. So weak, so scared, so BETA, AND THEY ARE PROUD OF IT! This is why they lost the Black Male and Hispanic votes. WHO wants to be associated with such pathetic whiners?1 point

my first year and half; I flew between 7-10 times a week, one cross country a month, sometimes two while I was in the squadron. Adding in Ops Sup and SOF duties, I cut that slightly, usually for 1 SOF shift and 1 Sup shift a week, sometimes more once I was running both programs. As an attached flyer up at the wing I generally flew 5-6 times week and only a handful of cross countries a year. Workday was generally 10 hours minimum, 12s were pretty common. Even with all the flying and work I never missed a parent teacher meeting/practice/or school assembly and was home by dinner most nights and weekends. I would do the job again in a heartbeat. It can be a bit of a merciless grind, but the T-6 is ridiculously fun to fly and teaching the students and mentoring FAIPS made for one of the most rewarding jobs I've ever had. I was feeling very similar after a decade of being on the road. The locations can be a bit of a challenge, particularly for family, job prospects and schools can be a challenge in those towns, but its workable IMO.1 point

2.5 is dead. Follow on syllabus is significantly better. However, T-1s, both the jet and sim program are completely going away. T-6 studs will all come with a multi/instrument rating from a handful of contracted civilian schools around the country. If they don’t get 38s they will being going straight to the FTU after T-6s. You will be home pretty much every night, some days by 1500, some not until 2300. Flying (T-6) will depend on your job and desires. I showed up knowing it was my last assignment, and requested to not get some bs job and just fly as much as I can. I double turn most days, and occasionally triple, but I’ve never been forced to fly a 3rd, if I do it it’s on a voluntary basis. Other folks fly more like once a day, or every other day. If you love flying and teaching, you will love the job. For me personally, it’s super rewarding watching these kids go from not being able to strap into the plane, to doing off station formation departures in busy class B airspace, 6-9 ft from another airplane. T-6 fleet is facing some mx issues, should be sorted out soonish, but I hear PIT is taking awhile to get though now a days, up to several months past projected grad dates.1 point

It's been a long time since I was a UPT IP, but I always had a simple hypothetical for the tanker guys I flew with that were debating the assignment. You can adapt this to whatever your current airframe is. If it was a Wednesday, middle of the day, and I came to your desk and told you that I had a pattern only sortie about to step, and you had no beans left, no requirements, nothing in your desk job that required you to skip the flight; basically, if you did it you would be doing it for nothing other than to hop in the plane and fly a little. It hasn't been a while since you've flown, and you haven't been flying your ass off. Just... Do you *want* to fly? If the answer to that is "hell yeah," then you're probably going to enjoy UPT. If you're the guy who would rather use the time to catch up on some low priority tasks, or maybe hit the commissary so you don't have to after work, or whatever other simple life and career tasks we all have, then it's probably not for you. Bottom line, if you just fucking love flying airplanes, it's hard to get a job as good as upt. If flying planes is just how you pay the bills, then moving your family to the least exciting cities in America is probably not going to be particularly fulfilling.1 point

What? Who are the people we risk our lives for that are not also us? The people who listened to Trump in 2015 were surprised with how he actually ended up governing. Myself included. My assumption is that he will run the same playbook, but this time with fewer cabinet members who are actively subverting him.1 point
