  1. so let's get this straight, tulsi was good enough to be vice chair of the DNC, good enough to run for democratic presidential nominee, good enough to be elected to US Congress FOUR times where she served on the HSAC and also the House Armed Services subcommittee on Intelligence, BUT she's not qualified. you're wrong sir. and maybe sexist? (see what I did there), or maybe racist against women of color? (hmmm) tulsi is extremely qualified to lead our IC and hopefully clean house

  2. They were far from new, both belonged to NASA who was happy to divest them. I "stole" them and got funding for the test from OSD that would turn into Combat Dragon. We used a group of Navy pilots that had been working the A-29 at Pax River. They were without a home so we rolled them in. One was outfitted with an extended boom and a development version of a GPS based stationkeeper system for cropdusters strapped on the front nose. Basically a series of lights that visually depicts spraying lanes for pilots. I understand it is very common now. The second was outfitted with a tank and a spray coil system that was used to test anti-ice systems. Airplanes would fly behind the bird as it sprayed water to see how thier systems dealt with ice build up. Here is bird one in the hangar at Pax, its been painted and we are about to remove a bunch of the NASA gear.

  5. What is it you think the DNI does? I’ll answer - oversee and direct, e.g. lead. The DNI does not work in the trenches, thus requiring a higher level of technical expertise in specific areas/capabilities. They are leading at the executive level, which means leadership, communication, and decision making skills at said level are paramount. Her resume has plenty of that, and what MOS she was/is in the Army is fairly irrelevant at this point. A similar example is we should have a pilot with a poli sci, business, etc. degree who’s been in OT/DT before run our acquisitions - there’s a guy out there with that resume who would do way better than the dipshits who have been/do run that world. Why? Because he has superior critical thinking skills and leadership skills compared to the bureaucrats who have historically been in those roles. This hypothetical guy would crush it, and with little to no acquisitions credentials on his resume.

  7. Apples to oranges. As the IC director, she will have a team behind her consisting of the SMEs; as a pilot, I can’t delegate out the expertise. Same for most cabinet positions.

  8. in case you haven't been paying attention the "trust the experts" class has been thoroughly discredited the last 4 years. covid, hunter biden laptop, "inflation is transitory" etc etc etc. it's time for a shakeup.

  9. Edit to add: What an entitled twat. Just need to rip the band aid off and call college football what it is rapidly becoming at this point: semi-pro/minor league football. I’ve always found it interesting how we’ve developed sports hand in hand with schools. In the overwhelming majority of the world, sports are tied to the community clubs. Kids grown up within the local clubs, eventually reaching an age where they can be signed by pro clubs. It was wild to me that my neighbor’s 7 year old kid in the UK was in the youth development program for a premier league club. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  10. There were so many videos of prisoners being freed from horrid conditions- legs sawed off, faces burned by acid, etc. CNN finding the single fake one in that flood of legit humanitarian sorrow is why they truly are fake news. And I’ve looked for additional fakes, can’t find them.

  11. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14196789/Prisoner-freed-CNN-Assad-intelligence-henchman-report-claims.html The 'hidden prisoner' who was rescued from a Syrian jail by CNN was a member of Bashar al-Assad's forces and killed and tortured civilians, a new report has claimed. The prisoner, whose real name is Salama Mohammad Salama, was a first lieutenant in the Syrian Air Force Intelligence, which served former President Assad, Syrian fact-checking organization Verify-Sy reported. Salama allegedly killed civilians and was responsible for detaining and torturing young men in Homs on fabricated charges, the organization claimed, citing residents. But Homs residents claim Salama was thrown in the Damascus prison less than a month ago, due to a dispute with a higher ranking officer over money he allegedly extorted. He has since been trying to gain sympathy following the fall of the regime, claiming he was 'forced' into committing his crimes, Verify-Sy reported.

  16. You got the first part right…what some of us see is not Starlink. What we do see defies conventional capabilities. EXTREMELY apparent that it’s non-linear motion. I know you are well-read and think you have this all figured out, but I was flying a Space Force orbital warfare officer who saw what we saw…that individual was just as baffled. Not saying this person knows it all, but if they didn’t know then maybe things exist out there that actually require ‘a lot of mental horsepower.’

  18. They aren't. It looks that way when you catch two different intersecting orbits that illuminate and extinguish at the intersection point. I've seen it and it's completely trippy, but the giveaway is usually that it's repeating, which makes sense because the satellites are evenly spaced in their orbits. It doesn't take a lot of mental horsepower to debunk the "conspiracy." Alien spaceships have no need for headlights. And secret government programs that have functional anti-gravity propulsion systems aren't going to leave the nav lights on while they do donuts over population centers for fun.

  24. I didn't say anything about "feelings", so strange to bring it up and even stranger to put it in quotes as if I said it. Thoughts and feelings are very different and far too many people confuse the two. I don't put any trust in rumors, especially rumors from DC from 'someone closer to the issue' (apparently I only get to "feel", while they get to "think"). Assuming the rumors are true, which is a monumental assumption, needing to learn and people not liking her are no problem. Likeability is not a qualification for a cabinet position. Needing to learn sounds like an insider critique of someone that isn't an insider. Washington, and thus our country, would be better off with fewer insiders. Unprepared is a different matter, but I think (not feel) that it would be far easier to walk in prepared for a meeting with the President on a specific subject than to walk into a firing squad that can ask anything they want.

  25. I've watched a few interviews of the NJ lawmakers concerning the drones. My first question, is everyone in NJ Italian? Second, when did drones become not gay? No shit, those things are deadly in Ukraine. It'd be cool to let one of our dudes shoot one down. It'd probably turn out to be a box of amazon dildos being delivered during the hours of darkness.

  26. Meh. I think it's more likely that people are freaking out over nonsense. Lots of pictures/videos of lights and obvious helicopters set to stupid music. FAA compliant lighting on aircraft over Allentown, PA totally makes me think of a secret military project. Drones are legal to fly at night. Larger commercial drones are going to be a thing. I would guess this is just people noticing the emergence of a new industry.

  30. I am actually surprised it has not been a bigger problem in our community. 20 straight years of combat deployments for LDHD units takes a toll. Killing people is not a pick up game and watching your work on ever increasing resolution cameras makes it personal. I did 9 deployments through the years, was fortunate to have breaks along the way for school/staff....other were in a grind for year son end...90 on 90 off, 60 on 60 off...for MANY years. Same issue for the UAS folks who in many regards have it worse. Folks flying airplanes typically have the transit time home from a deployment to start the decompression process. UAS dudes can sit at the kitchen table eating breakfast with their kids, go to work, suddenly they get the call to kill a dude they have been watching for a month. They turn the dude into hamburger and spend the next four hours watching the body to see who comes to collect him...often with his family watching and grieving. They leave the GSU, drive home and are eating dinner 20 minutes later when their kid asks "how was your day Mom/Dad?
