  1. Bullshit the biggest issue was a barrier a thousand feet off the runway, that landing made no sense and smelled like panic.

  2. Most of my interactions have gone something like: - chief walks into the room, has “the look” - Me: “oh hey chief, I’m running late for a sim brief, see ya later!” - Chief: “sounds good, I’ll tell them you were in the sim” There are good chiefs out there.

  3. That may explain the 3x Zyns, but hardly covers the other items BQzip's mom put there...

  4. Not entirely. It keeps them from developing nukes.

  5. @Majestik Møøse Boomer pretty much nailed it. I’ll say this: it was a good strategic move for us to do what we did for a time, and we accomplished significant weakening of a major adversary via supporting another’s direct actions - that’s a win. But, at this point we have well passed the sensible ROI and are now playing bullshit games with taxpayer funded property. Its time to KIO.

  6. Do you understand that the ppl you're engaging with on here actually have at a minimum a college education, decades of military service, and many with time at the Pentagon seeing behind the curtain? In other words, these aren't the ppl of Walmart with a cart full of mtn dew and ding dongs questioning why the gubment' is spending money on things they don't understand. This isn't a black and white issue. It's evolved since the start of the war and our policy needs to evolve as well. Just because it made sense to throw billions in resources/cash previously doesn't mean we're locked into that gameplan in perpetuity. People questioning the sense of continued support by us, especially when it exceeds those on the continent that are actually being threatened, have a valid concern.

  7. $175B over 3 years to buy new munitions and send the old ones to a friendly democracy where they used them to dismantle the Russian military is the wisest use of treasury funds in decades. We spend trillions on nothing most of the time. I’ll never understand how so many Americans have fallen for the line that we’re spending money on Ukraine that would otherwise go to Americans. That money literally goes to American companies. The Russians sure are good at foolin people.

  10. More details are slowly leaking out... Dash 1 was the tanker with FIVE external tanks for a recovery evolution from what was an actual DCA mission. Dude has no countermeasures. Pilot and WSO observe Gettsyburg launch and come to the conclusion the missile is tracking them. Pilot preemptively ejects both. Dash two observes a second launch and begins defensive maneuvers down to 100' AGL. As noted LSO figures out what has happened and calls the boss to KIO.

  11. Kinda a lame attack in Las Vegas. He killed himself in a Cybertruck full of fireworks, in the lobby of the Trump tower. Probably the gayest suicide bombing of the year.

  12. I remember flying with fighter pilots from a particular middle eastern nation, where the pilots spent the entire debrief trying to save face, rather than actually learn. From talking with some guys who have been sim IP's at various Asian airlines, their culture seems similar, with the added bonus of not wanting to challenge authority. If I remember correctly, the FO on the Asiana 777 that smacked the seawall in SFO, knew it was going bad, but didn't challenge the Captain. Hopefully this isn't the case, but I'd honestly be worried about that flying on Asian carriers.

  13. lol the same democracy that suspended elections? ok... the same country where the then sitting vice president had his crack head son on the BoD of a major ukranian energy company. same country which fired a prosecutor looking into crack head vice president son's company...fired after the US vice president threatened to withhold US government funding? yeah nothing to see here

  15. I’m just going to remind the room, this would happen more often if the Army had more give a shit with its tactical air defense. The only reason this isn’t happening regularly is we just don’t have that many Patriots in service. Plan accordingly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
