He went down voting my old posts again today, all 26 of my down votes are him, lol

Those airports or Sanford if you are trying to save some money. I’ve been a few times but flew in GA so haven’t stayed there. If you can make a friend or know someone, watching the airshow/aircraft flying in and out under the wing of someone’s plane is the best spot. Not sure what covid rules have affected though.

I stand corrected! Maybe I just assumed it seemed like something the Air Force would do when the guidance came down.

By that logic we can’t fly 13 star American flags because kaepernick and Nike say it’s a symbol of extremism and hate. It seems today it doesn’t matter what you intend with your symbol, words, or opinions, only what the person most offended by them thinks you meant. And I’m not advocating flying confederate flags everywhere.
-
Air Force did the same, but in standard Air Force fashion instead of just banning that flag they banned all flags except American flags and Air Force flags.

It’s refreshing seeing you talk over the last month and you’re actually saying what I’m thinking.

I don’t understand why everyone keeps interacting with the troll.

Top 3 guys in my class had 200+ hours and their commercial. Top guy had 200 hours of formation time on top of that in jets. I saw other guys with a thousand hours struggle. the key is to have the hours as a baseline but attack UPT like you haven’t flown before to build military habit patterns. The air sense you already have from hours will show through. If your set in your ways though it will get ugly, and those are the guys you usually hear about. Finally, some guys just can’t think quickly and having 1000 hours won’t fix that and they will struggle.

A year and a half ago 2 of the 6 C130 flying squadrons had commanders that didn’t attend IDE. One of them took over as a major with 4 months left until pinning on Lt Col. Granted still a lower percentage but not unheard of.

Just an update, ASAM no longer falls under the EOS, it reports direct to the Vice. And the AMC rated from the current class all outplaced to Scott, minus a HAF and a 365.
-
Careful, last time I called him out he went and found my last 18 posts and down voted all of them, lol.

No one is being skipped here but on vaccine days you can show up at the end and if they have leftover shots they’ll give it to you instead of throwing them away. They tend to run out of extras pretty quick.

If you’re a major about to hit the Lt Col board in student status right now, you should have gotten your results from the student MLR this week.

https://www.airforcemag.com/dod-makes-masks-mandatory-on-all-us-military-installations/ exciting stuff. Definitely don’t want anything to do with living on base now if I cant even hang out on the porch by myself without a mask on. I’m also not looking forward to 10-12 hours a day straight in a mask at work.

Just stating a fact. A sizable sample doesn’t mean it’s a good sample. It could be skewed just by the type of people that agree to answer. While everyone here seems to be a stats expert with black and white results, population statistics are actually super grey and hard to get right. Just consider that when looking at the results, that’s all.
-
There is a reason why it can still be an unknown going into an election the polls are calling one way. Just because it’s theoretically a representative sample size doesn’t mean it is actually representative, even if you do everything right. Too many unknowns in an actual population. Based on my Facebook feed though some of those numbers wouldn’t surprise me even if my gut tells me they are high. I agree that conspiracy theories and peoples unbelievable ability to believe in them though is for the most part not good for anyone. Present real facts to a conspiracy theory and it’s chalked up to being part of the conspiracy. People have way to much faith in other people’s ability to keep a secret.

This entire thing is ridiculous. A one sided story slamming a guy, names included, then turned on the girl. No one wins. Everyone loses.

Something else for guys that got picked up for an IDE program that doesn’t count for JPME 1. You only have to take the supplemental top off and not the entire ACSC correspondence course according to AFPC. At least this year anyway. A few guys in my program were approved for that.

He has been one of the more vocal republicans the last few days. I thought about him on our board. Glad he is speaking up.

I don’t agree completely with everything you wrote but great post. I’d say we aren’t the Army or Marines. We die if we don’t know how to do our jobs, not if we can’t beat the enemy into submission. For the most part. That said we should at least be in some kind of shape. We are professionals in the military and we deploy. I’m amazed at how many people I know who refuse to ever work out or go on a run get themselves on some sort of profile. As far as your points about pilots, that’s easy. Don’t be a Dick. Hard for some people but you’d be surprised how far that can get you even without changing your opinions, by just understanding other people’s point of view and not being a Dick. That said, don’t let people run you over either.

https://www.statnews.com/2020/10/20/cdc-data-excess-deaths-covid-19/ I looked up excess death numbers and they seemed to agree it was over 300,000, although I think it’s all from one source. I don’t see how there is no excess death when regardless of your stance on the Rona it is obviously killing some people. Seems like classic I found one (questionable) study that supports my views so it’s the most correct study.

That timeline is so extended my guess is it really just means sending a few WSOs to UPT... kind of like now.

The HUD in the C130J is certified. I assume because in a rare scenario where it throws out bad info like that it turns off and forces us to use our PFD in our HDD.
