Depends on what you have and where you are going, like everyone else said. Having done Germany and Japan I would probably take what I had to Germany, and probably not bring anything to Japan.

Apples and oranges. Your argument would mean that there are currently no combat leaders flying aircraft in the entire Air Force, and I would disagree. There isn't as much of a problem with helo pilots bailing out of the Army because there are a lot less helo jobs out in the world to entice them. There is also some validity to the AC being an officer, especially on the mobility side, and having some authority to protect his crew and mission. I would assume this also applies to the CAF side but I'm not as familiar with it. The main argument against enlisted flyers right now is that they will bail for the airlines in higher number than Os because the pay gap will be even higher. The problem as stated many times before is not that we don't have enough people that want to be pilots, its just that we aren't making them fast enough, and we can't keep them in. Making enlisted or warrant pilots does absolutely nothing to fix that problem. It just gets some people some headlines, makes it look like options are being looked at, and in my opinion is pushed to show enlisted can do it just as well as Os. Probably true, but it doesn't matter it only exacerbates the problem. My question is why would you not want to become an officer if everyone else is?

We all have to be instructed on responsible alcohol consumption now as well as not drink. This should solve the problem...

Well played.

Seems like a lot of violent agreement. I'm for the change because it makes it easier for me as the PIC to make a reasonable decision and get a much faster response, but leaves me the ability to refuse if I think its unsafe. Unless I'm interpreting this wrong. Just my 2 cents.

I want to say the rule is the uniform you retired in or the current uniform. No mixing. I do not know where that is written though.

little rock is only down if you have dependents... if you are single you are gaining as much as guys with dependents are losing. The difference between an O-3 with and without dependents now is only about 80 bucks. It was about 200.

I'm pretty sure I saw a truck with flat tires in one of those parking lots for a good 9 months.

2 I think TCAS is a great SA tool, but I absolutely hate when copilots are looking inside or just staring at the HUD and tell me we are clear because TCAS says so. Look outside the damn plane and confirm! Especially on low levels.

I had issues with mine before I got my new license last time I was in Florida even with the fake looking extension card. Another way to prove your license is good is have them look at the Florida DMV page and look up your license number. It will show still active and not expired as long as you informed Florida you are military out of state.

Mine was a random Senior Airman near the BX at Maxwell while I was at ASBC. I wanted my first salute to be a real one and he was the first one I came across. He saluted and I returned and I told him to wait up. He kinda freaked out and thought I was about to chief him and I told him he was my first salute and shook his hand and gave him the silver dollar. He looked like he thought it was pretty cool, saluted again and then walked into the BX. Talked to my grandpa about it and apparently his first salute happened exactly the same way because he wanted it to be a real first salute. That was after he finished cadets/pilot training and earned his gold bar and wings on the same day in 1947. He liked that I had unintentionally done the same thing.

Just closed on a home with a VA loan from Amy Paterson at NBOKC at 3.25%. Had a few issues come up with the house near the end but they put my file to the front and worked to make sure we closed basically on time. I would recommend their services to anyone asking about where to get a loan. I was in a state of moving and crashing at a friends apartment, but they made getting forms to them signed as easy as possible with my limited resources and my 2 weeks of leave to get married thrown in there right at the end. Answered all my questions almost immediately. Great customer service and super nice people. 2 thumbs up.

Stop feeding the troll... Flyboy has shown his ignorance... He is either trolling or an idiot... Probably both

Like WX said, its all timing. Some VML's they take half the dudes PCS'ing to MC's or HC's. Sometimes they send every dude to the same slick base with no other options because thats what AFPC needs.
-
Not flying does not have much to do with manning, just overall commitments, which could change tomorrow. The squadron is about to pcs a bunch of dudes out though and not a whole lot of fp's coming in. Could be good or bad for those still here.

Ramstein is now blues Monday on the first Monday of the month between May and October, or something like that.

Gone a lot on random TDY's all over the place and reacting to whatever weird crap is happening in the area at the time. Be ready to be gone a lot with little notice. Most of the TDY's are a few days, some longer. So far no long term deployments. They have been rumored but that's all they have been. And the squadron is technically 120% manned on copilots, but everyone is still busy all the time doing all sorts of random stuff. The 120% is an AFPC number. Overall I would call my experience in the squadron awesome. And your living in Germany.
