Looks like I may be living in Egypt for a bit. Anyone been there (TDY or otherwise)? Any tips/pointers/insults/vicious personal attacks?

There is a LOT of usefull info in the JFTR for TDY and PCS. It is worth reading for familiarity. Just a few examples: You only have to check for Non-A once, one Non-A letter is good for the entire TDY, no matter what billeting says. 24 hour rule. Your boat is HHG, you get paid for the weight of it through a DITY. Your boat is HHG, you get paid for non-temp storage.

Read the JFTR ... It's painful at first, but worth it when some shoe tries to pull a fast one. U1045 is a good section to have printed out for the lodging office, since they seem to screw it up the most. The answer to your question is black-and-white in U1045.B.4 ... quarters are not-available.

The one in Peniscola has an expansive wine list and a cool wine "cellar" you can get a table in. I don't the Destin model has a similar setup.

Tools -> Internet Options -> Content -> Clear SSL State (when all else fails, that can sometimes be better than a Viper Reset).

Hey ... they opened up the thread to non-checkrides .... just adding a data point. I hooked for pulling through on a 70degree nose-low recovery in tweets .... (rather than rolling wings level, then pulling).

I still say AMRAMM (a or b with big fins). The may appear bigger from the front, but I think that's perspective. The "wave guide" only goes up to just in front of the front fins ... like an AMRAAM. An AIM-7 waveguide goes damn near to the seeker. Look closely at the art, there is a stripe in front of the "waveguide" ... but that ain't an AIM-7. AMRAAM: AIM-7:

If the Fuge isn't going to crush your world ... then volunteer to go first. Get it done and overwith and then split. Drive back to El Paso, get a hotel there near the airport. Cab it into Juarez and enjoy a lovely evening of cultural enlightenment. Just don't try to walk out of Juarez ... it's a bad idea ... trust me.
