  1. Good.
  2. First of all, when did the Osprey come into serious consideration as a SAR platform? Last I heard, it was setting fires to the grass when it landed because of it's volcanic death engine downwash. False? Either way, he replaced sikorsky's candidate with another boeing product...weird. Secondly, the above statement seems very general and overly simplified. I'm guessing that this guy either works for Boeing... or as a child he really enjoyed debating the finer points of who would win in a fight between Batman and Godzilla.
  3. Can somebody with some knowledge on the subject explain what new capabilities the mike model brings to the fight? I know the cockpit is glass which is sweet, but a lot of the complaints I've heard about the 60 as a rescue bird dealt with problems like power available, max gross, ceiling limitations and cabin space. Does buying Ms solve any if this? I've heard they have a modified rotor system. How about engines? Would it be possible to cut some of the weight added by the older electronics on the G? Personally I'm excited to read this announcement because I love the 60, but as a new guy starting out in rescue, I'd like to hear some thoughts from some of the more experienced guys. Thx.
  4. Solid gold advice from Yerfer. I was fully expecting to see the standard "How the F*ck do you get a D in Aerospank class" Nothing is ever quite as bad as it seems at first. Even if there aren't any immediate solutions to get you back into ROTC, like he said, there are many other good options which will open up to you once you get your degree. Take this as a learning experience, no sleep before finals (or aircraft sorties) is not a good habit to be getting into. I'm guessing there is a way to get you reinstated. Even if they are required by regs to drop you for a semester or so. Good luck.
  5. Rucker class 10-02 (3 wolf moon class) 1x HH-60G Nellis 1x HH-60G Moody 1x HH-60G Kadena 1x UH-1N Andrews 1x UH-1N Malmstrom Congrats
  6. "McLear noted that the left-hand margin of past veto messages has spelled out words such as "poet" and "soap." Oh, in that case it has to be a coincidence... NO way this was an accident, and to be honest, I'm actually really impressed with the word engineering that went into making it fit neatly in the margins and also still make sense.
  7. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Fassbender Ok. I know it's not him. But how many 32 year old Michael Fassbenders can there really be? "One year after his success at the Cannes Film Festival with Hunger, he appeared in two films. First was Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds, in which he played the British officer Lieutenant Archie Hicox."

  9. What the f*ck does that even mean?
  10. What's wrong with Courtney? I'd definitely still hit it. Then: Now:
  11. eughhh....
  12. Don't quit. Any girl who wouldn't want to be married to an incredibly deadly, f*cking radical air force pilot doesn't deserve one anyway... Nut up or shutup...a wise man once said that.
  13. Your next deployment... He'll be waiting for you. And he's really f*cking excited about it.
  14. Why are they awesome? Are they more comfortable than a bag?
  15. Wait... You guys WANT to wear the 2 piece army flight uniform thing? All of the army guys here at Rucker bitch endlessly about the fact that they had their bags taken away. Am I missing something?
  16. Since you listed the HH-1H as an option for a student drop, I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you were thinking of the UH-1N, which is what they are flying up at DC, and space command. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UH-1N_Twin_Huey Also, to elaborate on your TH-1 integration question. The way it is currently happening is that studs are starting off in the UH-1 and flying it throughout contact and some even take it into remote ops (landing in farmers fields and forest clearings). Then there is a TH-1 transition period prior to beginning instruments. The TH is almost exclusively flown now in the day and night tac phases, although there have been some exceptions there due to A/C availability issues.
  17. The real question is why all of you are wasting time posting on an internet forum when you know damn well that you should be practicing the words to the song of praise... Dear Leader would not approve...
  18. BAH! It's the boubonic gay...the antidote, quickly!
  19. Just in case... https://www.southparkstudios.com/clips/224099
  20. Jokingly? No.
  21. What puzzles me about the whole thing is that if you were to go to a "joint" or even a single service solution to this situation, why on earth would that NOT include the Air Force as the spearhead? As far as I know no other service is nearly as focused on the personnel recovery mission or have nearly as many assets devoted specifically to it (60's, Pararescuemen, HC-130)
  22. Is there any reason that AF rescue doesn't just pick up the Mike model 60? The army's got a few of them here at Mother Rucker and they look pretty sweet.
  23. Juan, Everybody on this thread who took the time to read this nonsense is now dumber for having done so. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. p.s. Choketh thyself
  24. classic...
  25. 2 Tops in Blue is the best illustration I could ever imagine of everything that is wrong with the Air Force. We actually allocate funds for this sort of homo-parade!? I mean SERIOUSLY!?! YGBFSM. Edit to add this Wikipedia excerpt: "Tops In Blue is a touring performance ensemble made up of active duty members of the United States Air Force. However, unlike members of the various Air Force band units, members of Tops In Blue have "regular" Air Force jobs when not on tour. They can be Security Forces members, medics, aircraft mechanics, office workers, cooks, drivers, or have any other job that the Air Force offers." Anybody else notice a failure to mention a fairly visible career field that the Air Force offers? I hope no flyers do this shit.
