  1. Is this observation based on your vast f*****g experience flying other planes? Troll.
  2. When I was going through Little Rock I had a sim with a faip who was going to gunships.
  3. Maybe we could organize a covert op to pass their Missileers some bad/wrong test answers.
  4. That has been my experience. I have never seen IFR traffic go through a MOA and I have never seen an airway that goes through a MOA. I have also heard countless people that I'm assuming filed point to point vectored around a MOA. I don't know if it's written anywhere or not, but I don't believe IFR traffic can go through one.
  5. I'm not bothering to consult any regs, but I don't think IFR traffic normally transits MOAs. I agree with the intent of your post, but I feel that giving folks on an IFR flight plan(specifically part 91 types) carte blanche to file through a MOA would open a whole new can of worms(way more civilian traffic transiting MOAs than we already have). Just my very inexperienced .02
  6. When I was in your position I googled phone numbers for the base where I wanted to fly. I found some random number at the wing level i.e. finance, FSS, whatever and asked for ANY contact number they had for the flying squadron. I got lucky and happened to get the DO's number. Regardless, whoever answers the phone at the squadron level is damn near guaranteed to know who is in charge of hiring and can either connect you to them or give you their number. Here are some examples similar to where I found these numbers(specific to you): https://www.927arw.afrc.af.mil/questions/topic.asp?id=155 https://www.homestead.afrc.af.mil/shared/media/document/AFD-130806-017.pdf
  7. I'm almost positive I know who you're talking about. Anyone feel free to PM me for his name and contact info if you want it. There can't be too many DPEs in Cabot. I used him to get my civilian L-382 type when I was in PIQ at the rock. I think it took $75 and 30 minutes IIRC.
  8. Reminds me of a friend of mine in my class who logged more time in the barany chair than in the T-6 through the first two blocks of contact. He flies F-22s now.
  9. Yeah, but could the 15 have done it single engine though?
  10. I paid online monthly through some third party site. It came straight out of checking. I had electronic copies of the receipts, but lost them when my laptop shit the bed. I tried to contact them, and all they could give me was the ledger.
  11. Thread bump: Anyone know if finance is currently paying apartment rent if you submit a lost receipt form? I had a voucher get rejected because I didn't submit receipts for my rent. I submitted my lease and a ledger from the apartment front office along with bank statements. I just resubmitted it with the lost/missing receipt form, however the form reads like it is intended for lost hotel receipts. This was for a TDY to LRAFB.
  12. Personally, I love country music.
  13. Damn
  14. POLICE THAT MOOSTACHE!! He would be the cocksucker that did something like this: https://www.yumasun.com/news/former-marine-facing-child-molestation-charges/article_80a9d25c-1132-11e4-ba09-001a4bcf6878.html?mode=jqm
  15. Who gives a ?! As a reserve guy, I thought it was my job to low ball myself on peer reviews and that sort of shit(I always put myself last). By far the biggest tool in my class was a reserve guy that was obsessed with his class ranking(asking people where he was on peer reviews and what they scored on checkrides). That guy was a ing douche and no one could stand him.
  16. 09-01 was still up in my flight room as of about a year ago.
  17. I would pick Magnolia. They're the newest on base. Parts of state look a little dilapidated. Capitol isn't that bad, but having spoken to others who lived there, I think I had an above average experience. If given a do over, I would take capitol again. Living on base was worth it. Also, Capitol is the prettiest neighborhood as far as landscaping and scenery are concerned.
  18. If you're planning to live on base, I would expect to get Capitol. I knew of a few couples w/o children that got Magnolia or State, but they were the exception. The Misses and I spent a year in Capitol and have no complaints for the most part. They aren't the prettiest houses, but they get the job done.
  19. Courtesy of Bloomberg and co. Must be one of those "assault rifle" rounds.
  20. One would think it depends solely on the capabilities of the drone's TCAS(if it even has one). Personally I don't give a shit what it does as long as it doesn't break any of my beers. Disclaimer: Don't know nothin bout no drones

  22. You Tit! I soiled my armor I was so scared!
  23. Given the context of the WTF thread, I'd call that a success. edit: or a failure, I'm not sure. All I know is, I'm not allowed to play this video around my old lady.

  25. You definitely did. I'll pick up and andygator every now and then and drink it as a nightcap. Being from Louisiana I have to show some love for the home team. I'm not a big fan of fruity beer, but I can tolerate Andygator. Abita makes some damn good beers, but they have a tendency to slip some fruity flavors into some of them("cough cough" Purple Haze). Turbodog is my favorite beer period dot. Ironically this post was brought to you by Shiner Bock, can't find Turbodog in CBM.
