I believe his self-immolation in joining the Jan 6 committee demonstrates the opposite—extreme conviction. Perhaps made easier by getting redistrict-ed. But I find myself more impressed by his and Cheny’s efforts to hold Trump accountable as more genuine than the cowards like McCarthy that blow wherever the winds of power take them. Flame away.

I think it’s pretty clear that the core of what he’s doing is because he believes that Trump was bad for, and did real damage to, the country. most of you hate him because he hates trump.

I’m interested to know how the model (the hub-and-spoke model vs point-to-point model) impacts the ability to recover from a system disruption. Has anyone researched this?

I mean, but it is tho, right? You changed the argument to ask about hypothetical child sexual predator which wasn't the original argument. So you are building up a really good argument against something, just not the original argument. I suppose you're just asking for clarification on if all felonies are the same in his view? A better question would have been: Does this guy have the judgment required to operate heavy machinery based on his prior conviction?

I've had 4 assignments, all flying, of 4-5 years each. Non-fighter. These days you hit the VML at 3 years normally. It would be abnormal to stay in one place for 6 years, unless you're in an aircraft with only one or two bases.

Like I said, nobody knows anything. 19th AF's truth will change tomorrow probably. But if I were a T-1 reservist at Any Base, U.S.A., and not retiring in the next 12-24 months I'd be looking for a new job personally.

No more new FAIPs at END. Nobody knows what will happen to T-1 IPs when AMF-S is the main program. XPW will remain. Everyone is getting certified to instruct XPW in the meantime. Some may be required to instruct sims (MSI) as they do now. Some may be redbird instructors. Some may be rerouted to T-6s. If these decisions have been made they haven't been communicated to the squadron level. T-1 PIT is shutting down by this summer.

I don't think the AF feels that it needs pilots for 20 years in order to get a return on the investment. Sure, they want some to stay to be Sq/CCs, Wg/CCs, etc., but generally I think that they're not too concerned about the 10 year attrition rate.
