  1. Or you could decline training when you return and finish out your UPT commitment as the Snacko.
  2. So I'm curious now...If I get orders back to my original airframe, which would incur a 3 year ADSC, but I am within 3 years of retirement, can I opt out and set a retirement date 3 years in the future? This is basically how the PCS ADSC works with the 2 year sanctuary period before retirement, no?
  3. There was no ADSC for C-208 training.
  4. Lame. I got a nice handwritten card from my Wg/CC when I pinned on Capt even though I didn't do anything but survive for four years. A personal touch goes a long way. That's what she said?
  5. Because that's standard PM duties across all crew (civil and military) aircraft I'm aware of.
  6. A SAC warrior at heart, that's all. NBD.
  7. I see. I think I misunderstood the post. I thought he was saying no flyers should be eligible for 365s. It would make sense to make a Fly-only track guy non-eligible for 365s.
  8. So no flyers downrange on 365? Do you realize the impossibility of what you're asking?
  9. Everyone rants about wanting a fly only track then complains when AMC gives them a fly only track.
  10. The ones I've seen are sent to WIC or eventually try to get into special programs like the U-2 or U-28. I've even known a guy to go to the CV-22. Generally more emphasis is placed on proficiency and systems knowledge in the -135. But I've been out of it for a while now.
  11. One of my class DGs was a Nebraska Guard KC-135 guy. The rest of us who got tankers were solid middle third. I got exactly what I wanted out of UPT and spent half my career flying the -135. When I was a young copilot the tactics consisted of spiral up, spiral down (dumb tactics) and eventually just morphed into “just fly wings level and brace for impact.” Why do I need to spend any seconds of my life studying the effective range of an SA-69 if there is literally nothing I can do about it? id just as soon trust that all the pilots in my squadron can fly to the CP on time and give an efficient offload.
  12. What is this "vault" you speak of? Tanker clowns spend time in the vault, but it's not about learning how to stay out of a WEZ.
  13. That’s been tanker standard for decades. If we wanted to be tactical we all would have done better in UPT.
  14. I hate you. 😂😫
  15. What is RAP?
  16. Where are your bases and may I count them?
  17. Lots of 365s have a minimum time on station note but I’ve never heard anything specifically related to returning from a non-remote OCONUS tour.
  18. Which is kinda what everyone wanted, right?
  19. When I did it the air advisor and C-208 training days didn’t count toward the 365. It sounds like this is a tasking that your Wing was hit with and the CC tagged you. If that’s the case there’s no opt-out. You just file for separation and establish a date that is before the return date of the deployment. Thats my guess.
  20. Doesn't the notification letter have a place that states decline?
  21. At least all of my flights have ended with me sleeping in either my own bed or a hotel. I’ve never stayed at Hilton that I wasn’t free to leave the next day. But yeah, he does seem to think we’re overpaid as it is.
  22. Capt Roger Victor? Is that you? link for context:
  23. It also requires an in-person “interview” and a fingerprinting.
  24. They're the ones that try to load HAVE-QUICK II for you at red flag....
