I was talking about their name in regards to quality. I do not buy into the media hysteria behind it. I thought you were joking about their appearance because I did not think it mattered. It is a gun, not an accessory.

Having never fired another rifle I have nothing to compare it to, but I read some reviews about the HP carbines and they seem well liked. There is a lot of dissatisfaction with the pistols which probably gives Hi-Point a bad name. The only people that trash talk the carbines are gun snobs used to firing something four times the price. They are the least expensive carbine we can rely on to shoot, so it seems perfect for us broke college students. Obviously you can afford something better and should probably overlook them. As far as safety issues, I have read more about Glocks exploding than I have a HP carbine having catastrophic failure.

So I went to a range and got to fire off some guns. It was pretty freaking sweet. I fired a 9mm Hi-Point carbine (my favorite to shoot), Smith and Wesson Sigma SW40VE, Ruger Mark III Target Rimfire, 1911 Rail Gun, and an old revolver that I cannot remember the name of. The revolver sucked, I did not enjoy shooting that. I did pretty well though, my groupings were tight and accurate. I shot the hell out of a zombie pizza boy. I think if I were to buy a handgun after today, it would be the Sigma followed closely by the 1911. Both of those felt really nice.

Thanks. It says it goes back ten years or to when I was 18, whichever is shorter. Well, there is not much separation between me and 18, so will they only run a background check for the last year or so? That makes it a lot easier if that is the case. I do not know if I have any negative information, other than I was born in a dirty commie country. Nothing bad could possibly happen. I was adopted, so I am a naturalized citizen. Everything is pretty normal, but if they want to go back ten years, I am not sure how to get them contact info for people that knew me there.

I should have lived in the US for ten years by the time I apply, but will they want to go further back since I was not born here? I am worried that it is going to be extremely difficult for me to track down a lot of my information and it will take me a long time to get any if it is available. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Fortunately the Skins will be the frontrunner in the "Suck For Luck" campaign though. It is going to be interesting to see how teams adjust their defense for Vick this season. I am going to stick with Rivers though- he is my go-to fantasy QB.

I think the Jets are competitive for the Wild Card, but I do not think they will contend for the division. Regardless of how that divisional game in the playoffs went last year, the Pats are still the best team in the AFC. The Jets get no pressure from their defensive line, they seem to lose their top performing players to injuries each season (Burress is already injured), and they usually struggle against the Pats. I liked that they dropped Braylon Edwards (no pun intended) and picked up Derrick Mason. That should give Sanchez some more talent to throw to. As for the Dolphins and the Bills. Puh-lease. We seem to struggle against the Dolphins for some reason- they are our white whale, but the Pats have done a good job of putting them away the past two seasons. The Reggie Bush signing was great for them, but they do not have the talent on defense anymore nor do they really have a QB to depend on. Henne has done alright in the preseason, but "alright" for Henne means "absolute shit" compared to the other QBs in the AFCE. Are you an Eagles fan or do you just hope to capitalize on Vick's ability to run up points?
