Get over yourself. Once again Internet BS. He came in saying why it was important to go along with all the crap that is killing the AF. I explained why those reasons weren't good enough. If all you saw was me trying to say how tough I am on the Internet, then go back and read it again. It's been said on here before, but I'll say it again. Most of you guys simply want to complain about the AF and wouldn't dare stepping out of line. My bad, I thought I was talking with some people who were like-minded about ACSC. If you secretly love it, that's cool. Everyone talks a big game, but when push comes to shove, you guys are right there next to the people you call shoeclerks participating wholeheartedly in the crap that is making our lives miserable. I'm already a select, and I already got my push. I am literally doing this to keep my boss off my back. I hate playing the game, and I'm sorry, but "just playing the game makes the game continue. I didn't come in here to debate the merits of a program that everyone thinks is stupid, wasteful, and taking up what little free time we have. I'll refrain from offending everyone in my ice breakers, but I won't be some pandering retard. This isn't cooperate to graduate UPT. You should read the crap, and awful English these people are using. You can tell there are a few others min-running the course too, and I give them rave reviews and feedback. I made up some ridiculous motto for space command joking around, and now the other tools and the instructor are convinced it should be the real motto... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

https://youtu.be/2SRizeR4MmU On the fence about watching it because the book is so amazing, but it looks pretty good anyway. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Well, you're allowed to bomb once right? I think I'm going to see just how little effort I can get away with. Some of the forum discussions are way, way too in depth for this garbage. One dude made a bibliography for a discussion answer... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Ugh, I'm doing one of the applied courses for ACSC right now. It is covering crap I read over two months ago. Am I really required to retain all that garbage for two months in order to put it into BS forum responses and a typed paper? I'm having to re-scan everything because that stuff was brain dumped long, long ago. You should see the amount of people that are "excited" about the course and its "amazing learning opportunities". Are they just trying to kiss up to the online instructor, or are they really excited? I can't wait to be done with this noise... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

While generally a pretty sweet homage to the tanker and the important mission it accomplishes, I've never worked with one. Cheers to the crew though! I have a lot of good friends in the tanker community, and it sucks to lose your guys in any way. Thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends.

California ANG "toxic culture"?
slackline replied to HFF's topic in Air National Guard / Air Force Reserves
I personally know most of the guys in the 129th, and I say BS. Great group of people, unless they have just somehow managed to hide it all. -
No idea on statistics, but for me it's all about timing, location and luck. Zero AAD (even told my boss I won't do a master's unless sent by AF), exec exp, and no flt cc, and somehow they fell asleep at the board and selected me for school last year. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Weird Japanese trials riding. Edit for stupidity. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I respect that they're crazy enough to do some jacked up things, and cause a lot of pain and misery for the world. I don't however believe that they have any real capabilities other than the ability to throw their people to the slaughter in order to stave off their ultimate defeat. That, will ultimately get our people killed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Really? Large, okay. Well trained and well equipped? I highly doubt that. Country full of crazies willing to attack with whatever crap they can get their hands on? Ok, I'll agree with you there. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

You're right. He did say that in between every other sentence that was devoted to how awesome he is... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I'll save you the trouble on that one. Don't care how bad A he is. His book is full of, "I'm awesome" talk that make you never care to read another book about a single SOF guy again, unless it's written about a team, from a more realistic perspective. Just my $.02. I ride a DR-650 when I'm not on my RK. Honestly, my DR is way more fun, and I ride it with pretty knobby tires. I love the noise from them, and I still get ~50 mpg. I reworked my suspension on it, so I can comfortably do 80 mph on the freeway, but still rock the offload like a mx'er. If I had to choose one bike, DR-650 would be it. Not as fancy as a KTM, but 1000x more reliable. Things a tank! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Exactly! Maybe things have changed, but why don't you look into the amount of missions they are doing. 8 or 9 to 1, should mean that Army is doing 8 or 9 times the missions. Truth is, it's not even close to that. For a tiny footprint, they are shouldering an awfully big portion of the load. Granted it is less now with Dustoff's new birds with FLIR, etc, but crappy weather, hot LZ meant USAF got sent vs USA. This isn't to start a pissing match, they're just the facts. Plus, flying around at no lower than 200' like the Army does just isn't as exciting.

Big fat "2" on that one! ETA that IDMT's are for deployed members, not "advice" for the J's. there's a sizable difference in training that leaves the IDMT's behind a bit. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Sorry man, but in 7 trips to OEF and one to OIF, I never once had a King there in any way, shape, or form. Your role has only very recently, in OEF terms, been put into play. You actually see the helos in this show, and they're barely mentioned, so the fact that anyone could get butt hurt over not showing the Kings is a little silly. Again, let me point out again, this show is about the J's, not Jolly/Pedro, or Kings. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

This is Hollywood pure and simple. Rarely is there a PJ hanging out in the TOC just to wait on a mission. If they're in there, they're BS'ing. CRO's maybe. There are some retired crew members that are bugged with how the show was filmed because its heavy "PJ's are the only ones on these missions" emphasis, but the whole point of the show is to highlight the J's not us. I'm cool with it because the show highlights Rescue. Besides, even if it is some Hollywood, the J's are still pretty bad A. ETA: oh yeah, they never tell us where we're going and how we're going in. Once again it is Hollywood, but 99% of the people won't know the difference. Heck, when I was stationed at Kadena we used to get people that asked us "Are you with that Army helo unit on the other side of the base?" And that was active duty AF, sometimes pilots both of the tanker and fast mover types. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I have been lucky for the most part and had mostly CC's of this dying breed. I've also had CC's with tons of hours that sucked. All I'm saying is that I have yet to see the "one" indicator that says this guy is gonna be an amazing CC. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Please continue. I'd love to know how or why it is I have no clue. I simply pointed out that I'm definitely not a nav, and I'm experienced. I normally don't agree with anything nsplayr says, but on this one instance I failed to see how his being a nav means anything. As I said, time in the jet can be an indicator of potential leadership, but it isn't the only thing. So please, give us some more of your obvious wisdom... Go troll elsewhere. Talk about impressed. I love it when tools talk tough on the Internet. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Ok, I'll bite, I'm not a nav, I'm an experienced IP with 8 combat deployments in Rescue, and I agree. Lots of hours doesn't a make a dude a great leader. It has major potential to help, but it ain't like some kind of a golden ticket. The original post seems more to me like a guy who is pissed because he got screwed over, so now he paints with a broad brush. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

The President's main defense is by civilian govt employees/agents, not the military. Just because we step in occasionally to do things outside our main area we're not the first line of defense. While we are still civilians, we fall in a different group as the military. While extreme and exaggerated to make a point, I think his argument about SS, FBI, etc is valid.
