More then a 1.0 is asking a lot. What kinda of seat is in the T-X? Is the ejection handle the same as the -c model seats? Will I have to thread my junk through a partially displaced handle to use a piddle pack without ejecting myself? These are the questions of our times.

This. Just finished a book about the 6-day war, Israel armed up their Fouga Magister training jets and had retirees and airline pilots in flying 'em blowing up arab tanks. Talk about being war fighters, we should* in a perfect world be able to arm up everything, not just as a "Hey you Canada, don't even think about it" but also I think it could aid in retention/morale. Sucks as an 11F that you're at UPT/IFF and not in the CAF, but once or twice a month we'll arm you up and send you to the range with your bros, screw NDBS and FEDS, drop some bombs, shoot some rockets, fire a gun pod, maybe have a stud sandbag, fire them up too. Refocus UPT on the job of killing people and breaking their shit. And also if the mounties press south, we have more armed stuff to kill their moose IEDs or whatever. Pipe dream over.

Assuming that our new reality is that we aren't going to get 11Fs more into UPT, and 11Ms can pass PIT, and teach the standard syllabus (devoid of comment on experience, culture, etc, and they can not try and poison the yoots by talking about per diem and breaking in Rota), if this is the way of the future, what about adding a few weeks to IFF to increase the exposure there? Now that I've typed that I'm pretty sure that takes us right back to UPT, not SUPT. But oh well.

Raguso and Fire Marshal Zanetis died in an American military helicopter crash in Iraq on Thursday, March 15. Lt. Raguso is a 13-year veteran of the Department; Fire Marshal Zanetis is a 10-year veteran. “Today, we mourn the deaths of FDNY Lieutenant Christopher J. Raguso and FDNY Fire Marshal Christopher T. “Tripp” Zanetis, who were killed in an American military helicopter crash in Iraq on Thursday, March 15,” said Mayor Bill de Blasio. “They are truly two of New York City’s bravest – running into danger to protect and defend others, both in New York City and in combat overseas. Raguso and Fire Marshal Zanetis are the 1,148th and 1,149th members of the Department to make the Supreme Sacrifice in the line-of-duty. The last member of the Department to die in the line of duty was Firefighter William N. Tolley of Ladder Company 135, who died on April 20th, 2017. The last member of the Department to make the Supreme Sacrifice while in active military service was Firefighter Christian P. Engledrum, who was killed in action on November 29, 2004 in Iraq. Currently, 62 FDNY personnel are on extended military orders in the branches of the United States Armed Forces, serving around the world. There are more than 1400 FDNY members who are military reservists or veterans."
