    They can send you ADSC or not. Depends on how badly they want you to go. If you want to stay together then you will likely have to pay the bill. Sorry man. I was someone who never got a join spouse offer from my functional even though my wife’s functional was bending over backwards to make anything happen. She separated because I had an ADSC.

    I know lots of dudes who bailed to the airlines rather than PCS at 17-18 years. Everyone has a different level of acceptable pain.

    Tweet sims when I was there. They were replaced with nice T-6 sims circa 2004.

    They’re not even really trying to throw more money. $35k/yr barely brings the bonus in line with inflation.

    Don’t get me wrong. We should leverage tech/upgrades where it makes sense and aids training. But realize a lot of the timeline of UPT is based on 60+ year old tech and whatnot.

    Those shitty sims are way better than the Tweet sims we had when I went through UPT. The video processor was shared between the sims and you only got video for a few seconds of takeoff and landing.

    The clearance doesn’t give you PreCheck. The federal background investigation does. Otherwise you just pay the $100/5 year fee to get it...to pay for the background check.

    Honestly...they never should have been AFIs in the first place. Is it a happy to glad? Yes. But they really are more “how to” than “rules.” At least in AMC where the sups are longer than the HAF AFI.

    34% increase? That’s old news. The current number is from 1200->2000 per year just to keep up with people leaving. And the UPT bases can’t even meet the 1200 existing number let alone the previous 1400 number that was thrown around last year.

    IP upgrade is a new qual so your ADSC extends past UPT commitment. IP requal does not extend your commitment and I have successfully applied 1b in the past.

    Last I saw they turned that off. The Gulfstream is still slated to replace the EC-130 though.

    Only problem is if they booked contract lodging. You refuse it...and you’re limited in reimbursement.
