  1. Absolutely nothing wrong with reserving the whole block of rooms with your card. Each member of the crew just gives their card at check in time. It’s called being a ing AC...man the us and take care of your crew. You can even pay for all travelers on one GTC if it comes down to it as an AC. There’s a finance form to claim airline tickets / hotels / expenses for a group in which you’re the “senior traveler.”
  2. It is not in a reg. It is in the LeaveWeb programming.
  3. Only enlisted have to be higher ranking than the member taking leave. Any rank officer can approve any other officer’s leave as long as they are the supervisor or above.
  4. I know a guy who went to the Reserves after being passed over the 2nd time for O-5. He got a PCS move from TX to CA. Don’t know his HOR. That said, a HOR change is super easy.
  5. Allotments are a bad idea unless you can’t manage your finances. The government takes the money out of your paycheck early in the month and pays it at the end. If you set up an auto debit it is your money and not a loan to the government.
  6. Just put it on the ramp.
  7. Someone has to vouch for him though.
  8. There is usually an O-6 “chief exec” then two or so regular exec O-5s and sometimes a peon exec at O-4.
  9. If it doesn’t take you past your UPT commitment, there is not much you can do but accept it.
  10. If it doesn’t take you past your UPT commitment, there is not much you can do but accept it.
  11. I’ve been out of the airplane a few years for staff but when I left we were still using a crappy Excel “ETOLD” program that had some limitations. It definitely doesn’t work in all situations, is on a Windows laptop, and is not intuitive/easy to use. The good news is there is an FE to make it work or do it manually.
  12. Oops. Reading fail.
  13. Congrats! Can you make a good KC-10 one?
  14. For all those times the external hard points were used on the B-1 (excluding the pod)?
  15. If you lose your CJO to any airline because of an involuntary mob...that airline is about to be paying your lawyers a f u c k ton of money.
  16. If they are stopping people leaving base it is probably due to an alarm somewhere like the pharmacy or other area of concern.
  17. He says he is a UPT Sq DO. I’m too lazy to search the global.
  18. It was removed by the *new* DSET addin that will crash Outlook even more often and let less possible PII through. Any string of 10 numbers is assumed to be a SSN and will require encryption to send. it. Hit encrypt on all emails!
  19. Execs in all squadrons used to be non-flyers. There was a 97E and then the 1-2 “flying execs” that were really only there to make sure the 97E didn’t screw up the OPRs. Then the exec “need” just kept growing and growing after they got rid of the 97Es.
  20. Probably true since all of us staff pukes fly rarely or not at all...and skew the numbers. Same for the penguins on bases like execs and whatnot.
  21. You can get a DFC for teaching UPT if the situation is right. Just ask Johnny Weida.
  22. There is no time limit I am aware of for the depth perception test. Also, it is never far left or far right...so now you’re down to a 1 in 3 instead of 1 in 5. Relax. Take your time.
  23. I’ve read the signed waiver. It is pretty clean cut what AETC wants to do and involves periodic re-evaluation of the situation.
  24. The Ghost of Curtis LeMay.
