    For my year group the first year eligible was offered at $25k/5 years and if you didn't take it that year you could later sign up for $15/3 years. I know people who didn't take the initial offer and took the $45k after getting a school slot. I'll happily keep my $125k. All number before taxes.

    Unless things have changed, the "plan" is for the current purchase of KC-46, an as yet unannounced KC-Y competition to replace the rest of the KC-135s, and the KC-Z program even farther in the future to replace the KC-10. Although RUMINT has it that as an operational KC-46 comes online a KC-10 will go to the boneyard. So, who knows?

    LHD-3 did a pretty bang up job kicking off Libya and rescuing a downed crewmember. As I recall, SEAD didn't happen until day 3, and there were still viable SAM and aircraft threats for months.

    1:1 is gone 180 days get 180 days "home." 1:2 is 180:360. And so on. Some communities have been playing well with others. And other communities have AFRC dwell times approaching 1:30 when AD is <1:2.

    False. In my experience, I have many more deployments from being a KC-10 bubba than a safety dude. Did I deploy once for a wing safety position? Yep, but it is still only about 20% of my total deployed time. YMMV.
