  1. So, why do we not use MS Security Groups? Then you can add a person to the group that already has folder access, email org account access, and proper SharePoint permissions... Why are we still doing it the old and very hard way? Yes, setting up security groups properly is an as slain, but once they're set up, you can actually share your SharePoint site with other organizations with about three mouse clicks and a few keystrokes.
  2. The matrix is as of "end of March." So, I would say they still have approvals to send that are awaiting processing and building orders.

  4. Horizon includes Reach and Mobility. If you get Reach, you will crossflow into another AMC airframe. TDY rates will be whatever your new airframe's rates are. If you get Mobility, you will wind up in a CRW and be ground TDY a lot with very little flying (basically just enough to limp your gate months along).
  5. We did that already...and went back to a 3-year cycle. Nothing new under the sun.
  6. I heard 11F will get 50K/yr tax free for 10 years. 11M will have to pay 25K a year to get an ADSC.
  7. Apparently you missed the C-17 IP last week who had 5 years of his ADSC waived. The waiver authority is "up to 6 years off of UPT ADSC."
  8. The AF doesn't consider "C-21 IP" a real IP for some reason. That said, every C-21 IP I know (either UPT->C-21->MWS or UPT->MWS->C-21->return) made MWS IP very quick due to their prior instructor experience. I know several people who were only FP qual'd when they were selected for O-4 (prior-Navs).

  10. It was, and still probably is, posted on the official Navy Facebook page.
  11. Let me rephrase it for you in small words: if you have to ask if you can VSP instead of just rolling the bones, then you don't want to VAP bad enough. If you apply and aren't eligible, they'll deny it. If you're eligible, you may have a chance.
  12. SOS != IDE or SDE. IDE and SDE selects are prohibited from enrolling in correspondence. In Oct, Captains will be prohibited from enrolling in SOS until after 7 years TAFCS.
  13. So first hand information from the CSAF and other generals isn't good enough for your wing leadership? Cool. The official guidance had been out for months in the form of a verbal order from CSAF.
  14. Gravedigger speaks truth. Stop doing it.
  15. 1. K11M3K 2. 2007 3. C-17/unknown 4. Yes, 5 years waived.
  16. Word we got was up to 550 pilots would be approved. Up to 6 years of UPT ADSC waived, inclusive of other ADSCs.
  17. 11M C-17 type here got his approval email for VSP a few hours ago today. No further details, but directly confirmed...not rumor.
  18. No change for 11/12X except 1999 12B and 12R ineligible; all 1986 eligible.
  19. How does one misspell 'stract?'
  20. Does anyone know why we continue to deal with proprietary shit (xfdl) when we have the same capability in PDF? Especially since PDF works much better with SharePoint...
  21. Tankers up, T-tails down. NKAWTM! Props to Ve-atch and that other guy (Brandon)!
  22. Ladies and gents, this is 100% how to be a SNAP. Although by his old fart insistence on calling a forum a blog, he is some sort of sensitive old ass pilot. New term: SOAP.
  23. One reason to keep an unlocked phone is to buy cheap ass SIM cards for each country you visit. You can get a pay as you go SIM from each country and never pay a roaming fee. It is how us old dudes did it with our $25 candy-bar Nokia phones for years. Only now you can buy data too if you have an unlocked iPhone or android.
  24. I think the first problem is that DV codes start with O-6.
