It's not just ACC, that thought experiment is spreading to AFGSC as well. I think of it as a lead-turn to the mass exodus when there will be no one left to man the DO/ADO shops but Captains & Majors. However, that's giving a lot of credit where little is due.

I think all of you are forgetting a pretty major fact when measuring the intrinsic value of THE USAFA. A 2Lt fresh from the zoo already has the jaded outlook & ingrained saltiness of a senior captain, but with the same ADSC as his peers. You just can't put a price tag on that kind of training.

The Academy, much like most of the other "elite" programs in the Air Force (UPT, ENJPPT, everyone has a WIC, etc...), has been dumbed down to the point that its products are not significantly higher quality than any other institution. The problem arises when an institution that is supposed to be a crucible for molding a better officer loses its focus & it's teeth. After that, it ends up just being hard for no damn reason (STS)

You can tell it's British, because if any recruits suffered "pelvic injuries" here, you can bet it'd be a SARC issue & not a marching issue.
