I wouldn't be surprised. We had a mentally ill guy end up on top of a construction crane several years ago in Atlanta. The geniuses in the police department decided the proper way to handle this was to shine spotlights at him and surround the scene with several cars with lights and sirens going while the cloud of news helicopters hovered nearby so they could get a better view. That ended about as well as you would expect. I wonder how much we affect these events by covering them on the news.

The problem is that TVs everywhere (waiting rooms, airports, etc) tend to be tuned to the news since it safe for work/children. And dudes splattering their brains all over the side of the highway is a definitely not PG. That said, at least dude spared taxpayers spared the expense of a trial.

Abolishing Blues Monday wouldn't interfere with his busy schedule. Typing and sending that email would take all of 20 seconds. Symbols matter.
