  1. Mountain, just saw that but correct me if I'm wrong (don't have the psdm in front of me) but I didn't think that IDE/sde like hers was waiverable?
  2. Judging from the AF retirements 2014 Facebook page there's some movement on the enlisted TERA process. About 5 people have posted that they have either a RNLTD of 1 Aug or a Sep date of 31 July. Edit: it appears they are approving 2X's today, three 3X's on Saturday...at this rate all the officers should get notified of approval/disapproval sometime in mid-October.
  3. After 15.5 years in the Air Force, my reservoirs of hope and optimism are completely drained but I don't think AFPC would be calculating retirement pay on a whim. Huge knock on wood!
  4. Just logged in after getting back from leave. My CDB has a 1405 date of 29 Jun 1998. Does this roughly jive with what others TERA dudes are seeing?
  5. Add units who don't know if they are keeping/losing bodies, TMO, FSS, Tap facilitators, families and schools. Oh and a few divorce lawyers salivating at the spouses who have been told "no doubt we'll have a answer this week."
  6. So it's 1610 at AFPC, I suppose it's safe to assume we are going into another weekend without a shred of real information about what's going on. I suppose rumor and innuendo will have to sustain us through the next 60 hours. Edit: really don't want to be court martialed for a dumb message board post
  7. Nude dancing in the bar may encourage them to show you the door, at this point I'd do anything short of beastialitiy to get my ticket out. In all seriousness did you get a coresponding update in mypers? I'm still at FM-Valiation Complete as of 12 March
  8. Congrats man...good to see some movement on this finally.
  9. Nah...all my brain can is think "click mypers...click baseops...lie on an EPR...repeat"
  10. Sorry for the ignorance but what's the CBD?
  11. LOL...if you would have told me 60+ days ago when I applied for a voluntary program that was in both my best interest and the best interest of the Air Force (according to them...at the time) that I'd be sitting here with no answer as to what my future holds, I would have said you were crazy. Tease on big blue.
  12. You have a sep date of 31 jul on your surf?
  13. I wonder how many millions of dollars in man hours has been wasted by the way this program has been rolled out. I know at least 10 O-4s (myself included) making 100k+ a year who have done exactly what you mentioned above for more than six weeks now.
  14. Sorry should have clarified...I was FM Validation complete on the 5th...now an update today with no explanation. I saw on the retirements facebook page that for the 19 year guys the mypsers updates essentially stopped and the approved notifications came thru the local FSS. I'm on leave for the next week and at least for the next few days can't get to email. yeah...tried but can only get to the limited portal with a login/password. Hoping to glean some information on what has happened to everyone else. In other words read the GD tea leaves because AFPC method at communicating with us has been for absolute shit.
  15. my status was updated today, again with no explantion as to what was done to the application. Anyone get any news?
  16. On the retirements Facebook page it looks like the 19+ years TERA crowd really hit pay dirt today, both officer and enlisted. The notifications seem to be coming from FSS, not mypers. Anothet indication was having a retirement date of 31 jul 14 loaded on the surf. My fingers are still crossed
  17. Yeah id gotten the unofficial word that AFPC ducked this up back in jan, it's nice to see it in black and white. I know there's a few others in serious limbo with assignments vs TERA so figured they should check. What's becoming clear is that how "correctly" your package (sts) was handled at AFPC greatly depends on which Gs-7 technician your application was assigned to.
  18. If you're one of the selectively continued guys who was denied eligibility, check your mypers page. I just got official word from AFPC that I am in fact eligible and they are processing my application.
  19. I actually think thats standard for all separation packages. How that is legal or ethical to deny a vet disability payments they have earned, I have no idea.
  20. Anyone have the email they can post? This is absolutely unbelievable.
  21. Ummmm, deaddebate, are they going to MEB me for uncontrollable vomiting?
  22. My incidents page was finally updated today but now it says "//??// retirement request" with no specifics about what was actually updated. Anyone else have anything change today?
  23. Yeah me too...god damn it. In other news this came out FSS: Important guidance regarding TERA (as I'm reading this, if you're twice passed over don't expect to be contined but you will be allowed to apply for retirement): As outlined in the FY14 Force Management program, the Secretary of the Air Force has authorized Temporary Early Retirement Authority, or TERA, to those members eligible to apply. As the CY14 Promotion Board schedule begins, TERA will be available as a part of post-board actions. If a member is a two-time non-select for promotion, is not offered selective continuation, and is TERA-eligible, they will be given the opportunity to apply for TERA after the public release of the promotion listing. Specific instructions will be included in their non-select letter. The Retirement Date associated with this targeted TERA window will be the mandatory DOS established by the board (1st day of the 7th month following approval of results by USD P&R).
  24. For the TERA dudes... We're well past the 30 days AFPC said it would take to get an answer (much less the two weeks they said it would take to process the first batches). I'm out on the road so wondering if anyone has called to get an update?
  25. Hint for the rotator out of the Died: If you're on a 747 demand they seat you in row 30 or lower. That's business and first class. Except for DVs they shoved all the redeployers in back so civilians, kids and space-a filled in the nice seats at subsequent stops while we (including a couple guys on crutches) all were riding the cattle cart. The stewardesses were sympathetic but said once AMC have them the manifest they couldn't change seats around.
