A defining photo of this administration. And they haven’t even been in power a year.
-
What an absolute travesty.
-
It will be recognized. Knowing that the DoD requirement was coming I went ahead and submitted my JJ vaccine card info on myPers last week and now show as green on the COVID vax in myIMR.
-
Trump, Climate change, Covid, Systemic racism. Surprised we haven’t seen articles on all 4 being the cause of the problems in Afghanistan.
-
Do they actually think people are that stupid to not see through their absolute bull shit?

https://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news/video/military-doesn-t-have-capability-to-rescue-americans-who-cannot-get-to-kabul-airport-118991941602 “We don’t have the capability to go out and collect up large numbers of people” - Sec Def We are definitely no longer the nation that won World War II, accomplished the Berlin Airlift, and put men on the moon. We can’t even get everyone successfully home from a conflict we lost. We still have individuals in this country that are capable of those feats, but not a single one of them resides in our leadership class anymore.

It's hilarious that he has gone to great lengths to position himself as an anti Trump Republican, yet he is acting EXACTLY like Trump, right down to the moronic Twitter posts. I'm not sure who on this guys staff is telling him this is the right approach. I guess more likely is he's not listening to anyone.

I realize there are some Bush era neocon types that are still making the rounds on the news saying we should be staying in Afghanistan. But it was puzzling to me that the majority of the focus of the President's speech was on reinforcing why we should leave Afghanistan, and not on the shit show that developed over the weekend and the obvious fact that there was zero plan in place should the Afghan govt/military collapse overnight; something anyone with half a brain knew was a highly likely outcome.

Just a mind blowing amount of money. A guy I know was sharing his thoughts on Facebook and included a picture from Bagram where he checking out a Harley dealer that had been set up, complete with actual motorcycles you could look at. What a weird fucking war.
-
This. I looked at his Twitter page and he has zero posts on things like the out of control spending, border crisis, etc… Pretty sure his role as an elected official goes beyond hating Trump and only worrying about Jan 6th, but what do I know?

That video is tough to watch. I’m guessing he key’d the mic accidentally in the final panic. It will be interesting to see what the investigation yields. It kind of looked like a mini version of the 747 crash from Afghanistan a few years back. Maybe some sort of load shift, control failure, or leaving a control lock on? I have a hard time believing a pilot of his experience and skill let a perfectly good airplane get into that nose attitude on takeoff.

Malcom Nance, in that video, is the perfect summary of the modern American left. Zero fact based arguments, a complete lack of knowledge on the ideas he is defending, retorts are all based on emotion or are irrelevant to the topic at hand, and his smug elitism is palpable. The fact that he was wildly cheered every time he spoke was very sad. I’ve always liked Bill Maher despite often disagreeing with him. He is someone who has zero tolerance for bullshit and is not afraid to call it out. I wish there were more like him. I think a conversation between him and Shapiro would be a great listen. Nance is an absolute joke.

I suppose you’re right. I always thought that hardcore Trumpers were the best of the best at putting aside all rational and fact based thinking in order to blindly support the man and the cause. But the left these past 6-9 months has put on an absolute masterclass of the same thing.

Man, who knew that three fact based articles about the border situation from Reuters, CNN, and NBC News was all actually just part of some right wing conspiracy theory…

No shit arrests are at a high; an unprecedented amount of illegals are streaming across the border daily, many simply choosing to turn themselves in to the Border Patrol (this counts as apprehension) because they know they'll get a notice to appear with no date and a bus ticket to anywhere they want in the country. Maybe you should ask those government employees dealing with these migrants on a daily basis how they feel about the current administration. ‘U.S. Welcome Patrol’: how some border agents are struggling with Biden’s policy shift | Reuters And yes, this admin has literally done nothing to stop the nearly unprecedented amount of people flooding our border. I'm sorry but Kamala Harris saying "Do not cum", while a funny meme, is not actual policy. And throwing the poor Border Patrol and CBP agents to the wolves and then patting ourselves on the back saying "well at least arrests are up" is as dumb as listing off the body count of dead Viet Cong as evidence that we won the Vietnam War.

US-Mexico border arrests in June are highest in at least a decade - CNNPolitics After Border Patrol release, asylum-seekers test positive for Covid in Brownsville, Texas (nbcnews.com) The border remains an absolute shit show and I honestly think its the hot button item that pisses me off the most about this administration. Open borders and shipping COVID positive illegals around the country meanwhile lecturing the rest of the American public about how we need to keep up the fight against COVID. If you cared so much about COVID maybe you wouldn't let hundreds of thousands of people stream across our border in less than 6 months. It's become quite obvious that the border is being purposely left open as there has literally been zero action to stop this. And it doesn't take much of a stretch of the imagination to realize that its likely a democrat plan to use demographic change to ensure votes. Actually pretty disgusting when you really think about it and its really infuriating that it seems this administration cares more about non-citizens than actual Americans.

The Qatar and Italian high jumper go height for height the entire competition and both end up tied. Instead of electing for a jump off to determine the winner they agree to share the gold. Hands down one of the best Olympic moments of all time and what this is all about. The video their reactions is a must watch. https://youtu.be/GjSCT97GSsA Top High Jumpers decide to SHARE Gold in instant-classic final | Tokyo Olympics | NBC Sports

Someone already made a vipermemedriver.comstreams page 😂
-
@viper_driver_memes bit the dust. Anyone know the back story?
-
The worst part about this is she took a spot from someone who would have killed to have been in the Olympics. Going over there only to quit, especially in the team competition, is poor form.
-
Just to pile on, anyone heard anymore on expanding Reserve or Guard opportunities in this AFSC?

I’m pro getting the Covid vax, but I’m still not convinced these shenanigans end just because we hit the targeted vaccine milestone. LA County is the reason why I believe that. LA County has 70% of residents with at least one dose and 62% fully vaccinated, one of the highest rates in the nation. Cases have risen though in the past few weeks and the county leadership immediately shit its pants and reinstated a mask mandate for both vax’d and unvax’d, even though the overwhelming majority of cases are among the unvaccinated. Also, when asked what they would do if cases kept rising, the county responded that all options were on the table, including lockdown again. So no, I’m not convinced that hitting a vaccine milestone will cause this bullshit to stop. There is always going to be another crisis for the nanny state to step in and try and manage, and we have certainly given lots of power to the nanny state in the last year and a half. I would honestly not even be shocked if places like LA County mandate masks during flu seasons in the future.

Hell of a landing. Its hard to see in that picture, but there are light poles like every 100 feet in the middle of that bridge. Banner tow is something you could not pay me enough to do though.

"Facebook needs to move more quickly to remove violative posts," Psaki said. https://www.businessinsider.com/white-house-facebook-takes-too-long-when-removing-misinformation-2021-7?op=1 How much more clear could it get? The administration is literally demanding that Facebook act as their censorship arm.

Ridiculous comparison. Tobacco restrictions are specifically related to advertising and advertising is regulated by the Federal Trade Commission. Companies can be held liable for knowingly selling an unsafe product. Individual speech on social media is not advertising and does not fall under any government regulatory guidelines. The government in today’s case is involving itself in policing individual speech. That is an overstep and likely violation of the 1st amendment.
