  1. 1....not a SNAP retort. I"m right with you on this one Stiffler.
  2. Looks like he'll need those loadmaster skills while he's packing up all the equipment they're carrying around over the next year.
  3. Just thought I'd add my two cents worth....enjoy.
  4. Retama Ranch was an absolute marvel when I lived there almost 10 years ago. It was brand new then, so don't know if they do furnished. If so, it's a great place with a pool, small gym and minutes from Randolph either via Pat Booker or Loop 1604.
  5. Please feel free to express my regrets to the people of a fourth world nation that have now been pushed into a fifth world nation as a result of mother nature.
  6. Trying to practice cloverleafs solo in the Tweet. Screwing the pooch on it as I come over the top, have no idea where I am and then looking at the Airspeed indicator and realizing I'm about to pass through max allowable airspeed, 275 knots, I rip the throttles to idle and throw out the speed brake. When I finally get the airplane slowed down, speed brake back in and check the radar altimeter, I realize I'm 3,000 BELOW the bottom of the MOA. So, with the throttles at idle and no airspeed, I try to clean out my flightsuit. So, I yank on the stick to get some altitude back under me and get back into the MOA. However, I forgot that I had a little bit of rudder in, was really slow and in flight idle. That's the perfect setup for a spin the the old T-37. And it almost happened at 3,500 AGL. Needless to say, the spin prevent measure was tested that day. And I did border patrol for another 20 minutes, then headed home with an extra 300 lbs of gas in the tanks. Had nightmares about ejecting all night that night.
  7. Dude.....give it a few weeks. Same thing happened last year leading up to the Super Bowl. Most of the beer was diverted into the AOR areas for guys that don't get beer on a regular basis. The flow will start up again after the Super Bowl....until then, drink up as much of the good stuff as you can. Canadian Whiskey sucks......
  8. He's looking to jump on a bandwagon that he wished he had started. The bandwagon btw, now has 24,074 members and counting.
  9. I say make it 11-2SHOE-REMF.
  10. It's even worse when your stationed at Tinker with a bunch of tools like that. Thay really take that shit to the nth degree. We banned such words as crainum and container from the Pilot, Nav and Eng office. Payable with beer if someone with real wings ever muttered the words.
  11. How long has this been going on, and how quick cna the ACLU jump on this and ban it is my question???
  12. WTF is with the Financial manager at 1:56 in this piece of garbage wearing a bag????? :vomit: UFB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. In response to the other misuses of the English language, I'll add these few as well. When talking about your awards/decorations, you didn't get "An Accomidation Medal" unless it was for the time you spent sleeping at the Motel 6 you were in last night. And the killer for me with grammar is talking about "loosing" things. Or use or "loose" leave. It's LOSING, or LOSE you morons. Back to your regularly scheduled thread.
  14. Not there.
  15. Guessing that RVR whould be set in accordance with the airframe that you fly. Check your 11-2-XXX for your regs.
  16. I'll pass on AF Finance. I've had to do their jobs too many times to count. Paying Big Blue $1,500 out of my pocket while I researched my travel voucher problems that they caused. Long story short was that after argunig for 2 more months, I get my $5,000+ back to me. Their excuse for the mixup is that they thought I PCS'd to my base that I was TDY enroute at. Kind of hard to screw that one up since that's the reason for the orders to be cut and states so in plain language on top of them. That and trying to get Hostile Fire pay turned off for 4 months after I came home from a tour. AF Finance $uck$.
  17. Only if that flight occurs during the hours of darkness or during periods of reduced visibility.
  18. Sir I understand what you're saying about RB in the chow hall. If that really was the case, can you explain this one to us that aren't there anymore? Thanks.
  19. Need pics of those. Thanks.
  20. Sir, I have to respectfully disagree with that one. I was there last year this same time frame, and we were sent over to ELRS to simply inventory a bag and hand it right back over to them. After that was done, we were released. And to top it off, you were required to keep the tag for "accountability" prior to the exercise. Now, I didn't throw mine away, but somewhere in my third dorm room move in less than a week at the Deid, it got misplaced. The unit CC's were required to submit everyone's "tag number" in order to ensure that everyone on base had processed, and you were supposed to be able to produce your tag if asked for. (Via CC call briefing). No one ever asked me for the number, the tag, or nor did I play in the exercise. As aircrew, we were in crew rest. Just my two cent's worth.
  21. Need the proof for that one. I'd like to know your job and how you were in on that discussion.
  22. Shack Again and Again!!!!!!!!!! You guys are on fire tonight. That's 3 PI's in a row from 40,000 AGL. Sir, I'll add this one to the laundry list of crap we have to put up with while at AUAB......EXERCISES in a delpoyed environment!!!!!!!!!! And every person on the base being told to go inventory a chem bag for the LRS when it's their DAMN job to ensure that we're taken care of properly. Please tell me why the LRS who is in charge of inventoring those bags can't do their own job???
  23. SHACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
