Thanks for that.. if that holds true.. then good.

I don't have the brief anymore.. but last year overall was about 75%. DP was about a 99% and Ps on average were about 35%. Where did you see the overall rate of 86% for this year? My record is average.. last OPR was very good...
-
So... not counting on a DP for my O5 board this year. And if I get a P...based on the blood bath last year...not hopeful for the board to select me for O5. So with that, anyone have any idea/prediction to what continuation will be like? I think someone else asked it, but is the standard now going to be passed over twice and booted? And which AFSCs are considered critically manned?
-
It's actually the AFSC I held as a UAV pilot/operator when UAVs were UAVs and not RPAs..before they changed to 18X or whatever it is now.
-
Someone has messed up my AFSCs somehow.. I have T12S as a duty and 11U for primary. Not sure if that would help, hurt, or do anything..?
-
I don't understand the continuation board at all.. how are people for continuation selected? I would assume it was based off of not having any negative discriminators..but it seems random..? If I were to ask the board what I needed to do to raise my chances at being picked up for continuation, what would their response be? My IPZ board meets in March...and based on this past year I don't have high hopes for getting picked up. I think I remember someone here saying TERA is to be offered until 2018 which might allow me to pick up TERA in the case I don't make O5.. anyone else remember reading about that somewhere?

I emailed the dude working ARP packages, and he responded with this: Unfortunately, you are not eligible because you do not meet the primary criteria to enter into an agreement: PSDM 14-59, Part III: Eligibility Criteria, Paragraph 1.a.ii., says Initial Eligible CSOs whose ADSC for UFT expires in FY2014 or completes the appropriate YAS will be able to request and execute an ARP Agreement in FY2014. CSOs must have completed their 6-year UCSOT ADSC and/or 7 CSO YAS in FY2014 (whichever is later). You completed your UCSOT ADSC on 5 May 2008 and 7 CSO YAS on 24 Jul 2008, both of which are outside the FY2014 requirement. The PDSM actually says this though: b. Early-Eligible: Pilots and CSOs whose ADSC for UFT expires in FY2015 or completes the appropriate YAS will be able to request and execute an ARP Agreement in FY2014 i. Pilot: 10-year UPT completion and 11 pilot YAS in FY2015 (whichever is later) ii. CSO: 6-year UCSOT completion and 7 CSO YAS in FY2015 (whichever is later) So I have completed my ADSC for UFT and have 12 YAS. Does this PDSM say I have to have exactly XX YAS or more than XX YAS??

I'm only going to be there for 30 hours.. at least what's planned.. so I'm kinda concerned about the flakey ferrys or sea conditions.. How often is this an issue?
-
Might be travelling through Spain TDY in the near future and was looking at getting from Rota to Morroco via rental car/ferry. Anyone done this before? Seems like it should be pretty easy and staight forward. Does this require a civ passport or can this day trip be done with NATO orders and a military ID?

Does the method/timing for DE apply to all?? Including IDE?

If I am trying to get something complete prior to by O5 board.. what is typically the latest I can complete it and have it make it on my record?
-
We found a few places in Cambridge that will match the lodging limit.. so we should be good to go. Anyone every stay at the University Arms?
-
Quick question regarding TDY location.. tried to make reservations at Mildenhall for 30ish people. Mildenhall had no rooms but made reservations for us at Lakenheath.. if my TDY location is Mildenhall, am I in my right to secure my own lodging off base or do I have to accept lodging at Lakenheath because of its proximity? Thanks.

I don't remember the email saying that AAD will be masked. If the information is available to the board they will use use for the promotion process even if leadership says "don't". Even if it is masked to the board like it was in the past, it is not masked to your senior rater. They will always use it for stratification and distribution of DPs. I would never trust anyone who says you don't need to get that shit anymore.. if you don't want to then fine.. but don't leave it unchecked becasue you think it's not needed anymore.

Was wondering the same thing... so you're saying there's a chance...
-
Just to clarify.. do you get continuation if passed over for IPZ? Or does it not come until 2xAPZ? That being said, any indications that IF TERA is not available in a few years, will they revert back to continuation? Are they not continuing people beceause TERA is available? Or are we most likely looking at all twice passed over (with TERA not being an option) as being sent on their way similar to 2011?
-
You would think so.. When/if I am passed over, I will have 16 years. My IPZ is next year, and based on some folks that had pretty strong records and didn't get promoted...I don't have much hope. And now it seems we are back to the non-continuation strategy similar to 2011. I just hope that TERA is available in 2016 for my 2 above.. either that or bigblue panics after they realize everyone got out and they promote everyone. Are there any statistics on non-continuation/continuation? Anything negative on the records or just average joes?

I have the link for combat hours as of Aug 2013.. any issues posting it here?
-
It seems as if combat time/hours are becoming more important on promotion boards. A few PRFs on the last board had XXXX combat hours/top 10% combat hours in ACC/AFSOC etc.. where do they get information wrt where someone stands compared to the rest of the AF for combat hours to write a bullet like that?
-
Does anyone have stats for passed over majors being offered continuation for 2012 & 2013 following the 2011 incident that had 150+ passed over O4s kicked out?

I have always towed my own cars... I buy a trailer which costs $2-2.5k.. tow your car, and then sell the trailer for what you bought it for.. I have done this 3 times.
-
I strongly thought about doing this.. but I had a 45 min commute to work each day at Beale I coudn't stand, so decided a 1.5 hour commute would be twice as bad according to science. Tempting though... We have a couple people that live in SF on the weekends, and a trailor during the week.

Try to get to Osan. There is a chick there named Songton Sally... she'll hook you up.
