Am I the only one who gives zero fvcks on which brand of faip you were? A faip is a faip and there are no virgins amongst the whores. A good attitude is where you make your money. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If it's neck strength your looking for, look no further than bqzip's mom. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You're right, most recovered, but TAMI is my personal # one reason why I didn't take the devil's money, followed closely by over-conservative mustache regulations. I signed on for ten years knowing that I was at the disposal of the AF upon completion of pilot training, but there was a reasonable assumption that the government would get their money's worth from their investment by putting me in a flying job. The UAV debacle married up with being repeatedly told that it was the end of the line for manned flying destroyed the trust between me and the bureaucratic process that is AFPC. Personally, I will not sign up for indentured servitude at any point in the future, regardless of any good deals attached. Back on topic- how bout those viper drops! They will answer your questions honestly, and they have no crystal ball. They are middle manager flesh peddlers. Know that they won't have answers to many of the question we asked; when will we go back and what will we fly when we do, but they may give their best guess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am as salty as most here, but I see nothing wrong with what they are trying to do. It should go without saying that this isn't the silver bullet that will stop the hemorrhaging of fighter personnel, but it's better than no action. I agree, real action would be allowing busses full of morally loose women to frequent the o clubs again (or even re-instate o clubs), but that won't happen again in my lifetime. Gotta set realistic goals. This also will be seen by outsiders to the community - an attempt at reinstating that lost sense of respect and prestige we've all bitched about. I see this as a net positive, and a hit generator on Tony's site. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Chad lippelgoos at nbkc hooked me up with two sweet loans (re-fi and va loan) best rates in the nation and great service. Thanks chad! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And the inverted spin continues... assuming you didn't squeeze the boss's wife's cans at the xmas party, the stubbornness of our service to not reform promotion for pilots- especially in a manning crisis- mystifies me. When the services officer is sent to pilot training for failing to ensure there are towels at the gym, I will acknowledge the value of our promotion system. Until then, operators get a pass for deployments, upgrades and formal training. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wrong. If you're gonna throw you're schvance out on the internet, at least have your facts straight, juxtaposed to your sexuality. Ask yourself who was providing SEAD for the first day of Libya and re-assess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Omfg, what will we - as officers- do in this grey area where there seems to be lacking regulation? Please don't tell me I may have to use my own judgement- some chief will have my a$$! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Some people can figure it out in a .8. For others, it takes a 3.1 hour sortie and an additional person to lower the gear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The concept of "the one" is on the same shelf as Rapunzel and tooth fairies, and watching a bunch of military aviators try to play the role of "dear Abby" is on the fringes of my comfort level- much like when bqzip's mom asked for a glass-bottom-boat. Does this kid want to be a pilot? Does he know he will study more in one year if UPT than he did in 4 (or five in my case) years of college? Or is he worried about some chick getting her feelings hurt because he has to prioritize his one shot at flying for the military over Sunday morning trips to bed bath and beyond? Is she willing to make the effort to visit so he can keep from washing out thus being sent to be a finance officer that fvcks up my BAH? Kids these days. Get off my lawn. To be sure, drones stunted my my professional growth. However, when I was fortunate enough to go down range in the mighty viper after my stint in the black hole, the 1400 hours I spent watching Hajis through the Robot one-eye had some very transferable skill sets. I knew the capes of the droids which came in very handy while strike planning on the fly with the Jtac/Droid operator in dynamic situations. Also, when you watch the bad guy for the amount of time I did/ you have, you gain an intuition about bad-guy behaviors and can sift through the chaff of a civilian tending his goats vs ISIS trying to camo an arty piece in a water truck. Be grateful to return/go to a manned platform, but once you gain some experience in your new airframe, don't be afraid to share your experiences. BL, don't sell yourself short and good luck. I went trough UPT in deal rio. I was never there on the weekends. In fact, I was in Austin so much I rented and apartment there with a few other guys to save on hotel bills. However, my situation was slightly different in that I am the best pilot to ever grace AETC's program and I didn't show up to a formal training course worried about my long distance relationship. YMMV. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As a dude who escaped from robots, it is near and dear to my heart what it's like to show up and be three or more years retarded from your peers. If career advancement is your thing, this cross flow gig is not for you. If you're tired of explaining to your FE the finer points of holding and flying upside down and killing bad guys are in your bucket list, give it a whirl. Those IGI and WG/XP positions aren't gonna fill themselves. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I had an experience similar to ranter's. I met some good folks, had a good flt cc, learned a thing or two and graduated with my flight ranked fifth from the bottom. Edit: why do I need a minor in script editing to make posts

I have never been able to understand the point of view from the 5th gen haters. Why hasn't China swallowed up Taiwan and the rest of the geography in its proximity? Because America. A super tucano or whatever "today's war" buzzword doesn't deliver the threat of overwhelming military power. Further, buzzword "today's war" cas platforms are not mutually exclusive with a parity nuclear arsenal and air superiority, but every time someone brings up the a-10 or our lack of whatever mosquito-like propeller driven light attack aircraft, the response (at least here) is overwhelmingly some sarcastic blurb about the f35 and it's lackluster gun. As a fighter pilot, I want a platform that the Russians will be apprehensive about sharing airspace with. As an American, I want better nukes than everybody else, and I want those prioritized over a light attack aircraft. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited to be less of an a$$hole
