Very much agreed. With his current presentation a lot of nations/people just roll their eyes at "Crazy Uncle Donny" when he deviates (and he always deviates) from the fact we carry the western world on our back. Someone on here mentioned innovation not happening elsewhere like in the US. I can't say this is the case for my field (Cyber/IT). There are tons of new innovations coming out of other countries because the barriers to entry are extremely low. There's so much talent out there the H1B visa situation is something I used to watch more closely. Where those barrier to entry are high (manufacturing of equip) those companies (ex. CISCO) are picking up tons of foreigners.

This is legit the question I was going to ask. Is it good training...seems so from your statement.

Is it harder for you on here because there's no "Share" button like on Facebook/Twitter for your echo chamber bullshit to spread? Story isn't even on https://www.drudgereport.com/ for coverage right now.

Thanks to DosXX and JazzDude, those are really interesting ideas and along the lines of what I was thinking. There are real, tangible things we can do within out current system before we blow it all away. That being said, a lot of the cost for care comes as early detection and follow-up weren't done as a part of routine care...because of a lack of insurance. Said the same thing about a lot of programs by the government (ex. Social Security, Workers comp, etc.) yet here we are. It's amazing to me we're one of the few Western nations that has this debate, and the fall back is, "It costs money, my freedom is being taken." I lived in a lot of places during my active years all of them Western (except for a horrible stint in Korea) and I asked a lot of people about their health care, because like I said...family issues, and none of them bitched about it. Canadians, Australians, UK'ers, Germans. Anecdotal, I know. (From that group Ozzies partied the hardest...by far.) I read all your comments Guardian, a lot of it seems to boil down to, "I got mine, don't get sick, stop being poor." I guess we'll keep helping each other with medical costs via GoFundMe.

This is one of the reasons I ask this question here. I'm the only member of my current family generation that did the military thing. My Dad retired, got that Tricare, but emphatically urged us not to join. Watching my brothers struggle through the financial crisis, and then medical issues really opened my eyes up to what it was costing for healthcare. Then I married into a family w/Hemophilia. From having eyes being open, to getting lemon juice squeezed in them. There are competing opinions on here, but they're usually thought provoking enough and good conversation to make me think about what I want vs. what I think is right outside my little sphere. Thanks Dudes and Dudettes.

I actually have a policy question. What is the Republican answer for Health Care? ACA's been out for years, best I've heard is more HSA/FSA and "let states deal with it." Those don't help with people that really need healthcare, though they do appeal to my political leanings. I've had family members born with chronic medical conditions I've mentioned before, bankrupting their families. FSA/HSA ain't gonna help with that. Best I can find for Donny is - https://www.promiseskept.com/achievement/overview/healthcare/ which doesn't tell me anything about future plans, and his campaign site lacks anything on it. Funny the "Shop" link is the biggest up top. Best I can find for Joey - https://joebiden.com/healthcare/, plus there's a ton of "plan" links (didn't find Green Deal...also didn't look hard) for what they want.

Come on man...stop quibbling about this shit. He is simply dishonest, says what he thinks will work in the moment or not and goes back on his word. Both politically and in business. Because one is in the "free market/private industry" doesn't make it better or worse than someone who's been in "public service" their whole life. So, I know for one thing when I had to deal with Boxer AND Feinstein as my Senators digging into how they got so rich (and their families...Mr. Boxer in particular) was there's no insider trading for them. So they can hear about a deal, or know how legislation is going to go. I think this has since been changed because of those shit-ass republicans who took the classified briefs and started selling stock before the public getting in trouble. This COULD explain it, but there's obviously more nefarious ways "Uncle Joe" coulda made his money. But lets not act like Trump hasn't done the exact same thing for his family, example #1 - The Trump Foundation. Also, personal opinion only, but to think that there's more leverage on Joe than there is on Donny...I'm hard pressed to believe that. So...no, you can't. This isn't fucking Twitter, stop being a shit-post crusader, lol.

It's why I cash checks...so yes!

This must be like when you guys call-out someone for overstating bullshit about flying. I'll paraphrase - "Kubernetes is cool, it'll auto-magically build, kill and rebuild applications and infrastructure that are 'more secure.'"
-
You gonna keep just posting videos or actually address some of the criticisms of the ongoing story?
-
"totally not run over with bullshit."

About a week I think? No martial relations for at least that long.

Wait...like #2 didn't work and he tried again for #3, or did ya boy just like sharp objects and needles near his nuts? Hopeful - I had 1. Tricare did not cover, cost about $8K in 2013, was not successful. Just talk to your PCM so they can put it in the record, and find an off-base urology clinic that you trust and tell them you're a cash patient. It's almost never covered by insurance. I don't know if you got clipped in the USAF, but I had to sign...3 waivers?...and my wife (at the time) had to approve as well. We then spent another $30K+ trying in-vitro, also not successful. I feel like fertility issues need to get brought up more, and it was the reason I was so fucking pissed off at the DoD authorizing hormones for mentally ill people to "switch genders" but not for normal people trying to have kids.
-
Huh, they can't go into too much detail but it is interesting someone signed off on the use of open-source software to get it done. If those folks could cross over to every other part of the USAF, that would be great.

I love Marbula E. Searching what this was gave me a good chuckle.

Yea, this part gets super old. I remember when the Sen Maj Leader Reid dropped the nuke to get judges through...and the R's jumped up and down. Then the R's do it (since the the D's opened the hole) and "it's a travesty against the honorable institution of the Senate, Constitution, God, et al." Also...who the fuck is saying on here, with a straight face, that Obama didn't have scandals? The gun-running, Iran, Pred strikes of dubious value (at best) are the big ones I can think of just off the top of my head. Lets not act like Trump's just getting a "rough deal" from the press...he's wants it that way so he can look like some kind of fighter for the people, but only his people. I also have no idea wtf is going on with this latest Russia stuff. Since Trump's busy fucking up his campaign by giving COVID to everyone, it's not really in any news that I've seen.
-
And that's not good news they're bouncing either. I'm interested to see if FIA is going to do anything to try and attract more engine suppliers, otherwise it's going to get even more boring.

Thanks for proving the point.

You wanna go with source? Only think I found on a "Gandhi rape" search was from a Vice article by someone claiming to be the grandson of a guy that was in jail with Gandhi. It doesn't mention rape, that he just slept naked next to young girls (ew). Same for "Mahatma Gandhi rape." Admittedly, I didn't click on page 2.

Good, the honest discussions with each other are worth so much more then having our Airmen browbeaten about how they're wrong, always been wrong and always will be wrong.

Multiple safety briefings about dumb shit. So, you know, the usual. Until they arrived, it was chill, briefings went fast (so back to drinking, golfing, whatever) and our instructors left us alone after class. I'm not salty about it, got some good stories. I mean, beer pong until 0200 on a Wed produces good stories. During a career brief they also told the visiting Gen that the F-35 was a "bad jet" that our adversaries were already doing better, and one asked how they were going too get breakfast before out "exercise" if the chow halls were closed that early. Most took zero feedback about being chill since "they had already been in the AF for 4 years." If anything it showed me why the, "Why can't the AF treat us like adults," refrain from Amn/Lt's gets grating very quickly. SOS was a lot better. Same amount of drinking, less people, better food, less bullshit. Plus I had pilots (A10, C17) in my class who fucking ruled.

Went to ASBC, it was fine until the Academy grads showed up.

And the Right was just sitting there as innocent as can be, doing nothing at all and getting sucker punched by the big mean left. 😢

I live in UT, where it's been mail-in for a while now. I will get my ballots no later than 9 Oct (I think). I can mail them in anytime up to election day, and I can drop them off any time up to election day. They did send out warnings that if they're mailed on election day they might not get counted if they're delayed, or something happens. Love my 1st Amendment, but I like the way the UK does election day. No reporting on it until the polls close in all districts. Would suck for our East Americans, but addresses the, "why bother" if someone appears to be down and a area hasn't counted a ton of ballots. I guess I should add that I heard that was the status in the UK, but now I'm thinking it might be Australia...shit, I don't know.
