It is. The prequels were better than TLJ.
  2. You guys know this isn't a new thing right? This has been a requirement for almost 15 years. The sectioning off of a singe office for a "mother's room" might be new. But the fact it had to be a sanitary place (i.e. not a bathroom) has been directed since I was an Airmen. Even back then people were bitching about why the just couldn't do it in a stall... I'd imagine the direction for buildings on base designating a room is based on number of people and number of women. Kinda like handicapped parking spots. Now if that's a dedicated room for only that...I can't speak to it.
  3. I keep thinking about this. But when this shit tanks again...who's going to pay that rent? My brother was almost 30 living in a house w/4 other dudes after the Great Recession. Not by choice.

It was on the reddit thread w/ this preview. The movies board on there isn't too bad.

Apparently they're going to do a remake with some "up and coming" rock band with KL doing some vocals on it.
  6. Wubby is fantastic.

Wait...you're telling me that's not real? Prime comment from video - " That's the realest military mustache I've ever seen on film. "

Another interesting thing moving to the merit promotion and 5 year window. It's a feedback system. If you promote early, but pin on in Dec...it's an indicator. If you promote year 5, in Dec... it's another indicator. By all means not the best, but it's something else to look at.
  9. I did GO travel support before, and enough staff time to know how the whole thing works. I also know when doing those the GO's I worked for were great leaders, and worked hard to make sure they were within the rules. I was always happy to help the boss out when they're in a bind (card not working)...but there wasn't a personality issue, and the GO's never expected me to do it. I'm guessing that's different here? I don't know. I just know this seems to be catching a lot of "leaders" these days.

Well, I think some more strat rules will come as well as clear direction to the board. That should help. God forbid the "leaders" actually rate those that are performing well and providing feedback. Just had a Grp CC retire that was the epitome of the shit we've had to trudge through with the myopic "golden child" view for the past 15~20 years (maybe longer). He had someone else's #1 come into the group and the rating Sq/CC said they were absolutely not performing worthy of a Group/Wing Strat. Shit-bird didn't want to "impact his on-ramp" and got him a grp/wg strat. I think about staying in and all of this getting figured out, and seeing where we go as a force. The future is bright...but I'm really fucking tired, and I don't want to move.
  11. You make it sound like DTS and CTO have this process clearly defined with an easy guide and approachable help via phone, email or chat.
  12. Buddy of mine was trying to take leave in conjunction with a trip. DTS and CTO threw all kinds of fits. She was made aware...she just didn't care.
  13. Wanted to say thanks for posting this. I've not followed it closely, but enough to know the prosecution screwed up and he got off. The details the brother provides is perfectly inline with what I've seen military "justice" be in my Sq leadership days. I was blind to the nuances of the case, and appreciate the kick to the ass. Telling officers they can't punish someone who's only accused of a crime and having to argue that fact is becoming tiresome. I don't know if we need more training on what the Constitution actually is, more time with the JAG or something else. Trying to explain to someone that a Courts Martial panel isn't the same thing as a jury is also mind blowing. The training we provide to Commanders is morally reprehensible for the power they wield, exponentially so if they've been away from the lower ranks for years.

If a droid doesn't call someone a "Meat bag" I'm rioting.

This kinda gets into it a little bit on the damage from the light touch. A nice breakdown w/ the history. Again, it's from the F1 youtube channel, which has great content.

I agree with everything you said, but this the most. How are you going to continually keep this dude? I wonder if Vettel is going to look for a new team at this point. It's apparent who's the #1 on there...even if the team isn't owning up to it.

Just posting it here in case anyone hasn't seen it F1's youtube channel. Has good highlights- https://www.youtube.com/user/Formula1/videos Also, looks like the 2020 season is going to have some changes -

2 for 1, not a bad deal. Which one are you going to take your boyfriend to?

I've been getting into F1 after that great series on Netflix. The youtube channel has great highlights. FYI - If you do want to torrent the files, use a VPN.
  21. I had to sit through a leadership meeting with a former commander to get after some of the DEOCS comments. One of them was that he never made a decision...which he refuted by saying he was never given enough information, or the staff work wasn't good enough to make a decision. In an ops squadron. He then didn't brief the officers on results, he had a MSgt do it. The DECOS is a great tool, and I wish more people would use it for the truth on both extremes. The output is just like the linked above. Also...that's a whole lot of comments. Wow.

This was my former commander...thank the Lord he's gone. So much headache over perfectly legal rooms.

"Hey, you guys didn't break the rules...but you broke the unwritten rules." AKA - Go airline.
