  1. The F-35 Can't Run On Warm Gas From A Fuel Truck That Sat In The Sun
  2. If they said the Air Force Band was coming, they needed volunteers to set up, tear down, and watch the show. I'd actually go.
  3. About normal for the idiots around here.
  4. Haven't finished it yet, and some of the editorializing is.. annoying. But I found it a good read and indicative of the problems our leaders face when trying to make all parties happy. https://www.nytimes.com/2014/11/30/magazine/the-militarys-rough-justice-on-sexual-assault.html?smid=tw-share&_r=1 Wow.
  5. I think it's pretty interesting all the front runners have declined to even entertain the idea. Also, it's worth noting that Hagel is reported to have pushed back against many of the things we on here bitched about the military being involved in (ex. Ebola) and was given the axe for it.
  6. Jethro Tull's pretty cool. How many albums has he released?
  7. Oh..well. network security demands that I get rid of that for you. 1. Big Lebowski 2. O Brother Where art Thou 3. Matrix (all hail our one god Neo)

Interstellar - awesome hard sci-fi flick. Very 2001-ish.

  10. Other articles say this was at the club in front of enlisted folks, unrelated to a debrief. Do you guys do that?

I'm not up for a board. Just noticed it. Where do I find those instructions?

Still on the rack and stack excel sheet I just got from the boss. So.. not really solving anything.
  13. This board has helped me orient myself to what the USAF should be about - mission. Not my stupid rules saying who can connect what/when. Not saying we're closed at 1600L to someone before figuring out the back story. This board has helped me become a better Airman and Officer. I can't really say that about anywhere else on the internet. Sure, I got a ban for making a poor joke in a thread. I don't think I deserved it, but I believe that's called arguing in the debrief or quibbling. I blocked USAFPilots posts long ago. It's made this thread in particular so much more enjoyable (and short).

Well, I was there in '99

I miss the tents from 1999
  16. Sucker for hot blondes, what can I say. Plus, this one's nice to me.
  17. So first.. I need to cancel my cell phone insurance. Stupid me. I got it when phones cost more and I was in the middle of a divorce and couldn't afford to drop the $ on another smart phone. Hell.. probably shouldn't have gotten it in the first place. Second, I did get AppleCare. Cost... $300+. I've had work done costing over a $1k. I walk into an apple store, say what's wrong, they look up to see if it's under warranty and take it away to fix it. I might have signed one form. Comes back working and clean. I drop my laptops. However, it was the wireless card that died with another issues I can't remember. Perhaps related to the dropping. So, it is the one gadget insurance purchase I do and encourage others to do. As always YMMV. I will be getting it again if I get another MacBook. If I get something else, probably not since it won't be as expensive/expected to last as long. My wife also kills her laptops. I don't know how, they just stop working at some point. I'm comm and she's the worst customer I have...
  18. This dumb shit is on here too? He's a civilian. The salutes didn't start until Reagan did it. I don't care for the man, but this is some dumb shit to be getting worked up over. How about this instead - Air Force Installation & Mission Support Center https://www.afmc.af.mil/library/featuredtopicarchive/airforceinstallation&missionsupportcenter.asp Now the wing king ain't.
  19. No. SCCM is broken and needs to get fixed. There was a patch released to do this recently because it was an issue ID'd with the OS image HHQ pushed for machines.
  20. I know a guy who knew the guy. So, with that chain of custody - The CC directed ADAPT complete ex-Capt decided he was still good to imbibe in a foreign land, with E's in their dorm day room... which had cameras. My bud just shook his head when I brought it up and said the dude got off light for what could have happened and the now ex-capt was surprised this happened at all. All my friend would say is this dude was a problem for a long time and didn't want to talk about it anymore.
  21. Ah yes.. this dude. Somehow it fails to mention the head-slamming victim was female.
  22. It's funny till it happens to you. Who's excited for the Virtual ESD??!?!?!?!
  23. This was also my preferred method. Parallels just didn't work well for me when trying to do AF/Windows stuff. You can attempt to do it free with WINE (https://wiki.winehq.org/MacOSX) if you feel like spending more time trying to get it to work. Note - I couldn't.
  24. It seemed to start working until about three days ago, but now I'm not getting updates to "View New Content" again. I'll get one or 2 threads, but nothing I've commented in before.
