  1. I've re-read and get the overall "she's a self-serving c#nt" information. Not quibbling, I meant was there an overall incident that caused the fine and/or McChing name. Where does the check go?
  2. I meant we don't have bars in the Sq w/ fines and such. So I'm clueless on these things, though interested to learn since it is part of AF culture. I've read through the whole thread, but it's murky and unclear as to why (besides the lawsuit, and not caring about flying) there's a fine or how it even started. Didn't know if there was something more plain out there.
  3. Not sure what this is. There's no cyber bar yet.
  4. So.. as a none flyer I have no idea about this whole fine/her name = evil thing. Is there a back story I can get linked to or PM'd on? Post the address and I'll send a check otherwise. Also.. if she's got a fine, how come He Who Shall Not Be Named doesn't?
  5. Was for a STE/BiTL, and it was for personal calls as well (yellowpages). However, no previous 3-star demanded gov't pay for it; they paid the $15 out of pocket. Originally she wanted us to run a DSN line to her house. I'll just leave it as this was part of an overall... wave of changes that indicated she was going to be a problem and I'm glad I got the hell out of there.
  6. Current JFCC-Space (3 Star) wouldn't pay for a phone line to her 5 bedroom (she's single) house. Because she could get work calls on it she demanded one of the local comm sq foot the bill.
  7. Nope. I was in the base Comm Sq, just assigned as his support. Had Col. Bacon (now Gen) LOR in my pkg (STS). That was after it got through a chief who thought I shouldn't be nominated since all my EPRs weren't firewall 5's; 2 were 5's, but had markdowns.
  8. Ya think? Glad I got to be one of those enlisted guy for Gen Hobbins (former USAFE CC). That dude was awesome and seemed to break the whole "judgement skewed" thing. And don't forget the AF has more Gen's per capita than all the other services.
  9. Standard.
  10. Whoa whoa whoa.. lets not get technical.
  11. 185 left? Are these getting replaced at all or is there just a time when they'll all be gone? Glad he's ok.
  12. 2 4-stars going down for this. I particularly like how they both wrote LOR's for the hotter one's twin sister. After a judge said this about her - linky - https://www.nypost.com/p/news/national/battle_john_allen_also_helped_jill_YjkEYUNY2INC4smBMEYqUI/1
  13. This sounds like a completely legit reason to get involved with the spouse's club.
  14. They had a large group that did that while I was at Osan. Between that, and the shirtless Academy dudes playing rugby I spent a lot of time in my room.
  15. I'm in.
  16. Copy, you guys were at the position of attention 24/7 and never spoke to each other.
  17. Negative. Bar soap required a plastic case which was inspectable. Liquid soap was used by all.
  18. FIFY
  19. 40+ dudes, 8 shower heads. You figure it out.
  20. Went through BMT in '99, so perhaps things have changed. But I meant non-leadership (student, TI, or otherwise) inspired things. Generally at night after the TI's had departed stupid things happened. We sang, ran around naked, and other assorted embarrassing things that are only appropriate in a training environment, but generally make it easier to get through. Did you not have those occurrences at BMT? OTS we had hats, painted a rock repeatedly, sang... and had those stop march step things. Which were glorious because we could annoy faculty with them.
  21. Went through 09-05 Tiger myself. We did Friday CC call with Pizza. I thought it was a good time, especially the blue falcon's and naming that went on, same for the Sat one as well. Overall it wasn't that bad. I think the gold hawks got dressed up at that time. Hoyas.. who knows. Tigers were a little more "motivated" than the other 2 flights, but we didn't do any stupid costumes, dances, or flash mobs. It's all training environment fun. Same dumb sh*t happens in Basic Training, it's just less "leadership" focused.
  22. I'm not, nor have I ever claimed to be, a pilot. Are we not allowed to have opinions on the internet anymore? I mean, in a WTF thread it must all be fact. Not moral theology, more personal hypocrisy. But whatever you'd like to name it: she's in the news, blanketed in her religion against the big bad AF that wants single mothers to murder their unborn babies.. after they sign a contract and hide it from leadership.
  23. THIS. I've seen so many "leaders" more worried about looking bad than actually having something bad happen, or wanting to take a stand. g2s, glad you've got that leadership. I've had it a couple times as well in almost 13 years. It's probably the reason I stayed in.
  24. We could spin that wheel and I'd be at a loss to figure out which sins require what in prostration/penance/payment. More about the "I'm a faithful Catholic" in one area and holding it up as a reason she couldn't "fix" the problem. But.. if she'd been that devout in the first place there wouldn't have been this situation. Is she married now? I didn't see it in the article, but I was skimming. Where's the faith? Don't throw your faith out there as a reason you can't do something, when you've already done something your faith is against. That being said, I'm glad she didn't boot the kiddo.
  25. My understanding is AMS is now located at Maxwell with OTS and ROTC summer camp. Good site to look through is here - https://www.airforceo...ortal/index.php It's what I used prior to OTS. There is a guard forum and prep forums.
