  6. This is the problem with liberals and Obama slurpers in general. They stick their heads in the sand and pretend like nothing is going on around them. They have NO IDEA who they voted for, and most don't care. To them, Obama is about an idea and history, not a person. Idiots. All of them.
  7. The Air Force stopped serving peanuts about the same time as the airlines. Weird.
  8. Clowns. Every single one of them. And the clowns in the House (that means you, "congressman") just put the crying Boehner back in charge. Good work. Prepare for a government shutdown in a couple of months.
  9. Yeah, it was a waste of taxpayer money to have him fly back and forth from Hawaii only to accomplish it via "autopen." At $180k/hr for AF1 and a broke government, you'd think he'd either just cancel the trip or stay in Hawaii. Did he really do anything in DC that he couldn't have done via teleconference? And if it were so important that he be there, why not cancel the trip altogether? How many other Federal workers get 20 day vacations on the government dime? You want to start cutting waste? Start from the top.
  10. Let's start with these "vacations" https://www.hawaiireporter.com/residents-alerted-to-obamas-hawaiian-holiday-plans/123 Laser like focus - the amateur didn't even sign the bill before he hauled ass back to his vacation. Standard. And while I seriously doubt any congressman is wasting his time posting on these boards (probably just some fucking nav trolling us), if you are in fact real, I have one piece of advice: DO YOUR JOB. No more excuses, no more grandstanding. Just STFU and do your job.
  11. I like to do a show of force over my house every other Wednesday just to make sure my neighbors know I'm serious.

  19. Looks like a high school newspaper wrote the article, but glad the pilot got out ok.
  20. I think I'm going to pick up an M&P 9 before the end of the year. Hope nothing happens when I go boating on New Years.
  21. Reid can't even get a budget through the Senate, how is he going to get this relatively unpopular measure to go anywhere? Even immediately after the shootings, a small majority of Americans (via Gallop polling) were against any additional gun control laws. That number will only get bigger as the shock and outrage of what happened wears off. Sucks to be the people that paid $2-3k for AR-15s in the hype. When nothing happens, I bet prices drop lower than what they were even before the shootings.

  23. They weren't really open on Christmas eve. I started calling at 0800 and they never answered. Didn't get the reply until 10pm Christmas. But that's not really my issue. The problem I have is the price hike over the course of that time. It's a bit more than $49 (although I don't remember what the original price was on Monday exactly). I already have a Bushmaster M4, so I'll pass. But to market directly to military and then hike up the price for no good reason is pretty weak. As long as the rifle gets in before January 15, and the receipt is dated sometime between now and 31 Dec, the rebate is valid. The attitude of "well I've got 100s of orders and I'm doing you a favor" is what rubbed me the wrong way. It's one thing for Cabellas or a chain store to do it, but to hang your hat on the mil/leo hook up and then pull that BS is a foul.
  24. Tried working with Quantico Tactical on their M&P15. I highly recommend staying away from them. I originally e-mailed them Sunday, and received a response Monday morning to call that day to secure a rifle. I asked about the M&P 15 M4 Clone with carry handle. I think it was listed on the website at around $780 after mail-in rebate. I knew they were on back order, but I asked if I could order and pay for one now so I'd have a dated receipt to get the $100 rebate from S&W. Monday I tried calling, but the store was closed. So I e-mailed Lisa (head of govt sales) again and left a voicemail. Last night she e-mailed me and apologized for missing me (they closed early Monday) and said to call today. After several attempts, I finally got in touch with her. Apparently the prices of all the M&P had gone up nearly $100 ($829) since the weekend. And despite saying it would be no problem, she would not charge me to generate a receipt until the rifle comes in and ships (one-two weeks). So the price is actually $929. My buddy and I were going to buy two rifles, so later today I called back and asked if she'd honor the original price for both of us, but she declined. I understand demand right now, but if you're going to market to military and act like you're helping everyone out, it's poor form to raise the price over the course of a couple of days. You're not doing me a favor buy selling me something, so don't act like it. Especially when no manufacturer has raised any prices. (Her stance was, "Well it's still well under MSRP"). Anyway, recommend avoiding that place for firearms purchases.
  25. Completely agree. Just pulled out today. Moved everything to tax exempt long and intermediate term funds.
