Retire at 20 and take the cash. The only thing better than getting paid to fly.....is getting paid not to fly! Cap-10

What Nuke said. IAW the PTS...but since you are most likely doing an add-on, the PTS allows for the DPE to pick one or two maneuvers from each section instead of doing everything listed. Cap-10 Posted from the NEW Baseops.net iOS App!

I flew two flights on my own...one pattern only to practice the short/soft takeoff and landings and the power off-180 and another flight where I just concentrated on the stalls, steep turns, and ground reference maneuvers....about 1.69 hours total. Then, since you need a logbook endorsement, I flew a 1.0 with Gordo's IP for the to-check / sign-off...checkride after that. Cap-10 Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!

The $18K after taxes back in 1999 would be around $26K in 2014 dollars. Not rich enough for my blood. Cap-10 Posted from the NEW Baseops.net iOS App!

After having finance lose some supporting documentation from my first and second submittal attempts after returning from a deployment, I returned with a paper hand receipt and I demanded the NCOIC sign as proof of receiving said documents...When he didn't want to sign, I asked for the OIC...nope...I then asked for the first ADO/FGO....he signed and the voucher was paid 2 days later...3 months after I had returned from the deployment. Is it possible to turn off / decline the early retirement and just separate on 31 Dec, therefore allowing a transition (Palace Front?) to the Reserves? Posted from the NEW Baseops.net iOS App! -
Bremont! https://www.bremont.com Large discounts for military groups orders (on par with past Breitling Orders) but MUCH better options with regards to personalization (bracelets, open/closed back, engraving). Cap-10 Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!

Delta 1334 is the big winner when he asked the ground controller if he wanted them on Lima or Charlie...friggin hilarious!!! Posted from the NEW Baseops.net iOS App!

I know someone who had zero civilians ratings...never took a mil-comp anything. At the 19.69 yr point of flying fighters, he went to Accessible and did the ground study, written, and practical in one week. He still has nothing on the SE side, just the ATP-ME. As far as speaking in front of the bros, whether is a farewell, or weapons academics, I've always enjoyed the ice water rule. You can talk as long as you can keep your hand submerged in a bucket of ice water...when you can't stand the cold and take your hand out...your speaking part is over. Also know a guy who got charged with public intoxication after flipping off a cop...this was after he played the military card and the cop initially let him go. In jail...over night...busted! This was early in the T-38 phase, but he finished UPT and is now a CMR Pilot. This was within the last year. Cap-10 Posted from the NEW Baseops.net iOS App!

Columbus, Laughlin, and Vance all score the T-38 checkrides the same...upgrades...it's the same syllabus at all three bases. Sheppard is old school downgrade style...different syllabus. AFPC dishes out jets to each SUPT base using a Dungeons/Dragons 69 sided die and a Ouija Board...he doesn't care (or know) about your upgrade for close trail or form takeoff.
