I created my own excel doc to mimic the actual logbook I keep, which is the Jepp Professional logbook...would be happy to email you a copy. Cap-10 Posted from the NEW Baseops.net iOS App!

I have always hated the "one person shits, so everyone wears diapers" method... How about a good ole fashion wall to wall ball kicking of the person that screwed up....crush him...hold him responsible for his actions. Novel concept...I know. Cap-10 Edit for me spellun goodly. Practicing on my own dime is one thing...using the SE-COMM checkride to "practice" is another. Cap-10 Posted from the NEW Baseops.net iOS App!

340 FTG (UPT Reserve IP)

Bump: With the airlines hiring, we have a mix of positions open right now or this summer...all ranks and all MWS's T-38's have 2 AGR openings this summer (O-4), multiple O-4 and O-5?TR spots open right now and 2x ART positions...one open now, one this summer. IFF has 2 x TR spots open right now. AGR spot won't open until mid 2016. T-6 and T-1's have TR openings as well. T-6 ART positions have folks lined up, so those may be thought to get. I would get (actually am getting ) the SE-ATP in order to get my CFI. Your SE ticket has to be at least to a Commercial level in order to have the corresponding CFI. IMHO, the SE-ATP is an "easier" checkride then doing a SE-Commercial add on...short and soft field takeoff and landings, steep spiral, chandelles, lazy 8, eights on pylons, etc. Cap-10 Posted from the NEW Baseops.net iOS App!

Are you taking about a SE-ATP that includes a type rating? 61.159 says you need 50 hours in "class", so any single engine land aircraft would do. Cap-10 Posted from the NEW Baseops.net iOS App!

Bender, Believe it or not, but at Base X, the Staff Judge Advocate interpreted the words of the CSAF has a verbal waiver and briefed it as such to the FW/CC. FW/CC agreed. It's tough to have a "contest" if everyone's stache only goes as wide as the lips and as low as the upper lip line. Cap-10

MountainHerc, Are you keeping up with queep at home while you are downrange....if so, stop it! Here's my plan that has worked for the last 16.9 years: 1) when getting ready for leave, TDY, deployment, etc, put the ol out of office reply to work. 2) enjoy your time away from the squadron...it will not burn down and the wheels will keep on turning while you are gone...trust me. You are not as important as you think you are. However, you are a unique snowflake---just like everyone else! 3) when you return, open up outlook and delete every email you got while gone....don't spend even a second reading them. If it was that important, that person already found the info they needed or they will write/email/call back at a later date. BLOB (that's the lesser used Bottom Line On Bottom): concentrate on the mish downrange and stop giving a shit about the squadron running's back home...it will be there when you RTB safety! Check 6! Turning down an assignment but still have commitment
Cap-10 replied to ARAMP1's topic in General Discussion
C-21 is right.... In order: 1) number of short tours 2) STRD 3) OSRD BUT....(here is what happened at my last base when the gun squadrons were 6 on, home 12, basically getting ready to go, being gone, or in the 6 month home phase) A 365 would drop to the base for a Capt 11F and the top 6-9 guys'll according to 1,2,3 hierarchy above were all in the Ops squadrons, so the #10 guy on the list, an FTU IP at the time, got the call from the bullpen. Family First - Dont fuck that up! Do the ordinary things extraordinarily well. In the absence of orders, figure out what the orders should have been and execute that! Remind them that they have two ears but only one mouth. This means they would be wise to listen twice as much as they speak. Cap-10

It was actually spelled Blaise at first....even had the huge banner hung outside the main hangar. That lasted a week. Everyone read it as Blasé, as in unconcerned, nonchalant. The S was changed to a Z, huge ass banner was reprinted, and BLAZE was born. Cap-10 Edit: just saw day man's post...day late and a dollar short...story of my life.

Azimuth There is a reason that people refer to the uniform correction act as getting "Chiefed" and not as getting Capt'd or Major'd. While I have been corrected by a Lt for a uniform infraction (honest mistake at the time) it's always the MSgt and above that are in the full out sprint, almost breaking a leg in order to be "first" to nab the uniform criminal. I was Chiefed at 2am...in the RLB bathroom....at Bagram....in Jan during a snow storm because my unit issued thermals (desert colored to match desert FDU) that I was wearing under my PT/sleeping attire trying not to freeze to death because the heat pump in my room was hard broke, was not the approved black or blue authorized color. The 36 month TIG is only for your retired rank (which is waiverable down to 2 years TIG) If you are a Lt Col with 2 yr TIG, you retire and the waiver is approved for the < 3 yr TIG, then you are a Lt Col (ret) but your pay is still based on the high 3, so in this case, it would be 2 x years with O-5 pay and 1 year with O-4 pay. Let's have some fun with the uniform police! I'm guessing this new change won't be too publicized... My plan is to get all decked out on Friday....Friday patches, pencil tab, single name nametag, bright red squadron shirt, and then maybe stroll around MPF or finance...maybe get lost in the MSG building.....phishing for Chiefs. Of course, I will have the appropriate pages conveniently printed in my pocket to correct said Chief....bye-bye...thanks for playing...your prize is a home version of our game called STFU!!! Good hunting boys! Cap-10
