Cooperate to graduate (unless planning a political career)
Fuzz replied to brickhistory's topic in Squadron Bar
He couldn't bullshit his way through 14 pages without directly copying 25% of it from other sources. Yep sounds exactly like someone we need working as a U.S. Senator. -
The "AF Times" Facebook page is responding on JQP's Page, the insight they provide is even more confusing.

AF Band wins AF District of Washington wing's squadron of the year...... https://www.usafband.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123405454

Charleston Ties with Altus? Yeah because a base with beaches and a big city is equivilant to a four stoplight town with a walmart and McDs in the middle of nowhere. What were these guys smoking to come up with this, cause it has to be some good stuff.

What to do/not do as a new LT (aka how not to be "that LT")
Fuzz replied to Vice's topic in General Discussion
Vance had one, I think its gone now. -
Seems to swing back and forth between whoever is in command of the base (ACC vs AMC). Except when Col. Mack (now BG) was the WG/CC, the AMC guys wore the american flag, the ACC guys wore the wing patch and morale patches and Friday shirts were the norm even though the AFI said otherwise.

2, unless they are an IP at UPT. -
So spending money on border security is bad, how exactly do we enforce your "legal freeflow" idea without securing the border. I think the current system for people to enter the country is ridiculous. If we have no reason to keep them out (I.e. criminal history, disease etc) then they should be allowed to come, but they shouldn't be eligible for welfare under any circumstances.
-
The EU has tried this "open borders" crap and while I love it when I travel to ETAR, it has allowed the free flow of those in countries without generous welfare benefits to those that do (Reference the influx of people from the Balkans to the UK). Will building a fence or a wall stop everyone? No, not even the Berlin Wall could stop everyone. The solution is two part, secure the border (why not use the NG as a temporary stop gap for the overwhelmed border patrol?) and start cracking down on employers, stop welfare benefits without proof of legal residence, stop allowing illegals to fly, yes fly on U.S. airliners, without ID (see links below, yeah they're from breibart, sorry CNN doesn't seem to care). Remove the incentive, stop those that still come, and send those here back home as we find them. https://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-Texas/2014/07/12/TSA-Lying-and-Changed-Policy-After-Breitbart-Report-says-Border-Patrol-Union https://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/2014/07/12/USA-s-Most-Privileged-Illegal-immigrant-Stuck-in-Texas-Border-Town

In other news all C-17/C-5 aircrew's leave for the next 6 months has been cancelled.

So the girl who initiated the sexting isn't being charged. No double standard there.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I was told that to be eligible for a 365 you have to have 2 years TOS, hence the reason those chosen people don't spend anywhere longer than two years so they can move to the next rung of the career ladder, without those pesky 365s getting in the way.

It also doesn't help that there is such an emphasis on using FD and automation. I've been scolded before for just clicking off the AP/AT and ignoring the FD when it did something wrong like turned the wrong way or the computer went out to lunch. I would put the jet where I wanted and then get everything synced up but I always heard "at least bug a heading and sync the flight director so you at least have something" or insert "at least do X". As if I am incapable of turning to a heading unless it is bugged. For note this is mainly from Sim instructors but I think for new guys this ingraines fixation on having to use the automation/FD.
-
Let me guess they were also the ones that usually quibbled the most about each individual item's grade? While believing bumping that grade would help them when in reality it pissed off the instructors?

Saw this on JQPs facebook page, this guy seems to get it. https://youtu.be/lhL5svtF5m0

We still march in the AF? Great now everyone has to brush up on drill and ceremonies, only more brain nuggets and time sucked from primary duties. When's the last time a Sq/CC actually marched a flight?

"we encourage you to stop performing duplicative or unnecessary tasks" So either this is a new revelation or its just because the boss has said so. "These changes underscore that performance matters most." Copy all, box checking was what used to matter most. "The CSAF has laid out specific new policies to eliminate unnecessary time spent doing things twice when in fact we need folks to focus on mission execution." Glad to see this had to come from the most senior member of the service. "I and the Chief need you to share this information with your officers, and beyond that to embrace this way of doing business." And by you I mean "we the senior leadership" becuase you have been asking for this for years.

Iraq in state of emergency - Mosul overrun by militants; government flees;
Fuzz replied to Vice's topic in General Discussion
""This is not a combat mission, they are not being sent to participate in combat," said Rear Adm. John Kirby, the Pentagon press secretary, of the 300 Special Forces troops ordered to Iraq by President Obama on Thursday." Seems like someone is not understanding of the words "imminent danger". -
I know at vance the housing property and school fall under local jurisdiction, which is BS but that's an established agreement. But SF handles security and enforcement, unless there is an investigation in which SF will secure the scene and then hand it over to the local cops.

Asshat of a judge violates the SSCRA and orders a sailor on a dployed submarine to show to court or loose custody of his child (which was granted after CPS removed the child from the mother). https://seattle.cbslocal.com/2014/06/20/judge-orders-deployed-us-sailor-to-attend-custody-hearing-or-lose-daughter-face-contempt/

FY 15 Force Management Program (RIF, VSP, TERA)
Fuzz replied to C-21.Pilot's topic in General Discussion
Does the AF have a witness protection program? Cause I think he's going to need it, or maybe there's a extended TDY or leave he could take immediately. -
Regardless of if people follow the no masters guidance, I see two posotives a) the practice bleeding is going to stop with PME, which will mean young guys like me won't have SOS in correspondence, masters and learning our MWS/upgrading on our plate and b) people may actually start making better use of the TA money instead of rushing to get their Touro degree just to check the box. Its not an absolute win but at least some of the BS queep is getting cut.
