I don't think anyone on here is saying there isn't a problem, but the fact is there are few in leadership with the balls to combat the BS claims, and by opening a door to schools that have a very high washout rate, given the track record, some females may earn their way in, and other may threaten their way in, which hurts the units even more. Therefore whether officially or unofficially lower standards and sub-quality candidates will be allowed into those career fields. As for your second point I wholeheartedly agree, while I don't think it will work nor should it be implemented, there was a better time and place to do it, which I mentioned earlier and Nsplyr shot down.

NO it is not, but that is the reality of today's AF (Am I speaking latin here?), risk/lawsuit adverse, and somewhat rightly too because in the media and public circles, the mention of sexual harassment (even false ones) is a loosing battle for the AF out of the gate. Dude everyone wants the same standards! The fact of the matter is there is a 99.69% chance the standards will be lowered or there will be the behind closed doors stuff mentioned earlier with UPT washouts and likes. Its a pipe dream to think otherwise.

Did I miss the announcement of your promotion to CoS or your announcement for running for Congress or POTUS? Otherwise how exactly do you suggest we stop "letting" leadership get away with this? Neither of those suggestions ever had to do with physical ability (well blacks might have but that was easily disproven) and homosexuals had to do more with morale and unit cohesion. Actually both had long proven themselves in combat as actual frontline forces not augmentees or "right time wrong place" No the military doesn't need to catch up with society if it will make it weaker.

Where have you been? Yes good leadership could have, but the fact is leadership isn't and will not all of the sudden now either. Last time I checked I haven't seen any male officers claiming sexual harassment when they get passed over for upgrade or promotion.

Hey I have an idea, pick a different job! You want to be a 4 star general? well join the AF, Navy or Coast Guard, women aren't hindered in promotion in the military as a whole, just the Army and Marines, there are plenty areas for them to promote through the ranks and get combat time in other branches. FFS we just promoted the first female 4 star, our first female fighter Wing King, so I'm still calling BS in this "glass ceiling".

You missed his point, he's talking about facilities, which currently house all males, so where are the females going to sleep/shower? I've heard that about Navs also, but roger that I'll stand by for any majors or above to validate my point.

Remember you are talking to a liberal, they are a little slow on the uptake when it comes to government finances. (i.e. $16 Trillion in debt doesn't equal a spending problem or just borrow more money if you don't have enough)

Not to mention the cost of just sending them to these schools for the high number of wash outs, I mean the Marines have 100% wash out, granted there were only 3, but doesn't anyone think that the trend will change?

Because we are fucking broke, and don't need to throw money at programs that we don't need, the military isn't suffering a manning shortage or being hurt by not having women. We are in the middle of two wars, with our resources and funding being cut, now is not the time to try to change shit. If this were the '90s where we weren't at war and overstretched then sure try to integrate them, run the trails see if they can hack it. Problem is this is going to be politically dictated, and it will probably result in people getting wounded and killed. You act like they are objective people not political appointees.
