What greener pastures are there for Navs? Like what does a nav do when they get out of the military? All the navigators I've known have crossed over to other career fields.

Got a Ruger SR40C, and love it, great for concealed carry. I've put a couple hundred rounds through it and never had a problem.

Does being exonerated by the court-martial clear is Q3 or are they separate? Can he appeal it or get it reversed? -
At KEND I'm fairly positive it goes all the way to the wing king, someone else feel free to chime in a say differently.

Congrats Jared! -
The party that wants to let people keep their money because its not going make a bit of difference is the one that's wrong? Oh yeah I forgot democrats feel entitled to everyone's money.
-
Then why the fuck are the democrats so keen on raising the tax rate for the top 2%? Everybody and their brother knows that isn't going to do jack to close the deficit or reduce debt. The only explanation that makes sense is idealogical need to fix income inequality (aka "redistribute wealth").

No I'm talking abt the Sqd./WG and above leadership, that 20 years ago were either studs wearing those patches or flt/ccs that approved the wear of such patches.
-
They now have to go through PA, MEO and Legal and at least as high as the OG/CC.
-
The people that enforcing these new policies are the same people that wore or approved these patches.

Another great story from the Duffel Blog: Drone Pilot To Receive First Air Force Medal of Honor Since Vietnam https://www.duffelblog.com/2012/12/drone-pilot-to-receive-first-air-force-medal-of-honor-since-vietnam/

I want the senate dems to pass a budget to see what they actually want (put it in writing) instead of incessantly spewing talking points and rhetoric. At least we have seen the bill the republican house wants to pass (whether you like it or not).

I'm not sure where else this belongs: "Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta has denied the Navy’s request to give Sgt. Rafael Peralta the Medal of Honor, with the Pentagon telling the Marine hero’s family they were reluctant to overturn a previous secretary’s decision. Peralta died in Fallujah, Iraq, in 2004 while smothering a grenade, saving the lives of the other marines in his squad. Those Marines said Peralta, who’d been shot in the head, scooped the grenade into himself to absorb the blast. ...... In denying the medal before, the Pentagon had questioned the reliability of eyewitnesses, who said Peralta scooped the grenade to him, but disagreed on details such as which hand he had used. The Pentagon had also pointed to autopsy data that suggested he was likely dead, and probably blinded, from the gunshot to his head, which meant he could not have voluntarily scooped the grenade to him." But apparently the evidence was good enough to award him the Navy Cross. https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/dec/12/panetta-denies-medal-honor-marine-dived-grenade/?page=1

Ok your post makes more sense now. I know in Wisconsin, the bill that was passed limited collective bargaining to just wages. However "right-to-work" doesn't necessarily prohibit collective bargaining, it just means that unions can make "closed shops" and require membership and payment of dues as a condition to work. Therefore, they loose the ability to control 100% of the workers. So now new people get hired or existing employees choose not to renew their membership, the percentage of union employees decreases and the effect of a strike diminishes. Most cases I have seen when membership is no longer required people bail like rats on a sinking ship, also the reason you don't see Unions in the south where there is right to work.

During the chase, dispatchers say Herring called 911 and told them there was no emergency, and that she'd be happy to pull over in exchange for $300,000. https://www2.wbtw.com/news/2012/dec/11/6/report-myrtle-beach-woman-tries-extort-cops-during-ar-5145532/

You don't know much about the subject I take it? (like at all)

Unfortunately the wonderful liberal legislature will probably make it a "may issue" law and cost a ridiculous amount. However it is still progress in the right direction.

Guy should market it to the Air Force, would have a multi-million dollar contact overnight: https://theweek.com/article/index/237579/the-cup-that-changes-color-when-date-rape-drugs-are-present Every year, an estimated 1 million people are date raped, and many of them are victims of date-rape drugs, potent mixtures that disrupt the central nervous system. These drugs, often slipped into alcoholic beverages, can cause drowsiness, amnesia, and blackouts, and they're incredibly difficult to detect. But one startup wants to change that. The company, DrinkSavvy, is creating drinkware that changes color when date rape drugs are present, going from clear to red. Mike Abramson, DrinkSavvy's founder, was inspired to create the cups after he himself was drugged. "I was thinking that I needed to develop something that was discreet, effortless, and continuous," he says. The startup also wants to create straws and other kinds of drinking apparatuses that can help with detection. While Abramson's initiative is certainly admirable, you probably wont see these cups in your local pub any time soon. So far, DrinkSavvy has reached just $19,000 of its $50,000 goal on fundraising site Indiegogo.com. And other questions about the product remain: Just how discreet will this color-changing be? Will the cups be able to detect the many different kinds of drugs? "I worry that creepy kitchen chemists will evolve to create new drugs that can't be detected by this technology," says Laura Beck at Jezebel. "Here's hoping 'She didn't use a color-changing straw' doesn't become the new 'Did you see how she was dressed?' argument."

You get a 3 or 4 hour class on "mission planning" in T-6s which is basically fuel planning using a whiz wheel. They give you the E6B for the class and take it back when it is over, and I don't remember using it again. Everything in T-1s is CFPS and falcon view.

I agree with your sentiment but what happens when it's your lucky day for random car search? I conceal carry so I was frequently taking my handgun on and off base, now I never got searched, but still not the easiest thing to talk your way out of.
-
+1 on this, unfortunately staying on base means you have to register them, just another reason to live off base. I was reading up on the National defense act of 2011, it prohibits commanders from asking about privately owned firearms or requiring registration of them for off base housing.

https://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_WEST_POINT_PROSELYTIZING_PROTEST?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2012-12-05-18-22-25 "A cadet quitting West Point less than six months before graduation says he could no longer be part of a culture that promotes prayers and religious activities and disrespects nonreligious cadets." "Page, who is from Stockbridge, Ga., and who was accepted into West Point after serving in the Army, said he was notified Tuesday of his honorable discharge. He faces no military commitment and will not have to reimburse the cost of his education." WTF he gets 3.5 year of a college education and his life basically paid for (food, housing, stipend) and decides he wants to drop out 6 months before graduation and he just gets to walk away?

I'm still not sure what he is getting at; does he thinks a WG/CC wants to spend a Friday night playing a World of Warcraft or Skyrim LAN party with Amn Snuffy?
