    Class will start on a Tuesday, Monday will be like a day zero(admin stuff and drug test). If you arrive later on Sunday it kind of puts you behind in getting your room set up. You will arrive there and people will already be done with their rooms ready to go. I suggest you show your training office the section on the AMS site that says for you to show up on Saturday.

    Anyone from the last 8 week course remember when they had family and friends arrive in town for graduation? Wed or Thursday?

    I heard that it is not required to have and display in wall lockers but we have to wear it to the dining out... there is a place that we can rent it just off base.

    I am not sure if they are planning on publishing another letter. They may just want base training to handle the dates and not have perspective OC's continually calling trying to figure out when they are going. My dates are 18 Aug to 10 Oct. Does anyone know if we need to bring mess dress?

    Do you have a copy of the form they used for the 2000$ issue? Should be some sorta of AF form you had to sign. AF Form 1969 will get you the 400$ intial issue.

    Has anyone actually gotten a firm answer from either training or command as to what the length of the new AMS is?

    I PC'ed Sep 13 from enlisted at that point it was 1/2 your service contract before you can even apply. I dont know if it has changed in the last few months.

    I was enlisted active duty, they did my FC-1A at my base so all I need to do is swing through WP on my way to UPT for a refresher.

    Herc, My app from submitting on virtual to separation orders took around 3 months with a few calls up to AFPC from my leadership. I was told that only two people are processing PC applications for the entire AF so they are pretty backed up. Expect to wait exactly the amount of time allowed by the regulation.

    I got word from AFPC in at about 7 weeks but that was after a call to AFPC from some of my higher ups.

    hindsight, I have 10 months left... the ANG unit had me slotted for FY15 after I got off AD but called me and asked me to try and palace chase back for a FY14 slot. Hoping AFPC will look upon career progression in good light and let me go. One can only hope. They just let a guy from my shop out under voluntary separation due to the new force management incentives. I appreciate the knowledge.

    Applying for Palace Chase from AD enlisted to ANG for a UPT slot, anyone with experience doing this? Commander is 100% behind it, along with my Chief. Worried AFPC will shoot me down. Any thoughts?
