  1. The T-100 is back in the mix. https://www.defensenews.com/articles/leonardo-goes-it-alone-on-tx-bid
  2. In other news, Raytheon and Northrop both dropped out.
  3. What does a FAIP have to do with a T-1 direct? Non T-38 UPT guys go to B-2 after their first tour.
  4. U-2 crossflows come with around 1000 hours from another MWS. T-38 directs go to PIT and act as IPs. A T-1 direct wouldn't be able to go to PIT and wouldn't get the "IP" experience. At least that's the reasoning I was told.
  5. I don't think B-2s will go to T-1s since the directs usually get qual'd as T-38A IPs first to build hours.
  6. The 1st endorsement for officers should be the wing CC.
  7. It's a voluntary program.
  8. We have a TDART on our UMD. It's a GS-12 pilot position. For a 2d Lt straight out of FTU it's not a bad gig. 40 hour work weeks and controlled queep levels. Edit: It's vacant as well and we're still hiring ARTs.
  9. @CrateOfThunder just for your own sanity check, AFPC stats as of 23 Jan 17. A grand total of 0 11Fs have taken the 11F VLPAD.
  10. Your functional will have the billets.
  11. It's VLPAD now. It is title 10 so it's USERRA. I doubt you'll get the bonus. In case you haven't checked out the mypers link https://mypers.af.mil/app/answers/detail/a_id/30624/kw/VLPAD/p/16%2C17
  12. There's a T-38 TX syllabus (F-V5A-P) that qualifies non T-38 UPT guys for IFF. You can find it on here https://www.my.af.mil/etcacourses/default1.asp And in AFI 11-401 Table 2.1 line 9 & paragraph 2.3.1 you should be good to go since you did comparable training. In fact, some USAF C-130 bubbas only did navy training back when the C-12/T-44 pipeline was open. T-34 at Whiting then to Corpus. AETC A3 looks to be the final approval authority though.
  13. Look in the 11-402
  14. The engine is an unscoreable bomb.
  15. i heard Otis is going full up so we can have Texans buzzing Martha's Vineyard Edit: On a serious note, there is an official brief developed to restart UPT at Moody. The premise however was AFTER A-29's left. Since A-29's are staying now with Lebanon starting up training who knows. There were a few COAs: 1. Full T-6 Squadron only 2. 49 FTS leaves CBM and becomes split T-38 IFF/T-6. One DO over each a/c. 3. IFF squadron and T-6 squadron and OSS with a GSU Flying Training Group belonging to 14 FTW. The idea is that UPT is a full T-6 squadron (1/2 regular base production) short. Now where they planned to get the IPs, jets, parts, etc... I have no idea.
  16. Just allow the FedEx guys to log a AFTP on those contracted sorties too. Raise QoL for everyone.
  17. @cleared_hot Military One Source says this to you: "Air Force personnel are read the following additional statement regarding the Personnel Reliability Program selfreporting requirement: “As a Personnel Reliability Program certified or administrative qualified member, you are responsible to self-notify your Certifying Official of any behavior or circumstances that may or could reduce effectiveness or capability in your job performance, safety or personal reliability. This includes your physical and mental wellness, dependability, or financial or legal concerns. You are also required to self-notify prior to any health care evaluation or treatment, whether military or private that you are a Personnel Reliability Program individual. Failure to make notification may cast doubt on your reliability and violates DoD and United States Air Force policy in DoD Regulation 5210.42.”" I'm not saying they would tattle on you, but if they find out you're PRP you never know. https://download.militaryonesource.mil/12038/MOS/MOS_PPTS/MOS-SlideDeck-1_Intro.pdf
  18. Academy cadets are the baseline scores. They all have to take the AFOQT as a junior/senior on the weekend, but it doesn't count for anything for AFSC selection.
  19. https://www.kens5.com/mb/news/local/plane-crash-reported-in-mckinney/381002833 Lt Col (Ret) Gregory "Spanky" Barber, a U-2 pilot, and C4C Tim Barber died when their aircraft was struck by another allegedly doing aerobatics immediately after takeoff.
  20. Relevant note is that the 81 FS will be training the Lebanese on their US made A-29s. Moody could become Tucson ala an international b-course. https://www.acc.af.mil/News/ArticleDisplay/tabid/5725/Article/1025070/moody-selected-to-host-lebanese-a-29-training.aspx
  21. Good luck getting AFRC to give more money. ART jobs just aren't desirable like they used to be, even with superior qual/recruitment/retention bonuses. Everyone wants MPA while their apps are in at the majors .
  22. AFRC wise a Snowflake (Custom E-SSS with a bunch of tabs) is routed in TMT from the wing to the NAF to AFRC/A1 for approval. It's not particularly "hard," but time consuming.
  23. CBMs contract maintenance is horrendously understaffed on the T-6 side due to L3 underbidding the hell out of Dyncorp.
  24. I should have clarified. The plan was for them to cross flow into fighters. They could just go straight into IFF as studs.
  25. AFPC rated assignments had a plan to send 4 11M T-38 UPT instructors to cross flow into fighters (since they don't need 38 spin up). AETC/A3 non-concurred though due to no backfill plan. The 4 MAF dudes weren't selected yet.
