I would never turn down a Kadena spot. I have heard nothing but good things. Similar to Hawaii except a lot more cheap. Plus...why miss an opportunity to experience another culture, see a new part of the world. How many people do you know that have been/lived in Japan. With the current ops tempo of most squads, the high deployments, and the high usage on aircraft they probably are not going to take very many incentive rides. Go get the alt card. There is a 99% chance you will need it. Besides that, just be prepared to sit in the back, hold on, and enjoy yourself.

Incentive = ride is for you... you get to basically do what you want. Fam = you are only there for the ride. If you are one of the pukey types...then tough shit...you are there until they finish their sortie.

New to the game here... Do you have to keep your personal firearms at the armory if you live on base, or can they be kept in your house as long as you have a safe? If you do keep them in the armory is it a pain in the ass to go get them out?

Man...some of the questions that people post on here make me feel alot better about my redneck self. At least I know just to work my ass off. I guess that comes with being a redneck though.

I could be completely wrong...but I believe you will always be able to wear your badges. I do not know about the ribbons. I would thing that if they are strickly enlisted ribbons then :no:, but then again I am just guessing.

I want to fly helos. I can't think of a better mission than bringing men and women back from the brink to be with their families. If I end up actually liking pulling G's and inverted flight I hope to track A-10s. Same reasons. Pretty much AFSOC or A-10s. (AC-130, Helos, A-10s)
