You honestly believe these efforts are going to reduce the suicide rate in the military or the mass shooting incidents? The same beliefs fueled the previous Assault Weapons Ban, and guess what, it has ZERO effect! As for "it's not aimed to taking away everyone's firearms," then why is that exactly what the Democrats are proposing? I sure as fuck didn't shoot a bunch of kids, movie-goers or soldiers as Ft Hood; but all those incidents are being used as reasons why firearm ownership needs to be restricted. Forget holding the individuals who commit such acts accountable, plan the inanimate object used; or is that concept too irrational for you?

Man-Love Thursday isn't until tomorrow. Hate to break the news to you, but McChrystal's policy in Afghanistan was a failure. He risked American lives to protect Afghans that 1) didn't support our being there and 2) were not willing to defend their own country in the first place. He didn't push the ANA or the Afghan government enough to protect their own people. He didn't put them into their own fight. If they're not willing to fight for their country, why should we? That shithole of a country isn't worth one more American life wasted on it. Now he wants to disarm Americans. Fuck him.

No worries, that article has been posted on numerous gun forums; so there's tens of thousands of people on that list if there was even one...

I guess there aren't enough whore houses or goats in Las Vegas. Well, thank Allah for that! I thought 'Cherry Sweat' was the name of one of the pole dancers at Mons Venus?!?

If it would shut her the fuck up, he should take one for the home team (even though he plays for the other one!). I don't see why he would mind anyway, she looks like a transvestite!

Agreed, especially since there is a separate thread on it. Anyone looking for the posts HerkFE is referring to can find them here: Liberty, Rights, and The Constitution Now back to the midgets with three titties!

All this geek-speak makes me wonder what ever happened to Masshole? She's not been on here for nearly two months, did Rainman finally scare her away?!?

Henley-Putnam is nationally accredited, which is good enough for me. As you may or may not remember, I got my second masters from American Military University. I really liked that school but they don't offer any doctorates at the moment. I wasn't really looking to get my doctorate until I was recently contacted by someone at Henley-Putnam concerning another matter As I stated, my applying all depends on my getting sponsorship from my company. Oddly enough, most of my PhD buds actually don't recommend getting a doctorate unless I plan to move into academia at some point (which I have no plans of doing, despite being offered a job to teach after I got my first masters). However, my company might be willing to foot the bill as they did with my second grad degree as it would serve their interests as well as mine. Thanks for the Colorado Tech link, it's interesting but the Henley-Putnam program better suits my professional needs at the moment. If I hear any more about it, I'll let you know. Cheers! M2

Does anyone have any experience with Henley-Putnam University? They offer a doctorate in Strategic Security that I might be interested in if I can get my company to pony up the $36K but to be honest I don't know much about them. From what I've found, they seem similar to American Military University, where I got my second masters from. They are also a participating university in the AU Associate to Baccalaureate Cooperative (AU-ABC). They also seem to get pretty good reviews (9.5/10 with 34 reviews), but I would like to hear from anyone who has firsthand experience with them, or even secondhand if they original source is reliable... Cheers! M2

There's two sides to the panic buy, read this great synopsis of what Feinstein proposes and you will understand what has got a lot of gun owners spooked. It's not only a proposed national firearms registry, but also a ban on selling any weapons listed in the ban. That could seriously undercut the value of a lot of guns, you don't know what they're worth unless someone has sold one similar. And it's not just ARs and AKs, as that article states this law could in fact ban most modern handguns and rifles! I think Feinstein won't find support for such a drastic proposal, she's gone far beyond what was initially conceived and Obama has already washed his hands of the whole affair by tossing it on Biden's lap. As Buddy Spike said, in a few weeks this horrible incident will be a distant memory in most American's goldfish-sized memories. So while my collection still lies deep in the Gulf of Mexico, I do believe it will arise one day like the phoenix from the ashes. Thank God that idiots like Feinstein actually believe the rest of the world thinks like she does, as it is that misconception that keeps the possibility of a ban actually happening to a minimum. If she actually had a brain, she wouldn't have proposed something so drastic, and could have actually stood a chance of getting it approved. With such ridiculous proposals, I do think it is doomed. If not, I am happy that all that cosmoline will keep my collection from rusting! Cheers! M2

I might even go deep sea diving in the Gulf of Mexico and retrieve all of my lost firearms...

Thank God there's no firearms registration in Texas, and CHL information is protected from public release by law... And yet another reason not to live in that shit hole called New York...
