"No Easy Day" - Book revealing details about Bin Laden Raid (Neptune Spear)
Not a lot of notable landmarks in that area that the majority of Americans would know of, heck I would be surprised if many people in this country could even find Afghanistan or Pakistan on a map. I think it was just a general reference for those types, as I doubt Jalalabad or even Islamabad would register. But for the most part Abbotabad is about 230 miles due east of Kabul...

Here's a brief excerpt to demonstrate the aforementioned writing style... As I said, not badly written and very detailed. Looks to be a hit! (pun intended). Cheers! M2- "No Easy Day" - Book revealing details about Bin Laden Raid (Neptune Spear)
Got a copy of chapters 15 & 16 from a source I cannot disclose, obviously this is just a small portion (16 pages) of the overall book but in them is a very detailed description of the mission once the team got inside the house. The writing is very businesslike, no excessive bravado or chest-thumping as expected. Included were graphics of the three levels of the building. Now, is the information I read a disclosure of classified or sensitive information? Hard to say, but given the level of detail I would say so. No wonder the higher-up are pissed, and someone's ass is definitely going to end up in the fire for this one. But also based on what I've read it appears that it will be a good book and worth the money. Looks like I'll be downloading it on my Kindle this evening. Cheers! Watched The Three Stooges on the flight to Japan and honestly, and it actually wasn't half bad! I didn't have high expectations, but found it entertaining and somewhat true to the original Stooges. Considering all the horrible remakes as of late, this one is worth watching via Netflix or Redbox... As a bonus, there are small roles by Kate Upton (although Sofía Vergara is hotter and has less of a mustache) and Larry David of Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm fame... Cheers! M2- WTF? (**NSFW**)

Downloaded Chester Wong's (pen name) first two books for free to my Kindle courtesy of Amazon.com for my trip to Yokota last week... He's a West Point grad Special Forces officer-turned-writer; but it is one of the most entertaining, honest and humble books you will ever read by an Army snake-eater! It's not the superman novel you'd expect (check the byline), this guy actually spends more talking about his failures and shortcomings than anything else . He has a great sense of humor and isn't afraid to tell the truth about his life as a SF officer, warts and all. Highly recommended, I've finished the first and have started on the second, and can't wait for the third edition to come out! More about Wong and his books on his website. Cheers! M2- WTF? (**NSFW**)

OK, there's threads on taking vehicles to Germany and the UK, so unless you're going somewhere else I strongly suggest you find and read them. If you're going to either of the aforementioned countries, than you had better learn quickly how to or your experiences on this forum will get painful really quick. But, since I'm in a generous mood this evening, you are "aloud" to ship a second POV to Europe on your own dime. I did so when we went to Belgium in 2002. It's not cheap, and you have to take into consideration that every major US base in Europe has a "lemon lot" where you're usually able to pick up a good deal on a second vehicle, many times a local specs one. So unless your second car is something you really can't live without, it might be cheaper to sell it and buy a second one over there. Last recommendation, go look up the word "allowed" in a dictionary...- Fast Times At Ridgemont High 30th Anniversary
