It doesn't matter, since when does chanting "USA USA" constitute racism? And exactly what "race" are we talking about? That's what people chanted when we beat the Russians in hockey at the 1980 Winter Olympics (well, those of us who were alive back then), why wasn't it insulting then?!? By the way, what didn't get reported was that the visiting team's supporters were chanting "Alamo Whites" earlier (the home team is Alamo Heights). Of course, I guess that's allowed even though in San Antonio there's a Hispanic majority. For the most part there has never been any real "racial tensions" in SA, but recently a high school in Devine (SW of SA) filed a complaint with the Feds because the girl's volleyball team had a disproporational amount of whites on it, and now this bullshit. It's all fucking ridiculous...

Picking this up for $375 on Wednesday... It's a Colt Trooper Mk III .357 with a 6" barrel, I figured it would make a great companion piece for the 1954 Colt .357 Magnum I have have that was my father's. I've also got a Ruger GP100 with the original grips... Cheers! M2

9 Rota (a.k.a. the Russian version of Platoon) is a popular movie amongst the AK community, I have it on DVD in Russian (don't buy the dubbed over version!). It's a good movie but honestly The Beast (a.k.a The Beast of War) is much better movie. Of course, then there's Rambo III... Cheers! M2

Yeah, I passed on it. However, I did get a nice gift today. An Army buddy of mine, brought me an AK bayonet that was picked up in Iraq. It turned out to be a Russian Tula Type II AKM bakelite, which are some of the nicest ones around. The fact that this was was brought back from Iraq makes it even more cool. So this week's acquisitions include that bayonet, a Bosnian/Croatian two-rib magazine, a pair of Yugoslav dog tags and a nice Russian calendar card with General Kalashnikov's picture on the other side. So I didn't get the 6.8mm SPC AR-15, but it was still a good week and there is a gun show this weekend... Cheers! M2

T-bonez I agree, I stopped by a local gun shop with a buddy (he needed some advice on a potential purchase, plus he baited me in saying they had AKs for sale there!) and I checked on the price of 6.8mm ammo. It's $25+ for 20 rounds! I've also had an AR expert I know tell me it was a bit more than what he'd pay. I think I'm gonna pass. I've been contemplating an AR in 7.62x39 but I've heard they're prone to issues. I think I'm gonna stick with that I know best (and what I have a lot of ammo stocked up for), AKs, SKS, Mosins, etc... I've got an AR custom builder locally (Alex of Dreadnaught Industries) if I need some help, I'm still kinda on the fence about this rifle especially considering my limited knowledge of ARs and the 6.8mm SPC round... Cheers! M2

Anyone have any firsthand experience with the 6.8mm SPC round? I have a chance to pick up the following rifle for $825... Details... As most of you know, I am not an AR guy; but from what I've heard from a few folks who are this round is the latest/greatest thing in the community. Cheers! M2

Keep it in perspective... So some dipshit academic or liberal lawyer decided to nominate the idiot. 191 individuals were submitted, that doesn't mean the committee will pick him. Of course, this is the same organization that gave one to Obama for...well....something (no one seems to know what). It's pretty much a worthless distinction, remember that Jimmy Carter and Al Gore have "won" it as well... Plus, when that little shithead ends up in FPMITA prison, it won't do him much good.

I will shit wherever/whenever I want! Jesus, what in the fuck is going on with the Air Force these days? Barring someone from using the bathroom? I don't know whether to laugh or be thoroughly disgusted that some nubnut SNCO actually thinks this is a solution to a problem. Thank God I was in during the days when a Chief's primary duty was to try to drink everyone under the table! Of course, back then they also smoked, cussed, had flattops and liked to chase tail (of the female variety). I guess it's all gone completely PC now... You guys have my sympathy. Cheers! M2
