  1. It needs to be Desantis and Vivek! And fuck Trump! I hope to God it doesn't end up being him vs. Biden; but if it does, I will begrudgingly vote for the slightly-lesser idiot...
  2. As far as I am concerned, outside being a noble gesture, a third-party vote is a waste. I hope Trump doesn't run on the Republican ticket, but if it ends up being him vs. Biden, I'll hold my nose and vote for the Orange Man as he's far better for our economy that the confused old guy wandering into walls. It boils down to the fact that Trump has a few positive attributes (the aforementioned economic acumen, an America-first attitude, and that's about all I can think of at this point in the afternoon), whereas Biden has absolutely zero qualities I want in a president. I will admit to being spoiled, as the first presidential election I participated in had Ronald Reagan as a candidate. That was an easy choice!
  3. What we used to refer to as "kinderschnitzel!" 😉

94 days waiting on my eForm 1 approval as of yesterday, so I reached out to the ATF via email and surprisingly, I got a reply... "Your background is in a delayed status with the FBI" Well, that could mean a myriad of things! First, I hope it simply means the FBI is constipated with all the background checks it is having to conduct surrounding this debacle of a ruling from the ATF concerning AR pistols, but I've known several others who have gotten their approvals in half that time! Honestly, I still hope that is the case as I was cleared for my first TS over four decades ago, ]been vetted by the FBI at least twice for programs I've been involved with them over the past ten years, and have also been cleared by numerous state and municipal agencies and organizations for other activities and operations. I also hold a TX LTC, which allows me to bypass the NICS check when purchasing firearms from a FFL. Another issue is I have a fairly common first and last name, but with the other PII requested with my application, that shouldn't an issue; but according to the ATF, it can be! Regardless, ATF Final Rule 2021R-08F is a complete clusterfuck. Anyone who claims we are getting a "free" SBR obviously isn't be subjected to the process to do so. Plus, fingerprint cards alone cost me $60 (from the same local LE agency I volunteer with, for what it's worth). Still, I am taking advantage of this "offer" even though I know I will eventually have to transfer the NFA item to a trust as under this current method where trusts cannot be involved, there is too much risk as to what happens to my SBR if/when I pass away... Simply put, the ATF, the NFA of 1934 and GCA of 1968 all need to go away. They are pointless and don't protect a single citizen with their unconstitutional mandates and restrictions which haven't reduced criminal acts one iota!
  9. The first thing I would do is abolish the ATF!
  10. Hmmmm....
  11. The woman that ran up to help was her mother... "The incident is real, but it is not new. The tiger attack happened in 2016, at China’s Badaling Wildlife World. The incident occurred at a tiger safari park where visitors can drive through and view various exotic animals in a more natural setting. The 32-year-old woman, identified only by her surname, Zhao, reportedly got out of her car after an argument with her husband. Security camera footage captured the moment a tiger pounced on her, dragging her away from the vehicle. In the video, we can see that Zhao steps out of the right side of the car, walks around the front of the car, and opens the left-side door. Then, startled, she looks behind her and within seconds, a huge tiger pounces on her, dragging her out of view of the camera. A man jumps out of the car, looks confused and tries to run after the woman. A woman – the woman’s mother jumps out of the rear seat and runs after the tiger and her daughter. We do not know exactly what happened afterward, but Zhao escaped (maybe because her mother distracted the tiger). Zhao’s 57-year-old mother, surnamed Li , however was attacked by another tiger when she was outside and seriously injured. We can see park rangers arriving at the scene in the video immediately aftewards, but Li died from her injuries before medical help could be provided." 86 days* on my eForm 1 as of today, still no approval. Beginning to think the ATF is fucking with me! As of 3 July 2023, their website said the average was 40 days! 🤬🤬🤬 * - 86 days, a.k.a... 7,430,400 seconds 123,840 minutes 2064 hours 12 weeks and 2 days 23.56% of 2023
  15. Given the performance and focus of the current CJCS and SecDef, it shouldn't get any worse (but it still will!)... Brown falls right in line with the "progressive" movement in the DoD, just as the CNO nomination and "Admiral" Levine... Bottom line: It doesn't matter what we think.
  16. Loved my career, even despite the shitty parts of which there were plenty, and I'm especially thankful for all the great people I met along the way. Not sure if I would make the same decision now as I did 40+ years ago though...
  17. Enjoy life when you're young and not broke either physically, mentally or financially!
  18. That's a great movie! 🤣🤣🤣
  19. Completely speculative, but I wonder if my state commission would prevent me from being activated Federally as a retiree? The federal government recognizes state defense forces, as per the Compact Clause of the U.S. Constitution, under 32 U.S.C. §109 which provides that state defense forces as a whole may not be called, ordered, or drafted into the armed forces of the United States, thus preserving their separation from the National Guard. However, under the same law, individual members serving in the state defense force are not exempt from service in the armed forces (i.e., they are not excluded from the draft). Under 32 USC §109(e), "A person may not become a member of a defense force ... if he is a member of a reserve component of the armed forces." And just to throw some gasoline on this dumpster fire...
