I've been contemplating it for years, and unfortunately the lawyer I was going to used passed away suddenly which has only delayed any decision to get one even more. Your three factors are mine as well, a good can is not overly expensive but not cheap either. Prices have been dropping which is an incentive, but not to the point where I would pull the trigger mainly because... Point #2. The ATF turnarounds have only slowed even more thanks to COVID. It used to be six months for a Form 1 approval and tax stamp, but I hear it's been a lot worse since the Chinese flu hit. Which brings me to... Point #3. Between my 03 FFL (C&R) and renewing my Texas LTC, the government has more info about my firearms than I care for it to have. I am not paranoid, but with the usual talks of greater firearms restrictions under the Biden administration I am concerned. The same thing happened with Obama, so I am not too worried about it; but it only takes another mass shooting for things to get even uglier for gun owners. The Federal government has ignored the Second Amendment enough as it is, and it can only get worse. I prefer it know as little about my inventory as possible. But the biggest factor in all this is, is it worth it? Honestly, unless you are shooting a .22 with subsonic ammo; suppression isn't what most people think (i.e. "silencers"). I am sure you are aware that a suppressor greatly reduces the report of a firearm, but it's still very audible unless using smaller rimfire ammo. I think the novelty of a suppressor would wear off quickly. I've shot several and while it was fun, I really don't see having a long drawn-out love affair with it. And many of those I know who have suppressors don't actually shoot theirs too often. That is probably why I've put it off so long, I suspect the infatuation wears off quickly...

She's out!

Agreed, but she voluntarily played a role in the matter and should be held accountable just as he was...

Brit oops! But this was the best bit! p.s. The backstory... "On Tuesday, a Chinook from 28 Squadron based at RAF Benson made a precautionary landing in a field near Wantage following a mechanical issue. Unfortunately, the aircraft soon sank into the field, likely due to the extended period of wet weather that we’ve been experiencing recently. Our engineers deployed to the site to assess the mechanical issue and this has now been fixed; however, the extremely soft ground has made the recovery of the Chinook to RAF Benson very difficult. A tri-Service team of specialists is working hard to safely extract the aircraft from the mud. While it was hoped that it could simply be dug out and then flown home, the risk of damage to the aircraft from this course of action has been assessed as significant and alternative options are being explored, including potentially lifting it from the mud with a crane. We hope to have the aircraft home by the end of the week. We are extremely thankful to the landowners for their understanding and support during this work, particularly the kindness they’ve shown to our team guarding the aircraft during some very cold nights."

I know it's a bit early, and hopefully most of this will be forgotten by October; but if anyone is looking for a Halloween costume...

Anyone who thinks this was a "coup attempt" needs to turn off the television and go oxygenate their gray matter a bit! It was simply a shit storm circus complete with a ringmaster and a full compliment of clowns on both sides. So, what is the road ahead? To be honest, there is a huge opportunity for the Democrats here that I doubt they'll take advantage of because they were just as involved in all this as Trump. I am sure they'll use this to push ridiculous, un-Constitutional legislation as much like the GOP, they have no real vision. Or, more preferably but less likely, they could make a real effort to unite this country but not taking advantage of this modern day equivalent of burning down the Reichstag to advance their absurd agenda for the next two years. Even Obama was smart enough to know to pick his battles, but honestly I am not sure Biden is that acute to such matters. Laying blame solely on one side or the other is the antithesis of "woke" (an overused term by those who think they are more "enlightened" than others, and are mostly wrong about it). Anyone who thinks this was a true coup attempt has swallowed too much misinformation from the media (the third guilty party in this shit show). Biden has a real opportunity to prove he can lead this country better than his predecessor, but I'm not placing much hope in that nor would I in Trump had he won. This country has been paralyzed by both political parties and despite attempts to muster up a third option, that simply isn't going to happen. I don't want to be a pessimist, but there's really not much "hope" to hope for! God help us all!

OK, who called it?!? 🤣🤣🤣

That's from a Who song with a very ironic title!

I think it's already on eBay!

Not arguing that Trump isn't the instigator in today's acts, and it's a shit move on his part (but not unexpected); but there were a lot of elected officials who sat on their asses and allowed the BLM, ANTIFA and other "protests" to occur...
-
Same could be claimed for what's going on today, as evident below; but we all know we're being fed BS when it comes to "news" reporting...
-
Abso-fucking-lutely!
-
Y'all can have it...
-
No, what's happening in DC right now is not right or justified; but calling this "protesting" wasn't either!
-
Do people really believe the GOP wanted Trump to be re-elected?

The flying wing design isn't necessarily something new...
