Family of Airman Killed in Japan Osprey Crash Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit Scrutiny of the military's Osprey aircraft is ramping up as family members of an Air Force special operations airman who was killed in a crash last year have filed a civil wrongful death lawsuit against the aircraft's manufacturers, and members of Congress are demanding that officials ground the troubled aircraft and change the culture of secrecy around its issues. Staff Sgt. Jacob Galliher, 24, was one of eight airmen killed during a training mission on Nov. 29, 2023, when their CV-22 Osprey, call sign Gundam 22, had a mechanical issue and crashed off the southern coast of Japan. His estate filed the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas on Friday -- the one-year anniversary of the crash. The lawsuit named Boeing and Bell Textron, the manufacturers of the aircraft, as well as Universal Stainless and Alloy Products, a subcontractor that provided metal for the aircraft's gearbox, which an internal investigation has implicated in the crash. The lawsuit alleges those companies "had prior awareness of the high risk for crashes, including documented concerns with the alloy manufacturing for pinion gears in the aircraft's gearbox," Galliher's estate said in an emailed statement... Apples and oranges. Kushner served 2/3rds of his sentence, how much is Hunter going to serve? And his tax evasion was between $200,000 and $325,000. Hunter Biden's was $1.4 million. Kushner has made significant charitable contributions over the years. His philanthropic efforts include donations to organizations such as Saint Barnabas Medical Center and United Cerebral Palsy. Hunter's a drug user who lied about it when purchasing a firearm. Biden gave his son blanket immunity from any Federal crime committed over a 11-year period. If anyone honestly thinks that's OK, then they really need to step away from society until reality sets back in! The Bidens are making the Clintons and Obamas look like Girl Scouts!

I do see it, but to be honest I am not sure a post-game celebration on an opponent's field justifies a physical altercation on anyone's part! At first I wasn't happy about it, then I figured if FSU wants to steal sod from the end zone after a road victory, then they should expect (and extend) the same when they are the losers at home! Trust me, as a Gator I know losing sucks as I've had much more than my fair share of it! I also see they hypocrisy of FSU getting upset when UF did the exact same thing they did in the Swamp last year! No, we weren't happy when that happened; and yes, it did motivate us to "return the favor!" So, they need to admit they pretty much brought this on themselves. The saddest part of all was to see that the Seminoles had so much fight left in them when it would have been better applied during the game!

I know exactly what they are doing, and am well familiar with their "sod cemetery" (that "tradition" is even older than I am, and was started by some guy named Dean Coyle Moore [no relation!!]). The point is FSU feels it's OK to do this when they win, but whine like crazy when it's done to them. It's pure hypocrisy! FSU should have left the field after the post-game handshakes (which Norvell eventually did but only after looking like a giant crybaby!) and let the Gators relish in their victory! After Florida State's victory over Florida in Gainesville last year, tensions escalated but it didn't result in a full-scale attack. There were some heated exchanges between players, but it didn't result in a significant altercation! Of course, I expect nothing less from this clown! Note Norvell had a lot less L's in his name back then! 🤣🤣 🤣 I am sure the upcoming flood of player transfers is also part of the frustration (it's only going to get worse on 9 December)... Plus Norvell's huge $65 million contract buyout!! He signed a 10-year contract extension worth over $84 million in January 2024, then went 2-10! I know you have a deep hatred for UF football, but you cannot blame what happened in Tallahassee on the Gators!

I saw a documentary years ago claiming McCoy was the likely culprit. If I recall correctly, his wife at the time claimed he was home eating dinner at the time of the first hijacking; a story she later recanted...

Great entry-to-mid level stuff, more than capable for 90% of people who aren't trying to be SEAL Team Six! The also have a reputation for excellent customer service. As for KelTec, I'd steer clear based on past experience.

Makes me wonder how many on here actually ate these (besides myself!) And the grease on the bottom of the cardboard carton is very telling!!

Been following them for years, always great stuff!! 👍

How "deep in the fight" is she as a grad student at GT?!? 🤬🤬🤬 https://sites.gatech.edu/cereal/people/joy-metzler/ I'm all for granting her wish, after she pays back the $416,000 her USAFA degree cost taxpayers plus the $57,600 worth of monthly stipends she got while at the Zoo, as well as whatever government money has been spent on her graduate degree! And if there was ever a good argument against beards in uniform, these clowns personify it!

Shit just got upped a notch... Russia reportedly launched an inter-continental ballistic missile (ICBM) on Ukraine, marking the first combat use of the weapon since its inception almost six decades ago. Moreover, Moscow used the Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicles (MIRV) technology to target "critical infrastructure" in Ukraine's Dnipro, the first-ever use of the technology too. ICBMs have a range of over 5,500 kilometers and are built to carry nuclear, chemical and biological warheads. It can also carry a conventional warhead, which Russia reportedly used on the RS-26 Rubezh, ballistic missile. The missile was launched from the Astrakhan region of Russia, over 1,000 km away from the damage site in Ukraine. Videos have surfaced on social media and Telegram handles, where at least warheads re-entering and targeting infrastructure in Ukraine. Russia has "denied to comment" on the launch of ICBMs though Kyiv has confirmed its use. Source: Russia's Firing Of ICBM On Ukraine Is Weapon's 1st Combat Use In History

Now that Matt Gaetz has withdrawn from the AG nomination, there were several other names Trump may considered for the position: Sen. Mike Lee: A Republican senator from Utah, known for his close work with the Trump administration and his support for challenging the 2020 election results. John Ratcliffe: Former Director of National Intelligence and a staunch defender of Trump during the Mueller investigation. Jeffrey Clark: A former assistant attorney general who was involved in efforts to challenge the 2020 election results. Judge Aileen Cannon: A U.S. District Judge appointed by Trump, known for her rulings in favor of Trump in the classified documents case. Mike Davis: A former clerk for Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch and a vocal defender of Trump. Mark Paoletta: A former Trump administration member and counsel to a House committee. Each of these candidates has a strong connection to Trump and his policies.

No, the ATF should be the first to go!

Loyalty is a one-way road for Trump. And CH is on target. Trump wasn't the best option, but I would hate to think what direction this country would have gone had Harris won... I am not sure if Trump's methods will work, but I definitely see the need to change things!

California...what else needs to be said? 😒😒 In Texas. we would have shot the fucking bear! 4 charged with insurance fraud after allegedly dressing as bears to damage cars Four people were arrested Wednesday in connection with insurance fraud when they claimed a bear damaged their car, but it was really a person in a bear costume, the California Department of Insurance said. The suspects filed a claim with their insurance company, saying a bear got into their car, a 2010 Rolls-Royce Ghost, at Lake Arrowhead on Jan. 28, 2024, and damaged the inside with scratches. The insurance department said the suspects provided a video to the company, which showed the "bear" in the car... (full story at title link)

I voted early, but the wife waited until Election Day. I walked down to the polling place with her and for a split second I was tempted to see if I could vote again, but the prospect of being fined up to $10,000 and imprisoned for up to five years (or both, per Title 52 of the United States Code, Section 10307(e)) and even worse the possibility of having to give up my arsenal as a convicted felon (I'm not a politician, so I wouldn't have been able to get away with it!) was an effective deterrent! But honestly, I do suspect there was a chance they would have let me do so...

It doesn't have leaders like MG William Zana... An Army general’s final ‘walk’ at the Tomb of the Unknowns MG William Zana, the only guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to reach the rank of general, took a final guard shift on the night he retired. At exactly 10 p.m. on the warm, last night of May, MG William Zana received his orders and began his final guard shift on the smooth marble stone plaza at the center of Arlington National Cemetery. In two hours it would be midnight, a new day and new month. A new guard would relieve him at his post, he would march off the plaza and suddenly, instantly, be a civilian. But for the final two hours of his 37-year career, Zana wanted one last chance to stand a shift he had held as a young sergeant: keeping watch over the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. “I was Pvt. Zana when I showed up to the Old Guard,” Zana told Task & Purpose.“You know, all of us who raise our right hand and serve, there’s things that define you. First combat tour, first loss of personnel. For me, volunteering for and serving at the Tomb was absolutely both defining and shaping.” (Full story at the title link) I don't know the man, nor do I know much about his career other than what I read in his bio; but based on this article, I have the utmost respect for him!
