Sorry, the spammer was from Mumbai and has been deleted and banned. I also changed his password and blocked his email and IP address. Since this thread is 11+ years old, I should note that many years ago I not only found my buddy (he lives up in Fargo, ND) and was able to not only connect him with the guy that was with his father when he died, but also with his long-lost brother. That said, this thread is now officially closed (and locked.- Is it ok for a MSgt to tell a Capt to take out the garbage?

So it looks like it's not going to be the "Striker" after all! ๐บ๐บ๐บ- Is it ok for a MSgt to tell a Capt to take out the garbage?
The answer is--or at least was during my time--no, a MSgt cannot tell a captain to take out the trash. A MSgt can ask or remind a captain to take out the trash, but if I were still a captain and a MSgt told me to take out the trash, we would have a very short one-sided sidebar. But I have been retired going on 14 years, and things have definitely changed since I was in...- B-21 Raider
Ever try to get parts for a 1964 model year car versus a 2019 one? There's approximately 1400-1500 Hornets flying today, the USAF retired its last EF-111A twenty-one years ago.- Is it ok for a MSgt to tell a Capt to take out the garbage?

ADMIN NOTE: Well, the bad news is that I didn't get an email notification of your reply, so something's up with the forum software. If you don't mind, could you start a thread about the problem under the AFTO-781 section of the forum so it will be "officially addressed?" Unfortunately, I can't promise when it will be fixed. We're due for an update that may take a couple of days to occur, but those are usually for security issues so don't be surprised if nothing changes after it. I ask for an appreciate your patience as we figure out what's going on...- Upcoming Boards
ADMIN NOTE: I have no idea what the issue is, but I never subscribe to threads in the first place. However, I just signed up for this one to see if I get the notifications, and if there is an issue, we will pass it on to the software folks.- US official: Pensacola shooting suspect was Saudi AF officer
LCDR Tim White wasn't charged; but as for any decoration if he indeed got one (and he should have!), I am sure the USN keep that on the down-low! https://www.stripes.com/source-no-charges-against-navy-officer-for-weapons-violations-in-chattanooga-attack-1.361644 He did get a key to the city of Chattanooga, and a day named after him! https://www.wrcbtv.com/story/35359917/lt-cmdr-tim-white-relieved-during-change-of-command-ceremony The six that fell or were injured also (eventually) received Purple Hearts.- B-21 Raider

Unless those are Federal buildings, there is no prohibition against carrying in them. In fact, here is the Texas Military Department Directive (Number 5210.01) signed by MG John Nichols, Texas Adjutant General, that authorizes carry on and in Texas Military Department installations and facilities... https://tmd.texas.gov/Data/Sites/1/media/tmdpolicies/2018/tmdd-5210_01-privately-owned-firearms.pdf- US official: Pensacola shooting suspect was Saudi AF officer
That is, hypothetically speaking, based on the belief that people actually abide by the insane base policy (it's not Federal law no matter how many people claim it is, read 18 U.S. Code ยง930). Here in Texas, I suspect there are one or two that don't (again, hypothetically speaking). The Lone Star State does things right! The DoD could learn from it. By the way, in case you didn't notice, open carry is allowed on Texas state military installations while not in uniform!- B-21 Raider
Not to turn this into an Aussie F-111 thread, but here's a good article from a while back on why they should have retained them...as well as a lot of other articles on the same topic. https://www.ausairpower.net/pig.html Notice the file name! ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ- NFL Ratings are Way Down
