Why are you linking back to this thread?!? Just bustin' on ya! Here's the real link... https://sgammo.com/product/golden-tiger/1000-rds-762x39-fmj-bt-golden-tiger-124-grain-ammo-limit-5-cases-day Why does it say "100000 or more?!?" Anyhow, I am sufficiently hoarded up on 7.62x39, must resist the urge to buy even more just because the prices are dropping! That is an awesome price, and SGAmmo are great to deal with! Cheers! M2

How could you not recognize this?!?

Doubtful, if anything it only demonstrates the uselessness of the gun control measures (similar to the ones currently in California) proposed by she-whose-name-will-not-be-spoken... A legitimate argument could be made that armed, law-abiding citizens could have defended themselves from this criminal and possibly even stopped his killing spree from spreading as far as it did. Gun control laws don't get rid of illegal guns nor do they disarm criminals.

No, there were issues with some posts in it so it was taken offline until such time as it can be cleaned up.

I am sure there are exceptions, but throughout my career the Air Force only paid for the movement of one vehicle. When we PCS'd to Belgium, I paid to ship our second vehicle as it made more sense than to sell it and buy another car. That said, I never had any major problem shipping vehicles. Depending on where you are now, you might consider leaving the second vehicle behind and picking it up on your way to the West Coast. Obviously that's not the best option if you're in the Northeast, but since I doubt you're gonna convince the USAF to pay to move your second car, if it's further west than that may be your best plan...

I'm calling BS on this one... Navy SEAL 'Warrior Princess' Comes Out

I did that to several overseas assignments and back with a large (1100cc) sport-touring bike. Most movers packed the bike up in its own container, and I only experienced nominal damage to the bike. Just be sure to let them know beforehand so they'll have a crate and enough padding for it...

It's being looked into, but I have not heard any updates on how that is going...

Thanks, brother! It was really bad here, I was doing a police volunteer patrol out of the North substation off of Jones-Maltsberger and my usual 30-minute drive took over two hours and routed me through Bulverde and north of Fair Oaks Ranch! We had bad roadway flooding over off of 281 south of the airport, the Olmos basin area (not surprisingly); but I made it home safe (obviously) as did everyone else (thankfully!). I've got a pistol-gripped Mossberg Persuader loaded with 3" 00-buckshot Magnum shells in it, as if I have to use it in a HD situation I want it able to shoot through walls, furniture, etc. It's a motherfucker to shoot but it definitely gets the job done. There is no "two to the chest, one to the head" tactics involved, just CoM aiming (mine has a laser on it) and let that mother rip! Anyone who takes that blast to the chest ain't getting up! I take it to the range every now and then just to remind myself what a bitch it is to shoot, but the thing is muy muy bueno in doing what I need it to do!

Anyone looking for the barracks lawyer discussions that have been cluttering up this my favorite thread, they've been moved to the 'Liberty, Rights, and The Constitution' thread as HeloDude suggested. That endless debate can continue there, this thread is focused on more interesting topics such as actual firearms, ammo and accessories...

Thanks, I'll check tomorrow. They post a link to the archives.

It's been a while, but I could've sworn that one of the daily CSAF Ops Updates included mishap rates. Anyone know if there is a specific day of the week that info is briefed?

I wonder when the First Earth Squadron will stand up?

Both the 16 SOS and 81 FS have also commissioned 1911s from Kimber in the past, the following pics of the former were posted by CH earlier in this thread...

This is the first report of this happening, but I passed it on to the guys who do our tech support and hopefully they will be able to figure it out. I'll let you know. Cheers! M2

Only one thing that interests me in that movie...

Unfortunately, I've not be able to find any decent deals on anything besides ammo and a few accessories lately; but not for lack of trying. Also, I've got a 15-yr-old who gets his full license next month, so I'm preparing for the shock of adding him to our insurance policy. Plus, through some good fortune, I found an excellent deal on a fully loaded (all power, leather, moonroof, allow wheels, etc) 2005.5 VW Jetta that we bought for him. It was going to be a challenge finding a car that we thought was safe and that he liked, but we got a home run out on this one. It's a beautiful and nice-driving car. Additionally, I just had to drop cash on airline tickets for the wife and boys to visit her family this summer. Right now I am on the hunt for a few firearms-related items, those being... 1) Beretta Neos Carbine Kit: 2) A Yugo M70A (a 9x18 version of my beloved M57): 3) A Zastava PA M92PV (especially if I SBR my Draco using the Vz58 sidefolding stock I posted about earlier): All worthy of being dropped over the boat into the Gulf of Mexico! Cheers! M2

Just got home from seeing Hangover III, definitely on par with the first two. Worth the price of admission. Tip: Don't immediately leave when the credits start rolling. Cheers! M2

Yep...three shots in one second, and all tens... Here ya go... Wounding Ballistics But to be honest I disagree with Fackler, who claims that the wound channel created by tumble and yaw is only temporary and/or not that effective. Everything I have seen shows that is more likely to cause severe wounding than a fast, smaller projectile going through the body. I want a round that damages as many internal organs as possible, which, according to the FBI, will be the larger one. Of course, according to George Clooney in Three Kings, your biggest concern is sepsis!

Agreed, it's not "knockdown" but "wounding effect." And per a FBI study, all other factors being equal, "given desirable and reliable penetration, the only way to increase bullet effectiveness is to increase the severity of the wound by increasing the size of hole made by the bullet. Any bullet which will not penetrate through vital organs from less than optimal angles is not acceptable. Of those that will penetrate, the edge is always with the bigger bullet." On a separate note, this is way cool: Test Drive A Makarov And on a different separate note, anyone else notice these new "diversion bags" from Blackhawk? Not a bad idea. Cheers! M2
