  1. ...says future CSAF. Cooter
  2. . You know I can remember a day when I just walked up and said, "I'm going home, is that cool?" Yeah and it just happened. Shit has changed in the last few years. The Deid is gay as a bag of smashed assholes. I hate it, you hate it, we all hate it. Fnck it drive on!!!!!!!!!! Coot
  3. I know in ROTC we had an ingredient for each war/conflict. Cognac/Soju/etc.. Make it happed bro, although I'm sure there was some saurkraut and all that was added. Grog is waht you make it. When you go up to pour you offering in don't drink half the bottle...trust me. Cooter
  4. You know Canadien beers' like moonshine...come on! Coot
  5. Watch out for the killer snails/crabs/etc. whatevr the hell they are! Coot
  6. Work with the GR-9 blokes in AFG. Those guys are shiite hot and are ready and willing to employ. OIF is what I a assume you are talking about and the ROE sets the tone. Different theatre different story. The same can be said for Brit JTACs, WWs are the heat and have worked with them a lot. It's all in who is controlling/ROE/etc. that dictates what gets dropped and so on. I know there were a lot of BOne bubbas who were sour over a "certain" US JTAC but the show goes on, some days are beter than others. Coot
  7. ...although the silver lining is I get to fly tonight. Cooter
  8. Depending on what ASE position you get and train for will detemine what systems you'll work with. Although over time the good ASE's I've flown with have known their job and parts of the others if they were't already qualified in another seat. ASE's are shit hot dudes (girls too) and I've seen the solder, tape, glue whatever it takes to get those jets and their systems up and running. Good luck at the FTU there's some shit hot instructors up there that I have flown with for a lot of years. Cooter

    Gun Talk

Uhhhh, no. What is this...Russia??????????? Hell I just found out you could ship a gun fedex with ZERO hassle and I mean zero. Other than having to tell them it was a gun. Throw it in the box (STS) and away it goes. M2 I see your logic serious canidate for BUG. But just looking at it makes me think of wanting to holdup a liqour store. Puts some Duct tape on that grip (or some rubberbands) and you'll be ready to go! Speaking of which I just sent my new XDM out the door today and it should come back looking like this (minus the stainless slide)... Competition season is about to open and I wanted a new blaster. Speaking of which with arrendondo basepads in the XDM you get 23+1 9mm and 19+1 .40. It's finally warming up here so the range is gonna be hot this weekend. Cooter
  10. The first page is he hardest, selecting AFSC/Locs. You can select an AFSC and then multiple locs in rank order where you would like to go. At the top make sure you select the widget for which assignment preference you want (1st choice, 2nd et.) After that it's career vectoring (like CH said above) and finally your personal thoughts on what you want to do with a block for your commander below that. I believe the old T-ODP sent an email to your CC but I don't think ADP does so give them a heads up. Cooter P.S And yes I'm now an OG Exec...I know me now but I'm working for a former -111/-15E WSO that is bringing lots of perspective to a a place that lost it for a while.
  11. Have worked with many of these awesome professionals. Rest easy brother. Coot

Glad to help. They do tend to be on the high side with their prices sometimes but it varies. I walked out the door the other day with a Bushmaster Optics Ready Carbine for $975 the other day, and suggested retail is $1100. Not sure how apt they are to wheeling and dealing either. Good Luck. M2 I went in to the Bullet Hole here in Omaha to order my new XDm Custom Competition and they have a Webley in the case. I haven't checked it out yet but it definitley caught my eye. It's like $1100-1200 I think. I can check it out and see if it's what you're looking for. Let me know if you're interested. Cooter
  14. Just got an email this morning saying they were putting out near beer that some TCN's were drinking and the Qatari's said something to the effect of "you are corrupting morals of Muslims". What the Fnck ever. Hopefully the POTUS or State Dept or whoever says "you know what...Fnck you" and the last plane to leave should be a BOne with a bunch of spare GBU-38's that it just so happens to need to get tid of on all the stuff we've built up out there. The Saudi's started pulling similar crap right before they kicked us out too, food for thought. Coot
  15. Is this the EOD one? where they ask about what types of bombs, rockets, etc. they are? If it's the same one I'm thinking of it's not that hard. You can run through it in 10 MIKE or so. Come on...can't you tell the difference between a rocket, mortar, submunition, etc.? The SABC one is the one you need to worry aboot. Who the hell knows what a naraphalengeal...whatever the fnck tube its called is? That one is a bitch. We don't have a .doc sheet for it but we definitely "help eachother out. Cooter
  16. After years and years of going to the Deid (after two years in country trust me i know) the booze shortage thing is a come and go thing (STS). The real problem is the I/Emmigration thing nowadays. Those of you out there recently suerly know what I mean. I just returned from a relay (hopefully my last time to that shithole) and shit was bad, crews being deported and the such. After my current job I should be deployed to more forward areas and the Deid will be a memory. I don't know what else to say other than those little heathen bastards have benefitted from everyting we've brought (money, infrastructure and mostly AIRPOWER) to their sphere of infleunce but that place just pisses me off. I remember a time when there was less than 1,500 people and we still did all the same shit we are doing now. The Deid is now a place for services' pukes and shoes alike to get their "combat" time. I'm a Recce guy and I know I'm not in the shit everyday like most of our bros out there but me and my crews have done some awesome things that I am pretty proud of. If you've ever encountereed me or my bretheren you know what I mean. My last trip (and I hopefully mean my last trip) just solidified my convictions. That place is WAY beyond its britches. I don't need fancy videos or booze (although I love it) or bullshit PPT's to tell me how well my crews are doing 9Those who have had to endure the end of AEF briefs know what I am talking about). Lets go back to simple aircrew doing what needs to be done to get he fncking job done. IMHO the Deid is what is fundamentally wrong with today's Air Force. Let us go back to FLY, FIGHT and WIN! Cooter FYI...I flew a sortie where our system crapped out and my best bro showed up from Kadena toaday so I've had a few drinks to say the least.
  17. Not really a superstition but I fly with a flag I've had since I was a young Lt and has been on almost every Ops/Training mission I have flown. Isn't it one of Murphy's laws that if you feel safe something is about to go wrong? I still get nervous getting a checkride. Part of it is over thinking and telling myself not to screw up but the other is making sure that the bro's know that I have my shit wired tighter than a snare drum. I think it's more letting my fellow crewdogs down by fncking up a checkride than me feeling sorry for myself. In the end I just tell myself to do my thing andd get the job done. Cooter
  18. I know 2 Recce pilots that have gone to B-2s in the last year or so. Just sayin'. Cooter
  19. So back in spring of '07 they started on those new shitters right next to the old ones...are those even done yet? I only ask becasue they should have been done in 3 months at most and when I left in winter '08 they still weren't. I'll be there for a week soon if anyone is out there and wants to shoot the shit. Cooter
  20. Usually when the wind blows from the south or southeast. VERY large camel herds roam the desert in that direction and they smell like...well...Shit. Cooter
  21. It's something to behold when you see them stripped down to the bones. I've been to the depot and walked around inside planes I've flown on and it's a weird feeling. Cooter
  22. You know what, I have 64 days of leave. I'm pretty sure that I'll be taking every monday off until those are gone. This is the most unfncking believable ting ever. Are they trying to make a point...then what the hell is it. No offense but WE (flyers) are not the same as Amn Snuffleufugus. Yes we're all important and have to make veryone feel they are as such but in the words of a great man...YGBSM!!!!!!!!!!! Cooter BTW Ribbons on blue uniforms except service dress...GAY!
  23. Count me in. Cooter
  24. THE RED OCTOBER!?!?!?!?!?! All kidding aside we were just talking about this today and I think we can all agree that really it would mean nothing (Although a Blackjack loaded with nuclear tipped cruise missiles blasting out of Havanna doesn't leave much time for a reaction) but do we really want Bears and Blackjacks flying in our backyard? Yes we have Forward Deployed locations for bombers and such but this would definitely be an unprecedented move for Russia. Lets hope it doesn't bring about another Cuban Missile Crisis. Cooter
  25. Been following this since it was first released and all I can say or think is to to them. Cheers brothers your service will be remembered. Cooter
