  1. E-pubs are usually allowed. Ask your stan/eval. HD
  2. 120 to 0 in .0078 seconds = Ouch. HD
  3. Yeah. HD
  4. Heavy guys who get selected have to go through T-38 transition prior to their class start. The whole class flies the same aircraft regardless of background. HD
  5. Ouch. Iris Simulations also seems to be a little confused when it comes to AF paint schemes. HD
  6. Done. HD
  7. It was only a matter of time... HD
  8. That's definitely the first instance I've heard of someone going to a Phoenix program without being an IP. HD
  9. Was it Phoenix Crossflow that your friend went throught, or another Phoenix program? Was the C-17 guy a Phoenix Crossflow guy? HD
  10. Kind of. Once you hit IP in the Herk, they're not going to release you to a white jet. But the Phoenix Crossflow program requires IP experience. HD
  11. See, you missed your opportunity. 9 times out of 10, a nazi confronting you has something wrong on his uniform as well. If he's going to come confront you about your reflective belt, you might want to ask him if "Do you guys" is the best way to address two officers you don't know. And this is a good example of the above point. After this reg came down, I'd still have people ask me why I wasn't wearing a reflective belt while walking to chow. I always answered, "What is the regulation?" and walked away before they could answer. HD
  12. So the solution isn't working, but he says it was his idea? HD
  13. Are you kidding me? HD
  14. The time between takeoff and landing. HD
  15. OJ gets pranked. (Link NSFW) HD
  16. That is the answer. A simple "No" or "I don't have time for this" is all it takes. The problem is some people are afraid to say it. HD
  17. The Duke was the only CP to never sit duty dog. HD
  18. Most shoeclerks speak through their wing commanders. HD
  19. Classic. HD
  20. Sick. HD
  21. One of my favorites. HD
  22. I'm still wondering about the "actual breaking demonstration" tag at the bottom of the screen. On what planet does Ford's advertising think this is true? HD
  23. Ambien will not get you med DQ'ed. We take Ambien in the desert while on flying status. There are plenty of techniques when it comes to managing your sleep. The two that work for me are: 1) Work out regularly. 2) Put a movie on the tv/laptop that seen a thousand times. I'll watch it for 15 minutes or so and end up turning on my side away from the screen and just listening to the movie. Before I know it zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. HD
  24. While your husband's in UPT, you won't be doing a lot of stuff with the actual squadron. The students, although officially stationed at Vance, aren't really "squadron members" per se. The whole permanent party vs. student thing. The class has to take care of itself when it comes to social stuff. It will be what you make of it. Some classes do zero stuff outside of the flight room and some classes are like a frat house. The initial cookout/boozefest is a great opportunity for the class members to get together and for the wives to get to know each other. From there you can exchange contact info and start hatching plans. Plan to have class parties for all of the "next steps" in UPT. (i.e.- academics complete, midphase checkrides complete, solos complete, track select, etc. etc. etc. If the studs have something to look forward to outside of training, UPT will be easier for everyone. HD
  25. Boom Operators - We've been waiting for you. HD
