Classic Thread - Pilot poser on Corvette Forum
A search of "+military +poser" turned it up. https://www.flyingsquadron.com/forums/index...poser&st=20 Sadly, the sound files are no longer there, but still good reading. WxPunk, bring 'em back! HD

It's gotten even better with "Dimestore" now posting. Here's his first post: Nice, a fighter pilot who can't even spell FNG. If that wasn't bad enough, here's his attempt to gain credibility (remember he's pretending to be a vietnam-era Rhino driver). HD

Just pointing out that there are some airlifters (like Bender) who get escort service regularly. HD

C130J (Herc) info
Why would you want to break out of Herkisms? The J is still a Herk and the herkisms have been working fine for 50 years. I just don't see the need for C-17 perspective in the J-world. You can teach a C-17 driver how to fly a Herk, but you can't make him a Herk pilot. Everyone who's had a phoenix crossflow guy in their squadron knows this. You grow up with the mindset your community beat into your brain. I'm not saying that those aren't the reasons. I'm just saying that if that's how Big Blue is justifying it, then they are flimsy reasons. You can teach a monkey to manage systems. A C-17 guy learned 2-man crew coordination and automation management when he was in initial qual. An E/H driver going through J-school can learn the same concepts just fine. If crew coordination and a HUD are the only reason why Big Blue thinks they need C-17 experience, then it doesn't sound like it's accomplishing much. HD

C130J (Herc) info
I understand the "crew compliment similarity" arguement, but I can't buy it. Flying props vs. jets is the main difference. We've been doing just fine training E/H drivers to fly the J. HD

Not yet for AD. No. Makes zero sense to me. HD

Same as any airframe. There are plenty of airframes besides the B-2 that have only one or two bases and it's common for the pilots to stay in one place for quite a while. PCS's outside of your MWS (staff tour, etc.) will generally take you outside the normal bases for your MWS. HD

I think it happens plenty. No too often on Baseops though. Thanks to the wealth and scope of experience of our members, posers generally get booted within about two posts. But it's always fun when a CAPSoftSandy rolls through. HD

FAKE! Posers always use this same story to defend themselves. A few details may change but the meat of the story is always the same. Here's the standard profile: 1) I don't have to prove myself to you. - Immediately after which the poser begins to "prove" himself to you. - Expect him to post info about the unit or base he's at. - He may post some callsigns at this point. - This is the area where the poser will give you the most rope to hang him with. 2) Don't dig to deep, you'll get burned by the molten lava. - The poser will warn you to not to mess with him. - The poser will claim a high rank, a boss with a high rank, or some other untouchability. 3) If you mess with me, the authorities will get you. - The poser will claim an ability to hurt you. - He may claim he or his boss will talk to your boss. - For some reason, posers think military officers have the right to sic the police on anyone who pisses them off. Along these lines, the poser may claim that if you mess with him, there will be a JAG/OSI/FBI/DEA/ATF/CIA/NSA shitstorm waiting on your doorstep when you get home. The poser may support this claim by telling you he works a highly classified job or has an above TS level clearance. Action: Continue to tear apart as required. Maximize public humiliation to the best of your ability. Also, since he's such a good attorney, you might want to ask him exactly what interent laws you are breaking by calling him a liar. HD

Viper experience is not a prerequisite to shut this dipfuck down. Bunk22, quit posting about it and go tear this guy apart. Otherwise Toro will eventually do it for you. HD

Ammo against the shoe clerks!
There's nothing wrong with calling it a chow hall. The phrase "DFAC" denotes a "dining experience". You don't "dine" on a sloppy joe that was originally pepper steak that was originally a boiled sirloin (grade-D edible). "Chow hall" is generous enough. HD

Yep. When you're min-turning all over the world, waiting two hours to get to your room is a pain in the ass. HD
